Abigail Love Romance

Head Over Heels

I've been head over heels for you since day one.

A day without you is like a day without sunshine.
Being with you is a wish come true.
We are connected in each other's thoughts two hearts that became one.
You are.....
I did not know it was possible to love so deeply until I met you
You are the bacon to my eggs
You are the cream to my coffee
You are the jelly to my peanut butter
You are the milk to my cookie
You are the smile to my face
This is a fairytale/legendary romance

Someday my prince will come and he will be Bass Reeves

Love is poetic and beautiful. Falling in love is what every little girl dreams of. I always dreamed my prince would a badass like Bass Reeves. He come to my town and rescue me from bad guys and then become the sheriff of the town. I'd sit on our porch and watch as he tipped his hat and winked at me as he drug the bad guy jail. O’ the dreams of a girl geek who loved to read.

I kissed a frog and I think I liked it.

I’ve always wanted to be a princess. I even wanted to kiss the frog that turned into a prince. I can vividly remember my mother who a preschool teacher was reading my siblings and I fairytales at bedtime and when we took a naps in summertime.    I would close my eyes and imagine myself as the Cinderella, Snow White or Little Red Ridinghood. Though Little Red Ridinghood was not a princess, in my book she was.      I guess you could say I fell in love, with love, on those nights/and days that my mom would open her book of Grimm’s Fairytales.  I never grew up to be princess but I did kiss a frog who liked being a frog. No, he never turned into a prince. He was too happy being a frog. But in my heart he was my prince.

Abigail Loves Springtime

I love Spring. Springtime always renews my commitment to life and the beauty of Earth in blossom. While my allergies always come to life at the same time as the Earth, I still find myself sitting in the park surveying all the beauty before me.  The beauty of flowers as they bloom, dancing in April showers while waiting on May flowers  helps me shake the winter blues away.
I’ve been fortune enough to spend Springtime in Paris which was life changing. The beauty of the Eiffel Tower set against the back drop of a Spring shower was like manna from the goddess. Paris in Springtime is beautiful, but Springtime where ever I am is beautiful.
Springtime blooms as the Earth rejuvenate it’s self as the snow melts and the birds again chirp their beautiful song. The Earth trembles as April showers roll in paving the way for fertile earth and gardens of hope and love to spring forth in renewed hope for those who find love in Springtime.

Random and Pointless Crap by Abigail

Add captionMy daughter is beautiful and she hates cake.  My son is handsome and he hates cake too. I was there when they were born but I have doubts if they are my genetic kids.
I love cake. Yellow cake, Chocolate cake, Lemon cake, any cake that is delicious and can be baked, I will at my leisure partake. But the daughter I gave birth to on Easter Sunday does not like cake. How could that be! Her mother LOVES and ADORES cake.
My sons smile is warm and inviting, he walks with the ultimate of manly confidence. While his father is handsome, my son clean up nice. He loves to smile, he charming and he likes people. I on the other hand avoid people, smile when I have to and I am cute but not as cute and charming as my son and he hates cake too.
I often wonder how I went right in rearing the children. Looking at their faces I wonder who their real mother is cause she ain’t me, I love cake!

The Thomas Crown Affair & The American President

I absolutely adore the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair with Pierce Brosnon and Rene Russo. Almost as much as I adore The American President with Kirk Douglas and Annette Bennett.
It’s hard to find great love stories with older women and men as characters. Most often love is for the young and fleetingly beautiful. O’ how I hate I missed the golden age of movies when An Affair to Remember was on the big screen.
The cat and mouse game that these two older couples play, always seems richer and deeper. I was a rather young woman when both The American President and The Thomas Crown remake came to the screen, but I appreciated the depth of the characters and the beauty in the way that each couple seemed too timed and shy with each other.
I am a sucker for love…..
