This is the working cover for the my graphic novel “Meat and Bone”, a story about three roomates and their relationships with their bodies, food, each other…and the mysterious neighbor girl downstairs.

This is an ensemble cast story exploring friendship, longing, eating disorders, writing, polyamory, jealousy, FEELINGS!! It’s all about the relationships.

Full colour, beautiful art, neon spot and approx. 350 pages, coming out from Conundrum Press in May 2019! I’ll keep everyone updated with more details and a few surprises along the way. Stay tuned!

The end.

What comes now?

Meat&Bone has been publishing online since TCAF (May) 2012! And it will stay online until January 1st, 2019. You have lots of time to re-read the story, or recommend it to people who might like it! After that, I will take the comic offline so that I can focus on promoting and selling the book, which will be published by Conundrum Press and will be launching at TCAF 2019. I’m going to show the final cover design soon!

The book is going to have retouched art, greater consistency, new pages, and it will be fully coloured. There will be some additional content, too! All in all, I am expecting it to be 350 pages, softcover. I’m really trying to make this book both the best it can be, while keeping it relatively affordable. I’m so, so excited to hold it in my hands!

After the offical launch of Meat & Bone the book, I’m going on tour! I literally have no details on this, but I want to visit cities across Canada. My goals are Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Kingston, Toronto, Hamilton, Vancouver and maybe Victoria. I’d also really love to visit the centre, but I don’t know anything about festivals or indie friendly comic/books shops there. I would love to talk to anyone from the prairies who knows more than me!

Right now I’m not planning to visit the USA. If possible I will try to get to Europe! I mean, that’s a really big flight. Thought Bubble sounds cool, tho.

I hope you’ll all keep sending me messages, and I would love to answer questions you have about the story now that it’s finished.

Thank you so much to everyone who’s been reading, whether you’ve been here with me from page one, or only tuned in last week. It’s been a really amazing experience, I’ve made so many friends through this comic, and grown so much as an artist.

As for what’s next? Well. I’m going to find out.

Once, the world was simple
We’ve thought about it
For the last year and a half
And the answer came up from Seattle
Storytelling is a very, very important component
There is enough space around the subject
One of my characteristics is that
I have been shuttling back and forth between
Whiteness and superb opacity
Last night I helped put on a really great
Series that tells a story
Chronicling the adventures of various fuckups
I do it for myself because it’s my passion
You wear many more hats, and I think I already have enough hats
Once incident that gets blood boiling:
Serious wine tasters
So bored that nothing gets them off
Make a habit of spitting out each sample
So they can tell the story they want
There rarely are times
We just simply aren’t prepared
We’re giving more thought to how we can deliver people
To live that life
Who can tell stories
But the times we’ve had opportunities
Offers it’s own set of challenges
Have complete autonomy
Keep every image
I wear my calamity like a badge
Secretly I smoke cigarettes
Took the low road and
Would be driven mad with jealousy
Over what the future holds
As I’m beginning to understand things are rarely predictable
But I’m in no hurry, I am content with the way things are going
I can have the luxury to wait.
