Excerpt
This is an excerpt from AC7. I'm in the middle of doing my first read through before submitting it to Evernight.
This excerpt is from somewhere around the middle of the book. I just added it today to give a little more substance to the scene.
Alexi surprised her then, moving so fast Tatiana barely had time to blink before Alexi’s hands were sliding into her pockets and tugging her against her.
Their lips were close, so close they would touch at the slightest movement and their breaths mingled, her own coming out rough and shallow.

1st Draft Done
Wow, that was a surprise ending to AC7. I finished it yesterday. Now, now on to the rewrite where I'll decide what to take how, and if I need to add more scenes.
But I am excited about this one. I didn't see the twist at the end coming. I had envisioned one thing and did something completely different. I hope I pull it off as smooth as I want to.
Let's see. Two things happened in this one that I hadn't planned on. I surprise visit and tentative alliance formed between Alexi and character from another book. That's going to change the plan for how I write the next book in that series. Not telling but I bet someone can guess which character.
And instead of switching back to Fairy Mafia to finish up, it's on hold temporarily while I write two more books in this series. Warning, these books will not feature Alexi as the main character.
I plan to write them a little shorter and focus on a developing plot. One of them with April which also includes the other character who will be getting her own story, Gracelyn and Zoe.
That is what I can tell you. The mystery character and Alexi will have further interaction in a bit of a crossover down the line. Though this character will make another appearance in this series.
How this happened I don't even know. I was just writing away and bam. There she was giving Alexi something she needed. I know you're going to guess it now, but what the hell.
So gonna be writing the first of two short books this week and doing edits on that 1st draft of AC 7 which has no title as of yet.
I had not planned to give April her own story, but the events that unfolded in this one made it mandatory. I have already started on the book this morning in fact. I have the first 1000 words written. I admit they are a scene from AC 7 that is rewritten. It will be a dream sequence to start the book. I can't share because it will give away the twist.
I will be crazy busy this week so we'll see how much headway I make with the writing. The editing will be getting done and I'll share a few excerpts.
For now, most of what I share about my writing will be on here. I'll put some on my website like the cover reveal but not much.

Those two stores will be shorter around 20-35,000. Yep, they will tie in to the current plot line.
Another event happened in this book which was third twist I didn't see coming either. I might change it. If I don't, Slate will be getting a more visible role in the next book where Alexi is lead.

This Week
I finished final edits for The Madam Doubles Down, but still no release date. Will update when I get one.
Onto the next book. I'm in the thick of the next book in the AC series. I've finished the first Act and I'm moving into Act II.
Here is a brief excerpt. I know it's really a teaser.
Bringing down a notorious criminal was every agent’s dream, and Kimberly was no different.
Destroying Alexi Russo would be a comfort to her for two reasons, starting with the fact that Russo had launched a campaign to destroy her family because her father wouldn’t play ball with her.
For that, Kimberly planned to see Alexi Russo in jail for the rest of her life.
I'll share another excerpt from deeper in the book next week. This one is the very first few lines from the opening.
