Life with Abigal!

Greek philosopher Aristotle published a metaphysical work that included the first known classification of everything whatsoever, or being. I’ve always loved Aristotle and the train of thought that lead him to write “whatsoever, or being.” If you classified me, I would be your average 40-something, divorced mom of two, with a Collie named Lucy who thinks she’s human. I get the feeling I would fall under the classification of “whatsoever, or being. No, I am not from another planet. Although there are time when I get my dander up and you would swear I am from Mars.
I am just your average grammar and punctuation challenged mom ,who’s crumbling under the pressure of life ,I suppose. I have two kids in college and their demands on my merger salary are outrageous. The old Jetta needs new tires, I need a new pair of shoes and Lucy needs a hug. Life’s just that tough for old Jane Bond these day. Did I mention the ex-husband who’s creeping his way back into the house?
Whatever I’ve learn in life can truly fit into a six page book.
1. Life is hard yet, there should be someone in your life that can commiserate with you on occasion
2. Your mom was right. Nothing good happens after midnight if your sad and lonely ex-husband shows up with a bottle of wine and great chocolate.
3. Kids cost money and they NEVER go AWAY. They usually bring other people back to your house to live, ask for money and drive you crazy. You might have started out with two kids but before it’s over you’ll have ten who act like you gave birth to them.
4. Great Grammar & Punctuation is all it’s cracked up to be. Trying being an author and having screwed up grammar.
5. I once dreamed I was the Greek historian Herodotus seeing the Ishtar Gate for the first time. Funny thing is I was twelve and had never heard of Herodotus or Ishtar’s Gate.
6. I also accept the responsibility that goes with ignoring all life’s problems. Rather than deal with life’s hardship, I think I’ll have a shower and an ice cream problem.

A Poets Misguided Soul

Writers block.
Try as I might I can't seem to write. The more I try the more the words of desolate poet come out. I am a poet without a dream, a poet with a writers soul, a failed poet who exceeds at nothing. I am a dreary soul looking for an outlet

Cheese, Wine and A Good Book

I don’t have a favorite cheese. I actually love them all. Swiss, Cheddar, Muster, Colby, Gouda Sharp White Cheddar, Brie, they all have a place on my fruit and cheese platter. I often sit in front of the fireplace in my bedroom, reading, listening to music, while enjoying a nice bottle of white wine; while I devour a platter of cheese, and fruit. When I am really feeling decadent I have Brie with apricots in a wonderful puff pastry with walnuts. Grapes, apples, pears, apricots and
When I plan to spend the day writing or reading, I make the most elegant of cheese and fruit platters. Overflowing with fruit cheese, nuts, olives crostini, crackers and mustard (a personal favorite). I sit in my favorite chair are at my desk I spend the day enjoying myself with this wonderful treat.

Abby's Dream Cars

If I could have any five car in the world I would first select the Fiat 500 Jolly. What an awesome car. The Jolly was a favorite of the rich and famous when it was first introduced into the European car market. Fiat Jolly’s are just the cutest cars. The wicker seats and open sides are perfect for the beach for which they were created to carry their riders.
I also add the Model T to my car collection. What a beautiful car. I love the ambiance of the Model T. How much fun would I have driving around down, top down, hair blowing in the air.

2014 YEAR IN REVIEW/New Year’s Resolution

2014 YEAR IN REVIEW
Learned stuff, ate more than I needed, read a lot, watched TV, played on FB. In the 2014 was very interesting.
Therefore, it’s time for my resolution
New Year’s Resolution
1.Eat more bacon. Nothing says love like a healthy portion of bacon on a BLT or bacon and egg sandwich. In 2015 I want to make it my mission to eat more bacon!
2.Cuss more. Every now and then a nice well placed cuss word soothes the soul and shocks folks. Nothings says “phuck” better than the word itself.
3. Plan to stop procrastinating before December 31, 2015
4. Cook more spaghetti.
5. Blog more
6. Drink more hot chocolate
7. Watch more television
8. Enjoy the sweeter side of life - M&Ms, Hershey kisses, candy corns, and chocolate cake
9. Keep my opinions to myself (yeah, right).
10. Be less perfect
11. Tolerate fools more gladly
12. Read constantly
13. Eat less healthy
14. Feel freer to unfriend, unfollow, those whose views are borderline Katshiat Krazy
15. Eat more baked potatoes & prime rib
16. Dance naked more
17. Try and contact aliens
18. Watch Netflix’s more
19. Sleep more
20. Eat more ice cream Abigail-Madison Chase
