When your friends decide to start some mess (and are, frankly, more observant than you gave them credit for).

I think of Jane’s writing as a less polished, early stages cross between Murakami and Vonnegut, highbrow while making fun of its own absurdity. She’s in on the joke that writing in labyrinthine patterns and references is inaccessible and isn’t above laughing at herself for it. But what do I know, I mostly read pirate novels.

If you’re a cyclist in Toronto, chances are this is your local. It’s the best coffee in the city no matter what way you look at it! And they won’t say a thing is you sneak in with a cheese danish from Absolute hidden in your bag (not that I’m speaking from experience).

the painting hung in this scene are my scratch drawn version of the ones from a show I hung with my friends Molly and Abe when we were fresh out of school. It was at a fancy REAL gallery, too, since Molly was a framer there. I sold a few, and still have a few! Molly is the person who Gwen is loosely based on.

Some day I will learn to draw cars. Considered I drew this at a cafe after having forgotten my ruler at home, I’m gonna say it could have been a lot worse (lol jk I’m very pleased).
