Here is a little bit about this work.

Blurb:

Satisfy your appetite for spicy sensuality and provocative plots with these dishes of erotica.

Main Course: Delectable Things

Sabrina can’t believe her ears. The man she’s been fawning over for far too long now has completely turned on her, leaving her with nothing. Sabrina decides it’s time to get up and get away.

Taking a long over due trip far away from her bane, things steam up really quickly and Sabrina discovers all of the Delectable Things that life has to offer.

Dessert #1: Simmer Sweet

It is said that confession is good for the soul. Does it still ring true when circumstances are complicated? Kesha has finally come clean. She has let Teresa know about her feelings. The only drawback is Teresa’s engagement to Chris. Teresa is forced to make a choice between Chris and Kesha. The fallout will be nothing less than a fire of simmer sweet.

Dessert #2: Handy

Darbi has had her share of bad luck. She is unexpectedly in job purgatory and has no chance of ever getting a promotion. Her online dating profile sat months without any responses. Why should she continue?

As she signed on to delete everything entirely, three responses catch her eye. All are different but each has something about them which makes Darbi want to meet all three. Ade appears to be the guy next door. Boyde looks like a supermodel. Choise looks like the rugged type.

When all is not what it seems, Darbi has concluded that her love life is mating with her job status in purgatory. Will anything come in handy to turn her luck around?

Why read Delectable Things: Special Edition?

There are a variety of reasons why, but we’ll focus on just three of them.

3countdown

Author Synful Desire is a proud representative of the LGBT community. As so she eloquently and honestly puts it, she writes “Literature for unorthodox romantic situations.

Countdown2-Small

There is nothing about Synful Desire’s approach to erotica that says “Slam, bam, thank you ma’am“, she writes her stories with depth of character and intensity of plot. There is a realness to her contemporary fiction that brings the reader in and envelopes their psyches. The erotic aspect is just a plus.

Once you’ve read Author Synful Desire’s work, you’ve immediately become a fanLGBT or otherwise. She writes erotica for the masses, and her approach is unparalleled. It is a well balanced mixture of literary elegance and in vogue indulgence.

That moment when your mind just won’t stop.

I know and realize that this post is incredibly random, but sometimes one just can’t stop thinking. You know? Today is one of those days for me.

I was thinking about readers, writers and reviewers.

I realize that not everyone is going to like ones book idea as much as one would. That’s a given. But, I can”t help but wonder, “How fair is it when a reader gives a book that he or she has read a low rating … not because it was a bad book, but because it was something they wouldn’t normally read?

Truthfully, I don’t think that that’s fair at all. Let’s look at the reasons why:

The reader picked that book up and read it voluntarily. It’s not like the author said, “Hey YOU! Yeah, you! You better pick my book up and read it right now, or else!” No. The reader chose to pick that book up and read it. KNOWING that it wasn’t in their preferred genre. Willingly.
Giving a lower rating simply because you didn’t like the genre of the book, after you’ve picked it up on your own accord, will also drop the overall rating of the book. This isn’t fair to the author.
This type of thing can potentially impede the sales of the book which has been scored low due to genre discrimination

I mean, I can totally understand when a reader picks up a book within his/her preferred genre and gives it a low rating due to the book not being good. However, I just really think it’s overall unfair when a reviewer says, “This book is really good, but since it’s not a genre that I normally read, I’m just going to go ahead and rate it a 3 stars, cause that’s the best I can give it since I don’t like the genre.“

All Authors Blog Blitz

A good friend of mine had this happen to her. I’m not naming names, but I’ll tell you a little bit about what happened to her. She wrote a story–a good one I might add. Most people whom have read her story, including myself, has loved the book and she’s never gotten less than 4 stars. These scores were well deserved I might add. The story is outstanding.

Yet, one day, apersonwith whom she networkedoffered to read her story and provide a review for it. Here, allow me to reiterate: SHE OFFERED!

So, my friend, being grateful for the potential review to come gave that person a copy of her book, explained what genre it was and the premise of the story, and waited. One day,the review showed up. It read something to the effect of:

This is a great story, with a great premise. It is had this, that and the other, and I highly recommend it for people that read this genre. However, since this isn’t a genre that I typically read, I can only give it 3 stars.

1962e-what-hi

That’s so totally uncool! You mean to tell me, it’s just okay to lower your ranking of a perfectly good story just because you didn’t like the genre?! If you don’t like that genre then why in the hell are you reading it?!

This kills me. Are there any other authors out there experiencing the same problem? I’m just curious.

Lots of love to you all,

Rosie

Excerpt:

Girl, I cant believe he did that shit!

Sabrina was now on the phone with her friend, Rachel. This day was one of the worst days of her life. She couldnt believe she had gotten fired and the behavior of Mr. Torrance. He was using his personal feelings to try and justify this decision. The thing that pissed her off the most was that Veronica had set out to ruin her.

Yeah, I cant believe it either. Especially Veronica. The bitch had me on tape! I couldnt say shit to defend myself!

So Sabrina, what are you gonna do?

Find another job; what else?

I mean, do you have enough in your savings to cover the rent? I know the place you are in now is hella expensive.

I got enough back in my savings for another four months or so, but after that, Im going to have to find a new place to live.

Well love, you can always move here.

She and Rachel had talked about this before. Sabrina knew that Rachel had feelings that went beyond friendship. As much as she loved Rachel as a friend, she didnt have feelings for Rachel that extended past that point. This was why she would usually reject Rachels offers for help.

However, her back was up against the wall.

She knew it wouldnt take long before word got back to her father, if it hadnt already. Her father would not be pleased, since he pulled some major strings for her to work at Joynt Enterprises. It would hurt her greatly if her fathers business got negatively impacted due to her fallout with Mr. Torrance. She didnt know if shed be able to face him or if she could live with her father, given the circumstances.

Peeved? Yes! Discouraged? No!

Alright …

I realized that this “publishing game” isn’t all too easy. I get it. Really, I do. But, must some people be so damn rude all the time?

warning

Venting session in progress …

Some time ago I did two things as per recommend by my publisher in order to get the word out about my books.

(1) I did a paperback giveaway and sent the winners their copies.

(2) I reached out to several reviewers in order to try to get on their queues. I had no real expectation as to when the book would be reviewed and was more than willing to wait whatever time necessary. I know how busy reviewers can get.

Truth be told, I try my best to never hold too many expectations, but there are some things that I do always expect and they are simple.

(1) Keep your word.

(2) Be cordial.

Easy!

its-easy

But no. Instead of getting those things, what do I get … ?

This!

10

So … out of the estimated 10 or more submissions to reviewers that I sent out, only 2 got back to me. One said“Thank you for your request but we will not be reading your book at this time.” the other said something along those same lines, and added “… I may consider you again in the future.”

May” and “consider” being the operative words.

what i know

I know that this entire thing–publishing and all that jazz–isn’t an easy mountain to climb. But, damn, why can’t people just do what they say they are going to do? More than that, why must people be so curt and unwelcoming. So, just because I’m new at this game and my publisher is too, then no one wants to look at my material.

Hey, let me let you in on a little secret … The Big Five, are not the only ones that publish talent. As the matter of fact–calling a spade, a spade here–they are getting less and less talented. BOOM! It was said and I’m not taking it back.

I’m truly sick and damn tired of the stigma against US--the new kids on the block.

what-not-to-say-to-short-girls-6

Let me let y’all in on another much bigger secret …

Psst

The Authors of All Authors Publishing House are PRETTY FREAKING AWESOME! I don’t care what anyone says. I know this for a fact. Not being full of myself, just telling it like it is.

Have you guys even taken the time to READ our stuff? Probably not.

There is Synful Desire, Da’Kharta Rising, Adonis Mann, Queen of Spades. If y’all haven’t read our stuff then you’re missing out!

I am SO PROUD to be considered part of this group!

1306920

Another thing … I’ve been trying for months now to connect with other authors. To make friends, to be part of the “in crowd”, if you will. Can you believe that half time time Iget ignored altogether? Very rarely are other authors open to connecting and socializing. I keep wondering if I’m doing something wrong. Because, when I approach other authors, I DO NOT DO IT SO THAT THEY WILL READ MY BOOK, unlike they have done to me.

It’s like “Oh, you want to be my ‘friend’?” Insert hidden meaning of “friend” here. This apparently is that I must want them to read my book. So they go on, “Then read/buy my book first.”

And I’m all like, “Dude, I just wanted to say hello.”

I’ve had people “invite” me to like their pages, read their books, follow them, and a butt load of other things–which I’m willing to do, if they’d only treat me like a human being–to only be reciprocated with a cold shoulder.

Sorry, but … um … !

#WTF

chris-rock-huh-face

Look, all I’m saying is this.

I DON’T expect to be a super star or anything, but what the hell happened to people keeping their word and offering other the common courtesy of being treated like a human being? Also, when did people stop considering wanting to read new authors’?

What makes Concordant Vibrancy Different than most Short Story anthologies?

It was best described by Y. Correa, the Founder of All Authors Publications and Promotions …

Excerpt of Concordant Vibrancy:

Once upon a time I sat under a large and old treethe tree was surrounded by many others like it, all of them contented with one another.

I marveled at the wave of wind that passed by, which like an invisible tide drew past the trees making the leaves on them swish like the perfect choreographed symphonyfirst one, then swiftly and smoothly the rest followed in suit. It was an inspiring thing to behold.

I thought

There is no better demonstration of unity than that of Mother Earth. She teaches us that all things are connectedthe heavens to the earth, the earth to the ocean, the ocean to the heavensround and round it goes, dancing without squabble in absolute unison. It truly is a beautiful thing to see.

In addition I pondered

As the matter of fact, the bigger picture is that the entire universe is connected. Whilst our planet is the size of a marble in comparison to the enormity of our universe, that by no means makes us any less valuable. She, Mother Earth, depends on the universe and vice versa. Could you imagine the impact on our solar system if just one planet became misaligned with the rest, just the smallest bit askew? We would all feel the repercussions of that micro-movement. The surface of earth would spin out of control, ravaging humanity with a cataclysm of natural devastation.

And so, I thought further, and said to myself, Does humanity not realize the impact they have between one another? Do they not see that one action of strife can cause a wave of destruction?

While it is true that I do not know you, I know this; you and I are linked simply because we are inhabitants of this planet.

Why do I say these things? Because unity was the foundation of the establishment of All Authors Publications and Promotions.

A year and a half ago a thought occurred to me, it was Why are authors competing with one another? Why cant they just work together? Now Im certain that I was not the first person to think that way, and certainly not the first to act on it, but I did see that while some authors were trying to work together they were doing it in a way that rivaled one another. It was around that time that the idea of the All Authors Blog Blitz crossed my mind.

Id done some research on Blog Blitzes, their use and aim, and I thought, we can all do that together. We can create a tidal wave of recognition if we just work together.

What I did not expect was all that would follow after the All Authors Blog Blitz. In less than a years time, All Authors Publications and Promotions was born. A place created by an author, for authors, trying to establish unity in this market.

In time the All Authors Magazine was born, then All Authors Graphic Design, then the All Authors Certificate of Excellence, and many more projects.

Some people ask me why I chose the name All Authors. Well, thats pretty self-explanatory, its because we advocate all authors, and try to reach all readers.

So, like leaves on a tree, we are all connected.

Mother Earth, the best example of unity mankind has.

It was important to portray both the unification and individuality of each author as well as the theme of this anthology on its cover. In the introduction of Concordant Vibrancy, Y. I was eighteen. A man in both body and mind. No longer was I the boy that wished to prove himself a man. There was no doubting iteveryone knew the man I had become. My wife, family and friends were proud of the person I now was. Everyone knew, as did I, that as the first born son I would be the inheritor of my father’s reign. Unless of course, something should happen to me. Now, in being a husband and a prince, I was of the right mind to have many sons. This was, after all, the way of my people.
I was hunting, readying my wife, soon to be born child and myself for the winter that was quickly approaching. From afar I heard my sister’s voice calling me. Amari! Amari! Come… come quick! It is time!
The thought came that I must have lost track of time, I had not realized that I had been away so long. That morning Sulika mentioning that she felt some discomfort. When I asked her if she would be alright, she assured me that she was fine, that there was nothing to worry about as she still had another two weeks before her child baring day. So clenching my teeth, I went ahead and left to hunt, deciding against my better judgment.
And yet, here was my little sister, gravely calling for me to return.
There was no denying it, the time had come. I would be a father. Today. Running fast through the jungle, making certain that I would not miss the big event, I practically flew through it. All of the women gathered together in Sulika’s birthing hut call out to me, urging me to hurry. Sulika had been calling for me. It was not customary that a man enter the birthing hut, but this time the women made an exception as I was being insistently requested by my wife.
Sulika’s mother came to me, Amari. Please, hurry. She has been calling for you.
Sulika? I called softly, she heard me and looked over in my direction. Her skin so very palea thin blanket of snow upon rich chocolate skin, it was. Completely flushed of color. Her lips were dry and cracked.
She saw me and reached to me, Amari, she spoke, so softly, so void of strength, that I barely made out what she had said. Come.
Closing the distance between us, I sat at her side and took her hand in mine. Then grabbed a rag that was beside me and wiped her head. I’m here now. Fear not.
She smiled a very weak, fragile grin, Yes. Thank you. This birthing was indeed taking a toll on her.
No worries love, soon it will all be over and you will be holding our baby in your arms in no time at all, I smiled at her and continued chatting, hoping inwardly that it was making her feel better. It will be a boy. Strong, like his father. His mother’s eyes. We will walk around the entire village displaying his greatness. Everything will be over before you know it.
A contraction. She squeezed my hand with whatever strength she still contained. She moaned and whimpered. My heart broke for her. With my other hand, I rubbed her back, I am here, love. I am right here. She breathed, trying to ease the pain. Still it was of no use because she had no strength. No fight was left in her. So once again I commenced my babbling, hoping that to a certain extent it would help her feel bettereven if just the slightest bit. When he grows, I will make sure that he becomes the tribe’s best hunter. And, he will be the tribe’s strongest man,
She looked at me with hopeless eyes. What if it is a girl?
Well if it is a girl, she will look and be everything like her mother. Nothing like her father. I would not want to ruin a perfectly good thing.
Another contraction. She tensed. I could feel the pain that ran through her also run through me. I wished and prayed to all the tribal gods that they would help me ease her pain somehow.
My mother pulled me aside for just a moment. Amari, she is not well. We are doing everything we can. But, her labor is not normal. The child is breached. She is losing too much blood.
My hands began to shake, I was irrecoverably unnerved. What is going to happen, Mama?
I do not know my son. We are doing all that we can. I hope the gods help her through this.
For a long time, I did not leave her side, not letting her hand go for a second. I could feel the life drain from her with every breath. I worried deeply for her and my unborn child.
After several hours of agony and pain, it was time.
All the women scurried around her, cheering her on as best as they could. Some ran about trying to collect cloths, others gathered hot water, some had tools in their hands. And Sulika, was weakened flimsy and lifeless. I panicked. They were screaming, yelling, fussing about.
All of it seemed like a blur. My eyes were fixed on my wife, observing that she was even paler now, than just a little while ago. I bent over her. If it was a reflex of protection or desperation, I do not know. I needed to collect my emotions. Then I kissed my wife’s forehead and whispered into her ears. Everything is going to be alright.
No… it is not. was her reply, and her words seeped out of her lips like soft, supple smoke from a dimming candle. Barely audible, barely there.
Push, Sulika, push! Someone demanded. She used whatever strength she had and pushed. This went on for just a few minutes. At one given moment she pushed with all her might. Then, I heard my wife take a long aching breath, and breathed no more.
My heart dropped to my stomach.
I looked at her, staring, hoping that what I had just seen was in my own imagination. I heard more commotion. The women were running amuck. They began to yell and scream to each other.
Everything turned into slow motion. Muffled voices, screams and cries. Yet my eyes were fixed on my wife. For a split second I looked down at the child. A girl. She was right, but the babe was lifeless as well. She flopped like a wet rag in the arms of my mother-in-law.
Just like that, it was all over. My wife and my child were gone. I had lost everything that meant anything to me in a matter of a day. I was broken. Destroyed.
I named the child Alala, meaning like a dreamfor that was all that she had been. A dream…

We buried them together, the tomb read; My FIRST and ONLY wife, Sulika and our little angel Alala. You will never be forgotten.

New Release; “Campanelli: Sentinel” by Frederick H. Crook

Hi all!
Rose here!

Today, I’m happy to bring to you the announcement of a New Release by Mr. Frederick H. Crook called “Campanelli: Sentinel” which is available TODAY on Amazon.com.

Enjoy!

All Authors Blog Blitz

Blurb:

CS.Cov

It is 2110 and migration to the colony planet, Alethea, has depleted Earth of billions of people. As a result, migration has been declared illegal by allworld governments. Human trafficking becomes highly profitable for organized crime and their influence reaches beyond the Earths atmosphere. Many starships returning from Alethea are diverted from the scrapping process and secretly refurbished, allowing the population to shrink further.

Frank Campanelli is a blind Chicago Police detective who depends on his fully functional bio-electronic implants to see and do his job. After assisting on a botched infiltration of a top human trafficking network, he and his partner, Marcus Williams, are transferred into the CPDs Organized Crime Division to head the newly formed Sentinel group and bring down the Ignatola family business.

Excerpt:

Frank took manual control of the car and set its alert status to Condition Two. The cars computer sent out its signal to traffic lights and other computerized vehicles, clearing the way for them. The blue lights flashed and the siren whooped and warbled to warn pedestrians and non-computerized vehicles of their presence.

Campanelli adjusted his lenses to zoom in just enough that he saw the leading edge of his vehicles hood and beyond. This gave him advanced warning of upcoming pavement hazards. He kept his thought commands on visual adjustments, putting them back to default when the car was in traffic and zooming forward again once the road was clear ahead. Franks full-service lenses had an advantage over the standard bio-electronic breed. His fully encompassed the surface of the eyes to give him the benefit of peripheral vision. When he magnified his view, it was not merely like looking through binoculars, it was akin to being physically thrust forward a few feet, albeit with some distortion at the edges of his field of view. With this advantage, Frank Campanelli had the reputation of being a rather insane driver, but from his point of view, he simply saw more detail than others and drove to match.

As it was Saturday morning, the traffic was light. As a result, Frank could get the car up to eighty miles an hour at times, broken up by sudden slowing and lane changing to avoid a vehicle or road hazard. This unsettled Marcus Williams to no end, forcing the veteran to increase his serotonin levels as he held on to the door handle and center console while plastering his feet into the floorboards.

The engine whined and whistled with acceleration, alternating with the crying of rubber whenever the brakes were hit hard or the steering yoke was twitched to go around something.

Marcus was just glad they were not in pursuit, otherwise Frank would be in a real hurry.

Campanelli slowed at the corner of State and Madison and hung a tight left. The powerful car accelerated like a shot, but the siren went quiet. Marcus dared to open his eyes and saw that the road ahead was deserted of pedestrians, cars and potholes.

The siren sounded again as they approached the intersection at Dearborn. Dodging around a CTA bus, Frank made the turn and accelerated again, though only briefly as they were close to their destination.

Suddenly, the siren quieted and the motor wound down to its near-silent normalcy. Marcus opened his eyes in time to see the blue lights cycle one last time before going out. The light at West Washington Street still turned green for them, indicating that Frank had set the car to Condition Four: No lights, no sirens, just an officer in kind of a hurry, as it had been explained to him once by someone he could not remember.

Fate’s Journey: Pari

Mini Excerpt from

If Death Should Love Me:

Fate’s Endeavor Book One

Parí had learned millennia ago that everything in this world and the next, was about timing. Everything had its proper time.

King Solomon said it best in Ecclesiastes 3: “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens.

How blessed did Parí feel at having been able to witness that iconic day. She smiled at the remembrance.

Yet he was right—he could not have been more accurate.

Parí knew this: it was time to appear to Junior, her second charge, and to show him who he truly was. To guide him through the venture that fate had chosen for him.

She would go to him now, in the silence of the night. T’would only be then the proper and most beneficial time to do said things.

He was, after all, a chosen one.

Disco-Ball-Hello

Hello Everyone, Parí here.

Just in case you are wondering, nope, it’s not like Paris. My name does not come from the French Capital city, but from the Hindu Culture, and it means Angel. Even the pronunciation is different. Parí in French puts an accent on the ‘í’ whereas my name has emphasis on the ‘ar’, which makes a hard sound like “P-ar-í”. Now that that’s out of the way, I figured I’d give you all a visit to tell you a little bit about myself and the roll I played in Sophia and Azriel’s lives.

So, I’m guessing that the best place to start is the beginning, or round abouts…

In the Middle Ground of the heavens exists a podium which holds on it twelve thrones. Seated upon those thrones is the Hierarchy of Angels. Six Arch’s and one of each other breed of angel–the sum of seven breeds of angels.

The seven breeds of angels are; archangels, angels, seraphim, cherubim, thrones, dominions, and virtues. Besides the six Archangels’ seated upon the thrones of the Hierarchy, there is also one of each other breed.

The Hierarchy leads us. None of them, of course, stand above the Higher Sources. You would know them as ‘God’.

I, on the other hand, am a Guardian Angel. However, understanding the order of things also helps with understanding my job. The Higher Sources are God above all, they rule, the Hierarchy enforces that rule, it is my job to follow it.

I’ve existed for a very long time. We were created in the same order in which the Hierarchy rules. This means that while I was not made first, I was among the group made next. What I am trying to say is that I do not exist since the beginning of time, but I am very old.

Many years ago, the Higher Sources charged me with the care of two very special beings. Of course, I didn’t realize how special they were at the time. As luck (or fate) would have it, they were both unique and had a destiny the likes of which I’d never seen.

Speaking of which, I suppose that maybe I should tell you a little bit about us Guardian Angels. There is this misconception that we are supposed to intervene in your lives and make things better. That’s not necessarily the case though. Mostly we are supposed to guide you and watch over you. All of the big choices are up to you all. I mean, what good would free will be if you couldn’t choose?

Alright, okay, you got me…! Sometimes I break the rules. But only because I feel like I need to. I don’t know. Maybe it’s that motherly instinct inside of me. Yes, true, I can’t actually have kids, but you have no idea how many kids I’ve raised.

Solomon…? That kiddo was a hand full. Child, if you only knew. Yeah, he was smart–super wise–mostly because of me (wink, wink), but he got himself in some doozies. Anyway… I won’t get into that right now.

Let me get back to what I was saying…

Even with everything that I’d witnessed in my lifetime, I’d never seen anything like Sophia and Junior. They were a splendor to care for and see grow. Magnificent.

The when Azriel came into Sophia’s life, oh my Lords, I didn’t know what to do. My charge having fallen in love with the grim reaper…? Craziness.

But, what could I do really? My hands were tied, so I did what I thought was best. I supported her.

Then there was the matter of Junior. What a calling! What an amazing destiny! When things had begun to become clear and I was able to see where things would lead with him, I felt a rush of pride and honor.

Sophia and Junior, charges like I’d never had before, and probably will never has again.

The Higher Sources had chosen me, out of all other, they chose me to see the grandeur of the higher purpose of these two charges.

In the Middle Ground “Mamma Parí” some call me. I couldn’t tell you why but in retrospect, I’m glad. If I can offer comfort, nurturing and help to those I love, then that makes everything that I do worthwhile. Only the Higher Sources know why they created me the way that they did. I’m sure that had it not been on purpose I wouldn’t been a whole other person. So, I’m okay with it. I couldn’t be happier, because in the end, when all is gone and lost and you’ve taken your last breath, the only thing that would have mattered at all is love.

I, am Parí.

You know guys,

I know how it is. Everyone is doing the same stuff. People are all trying to run the race to get their book noticed and read. Trust me… I know. While I’m not typically the type to run with the crowd, in this particular situation I deem it necessary.

So, I’m hosting a giveaway.

So let’s sprint, shall we?

I can sit here and be very vague about why you should enter to win a copy of my story. I can go with the norm and say, “You really want to read my book. It’s the bestest, most awesome, most cool book you’ve ever read. Please read it!” But I rather let my book do the talking for itself.

Here is a small excerpt of If Death Should Love Me, now available on Amazon.com.

It was roughly four A.M.

There she sat on the park bench, looking around at the street and then at her shopping cart as if she were trying to protect it from being stolen. She failed to notice that she was gone. Apparently fallen asleep: the cold made her drift into such a deep sleep that she would never wake up from it. Hypothermia.

Her shabby coat torn in almost every corner and her ripped hat flopped to one side and mildly fluttered in the wind. Her dirty scarf flew by the edges whenever a brisk gust blew. One foot contained a sock and slipper and the other only a shoe. Her hair was tangled and knotted and she seemed none the wiser. Dirt covered her face and hands, grit wedged in her finger nails. Alone, homeless and loveless.

“Follow me.” I instructed softly.

“Follow you? For what? Why should I follow you?” She asked, with a hint of humor in her voice. I rallied within myself if I should reveal to her that she had passed. Deciding that it was suitable to do so, I proceeded. “Ma’am, you are dead. Now please, follow me.”

“Dead!? What? Are you crazy or something?” Her semi-toothless smile turned into a frown when she snapped a glance back. She noticed her body sitting, head lowered on the bench.

She walked in front of it and waved a hand in front of her own face. She looked confused, disoriented. “But- I was just- I-I fell asleep.” Sadness filled her voice.

“Come with me and I will take you somewhere where you will never suffer again.” The thought put a smile on her face, then another frown.

She said. “My stuff.” Half comment, half question.

“Where you are going you won’t need it.” I replied, offering solace. She smiled a large toothless grin and went into the light.

As I watched her enter the light I thought of Sophia when she said, The bad leads to the good and vice versa. Like they are one in the same. All meant to teach us something. Maybe she was right.

Here are what some people are saying about If Death Should Love Me:

Can a love story come from death to the living or from the living to death? You’ll have to find out.

With a background in horror, I really felt the flow of the darkness in the story and it being a constant companion with the living. The characters were delivered well, from the backstory to the family members, and I really grew attached to Sophia and The Soul Collector. And in a love story, their is usually jealousy and conflict, with both driving this story to the ending and setting the pace for the next book in this series. I won’t give away more than that.

As a paranormal romance series, I would recommend this one.” ~A. Lopez Jr, Goodreads.

I received this as an arc, But I must say this book is WONDERFUL!!!!! I love it! I am currently reading it a 2nd time. You will not regret reading this book.” ~Brandie Dodson, Goodreads.
