Am Writing
What have I been doing this week? I've been deep in edits for The Madam Doubles Down. That one took me a few tries to get things just right.
So, this week I've been doing first edits. There's no pub date or cover yet, but I'll share as soon as I know.
My original draft had too much drama and I still ended up deciding to delete too scenes which are large sections. I decided to check with my editor first to see what she recommended.
I like the way I handled things but I'm thinking of changing some part of the ending. Not sure. We'll see.
I also completed the next Fairy Mafia book. I'm waiting to hear back from Evernight on that. I ended up calling it the Black Queen. Jorja is pretty active in it and has a few clashes with her cousin and Clive over her choices. However, Jena is ever more constant.
Now, I'm waiting for the next round of edits as I work on the next AC book. I will tell you that Detective Russell is getting a feature role unless I throw that to Agent White. I had some things I wanted to do with White that I still might do in this one. White is about to get seriously pissed off at Alexi. The question is, will Alexi kill her?
I'm toying with that or doing something completely different. I just don't think Alexi is going to have any fun merely killing White. I think that would be too easy. Nothing is set in stone yet though.
I'll share a few excerpts once I've gotten further along in the story. Have a good weekend and happy read.
