A few thoughts on forgiveness

82. Forgiveness has been so marginalized in our traditions that its central necessity is obscure or non-existent.

83. Triadic Philosophy sees forgiveness as one of the fundamental actions rising from the Ethical or Second in the root triad.

84. Forgiveness of others is an impossibility without seeking forgiveness for oneself.

85. Forgiving others is a function of freedom and a daily practice advocated by Triadic Philosophy.

86. One way of practicing forgiveness is the statement, Forgive the wrongs that we have done as we forgive those who do wrong.

Triadic Philosophy is open source teaching

Triadic Philosophy is an open source teaching for this century and beyond. Each statement can stand alone. Each can be used as a message. Each can be used without attribution.

1. Reality is all, known and unknown.
1a. God and reality are synonyms.
1a1. God is known and unknown.
1a2. God is synonymous with Abba.
1a3. Abba is Jesus' word for father, friend, companion.
1a4. Abba is accessible to us by our choice.
1a5. We can talk to Abba.
1a6. We can ask and receive anywhere.
1a7. Abba is not just a singing group.
1a8. "I have a dream" is not just a song."
1a9. Abba can talk to us.
1a10. Teachings attributed to Jesus represent Abba's will.
1a11. The teachings of Jesus are consistent with the values of those who advance truth and beauty.

My First Week Here

It has been interesting and typical of my overall Web experience to be here and immerse myself as best I can on this important site.

Epinions, Themestream, Associated Content, Wordpress, Blogger, Twitter. These are just a few of the writing sites I have immersed myself on from the start. Themestream is gone though it was a wonderful concept. Epinions has made commerce its main thrust. Associated Content was a major commitment that went south when Yahoo decided they did not like eccentric forms of content and original graphics they could not relate to. (Interestingly, Yahoo is now buying Tumblr!) I still have blogs at Wordpress and Blogger and between them they contain thousands of posts I've written over time.

I see the Web as utterly new. The actual growth of the Web is nothing compared to the ultimate reach and impact the entire reality of cyberspace will eventually have. This is the Web's century, just as the last century was world wars, cars and oil.

In my first week I have acquired a lot of friends, found a philosophy forum and been impressed by the ease with which it all seems to work. Just now I began to go through book recommendations and to start buying a few books. I am a Kindle addict and take mine with me (I have a simple early Kindle and a Fire my brother gave me) as I wander my neighborhood which includes many places to hang out and read.

All told, I am a happy camper here and my hope is to make a contribution over time.

Winning the War Within

Winning The War Within Winning The War Within by Stephen C. Rose

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I spend my time on isolation row
Far far offline without much recompense
It is less harmful than some games I know
And there are times it seems to make good sense

Ah speak to me of age and I reply
Mine varies with the passing of the years
That bodies age none safely will deny
But even so a counterpoint appears

Our Father Abba friend a unity
You call us to this confident address
No airs no display no formality
No creeds no catechisms to confess

These sonnets follow Shakespeare in meter and rhyme scheme. Yet their contemporary themes and lack of punctuation signal something deep and new. You meet not only the author but yourself. The sonnets range from a description of profound loneliness in cyberspace to a remarkable testament to post-postmodern faith and reason. Winning The War Within is a profound, accessible meditation on what we can and cannot know. And on winning the continuing battle within.

From an evaluation by a friend and former classmate who was at the time a Professor at Stanford specializing in poetry.

"I very much like that title, especially nowadays and alas for some time to come. Its alliteration is strong but subtle, and significant in what it links together.

"The sonnets especially speak for an older readership -- which does exist and isn't often written for. Also, I don't think the target market includes just Christians but people (like myself) concerned about the place of religion in our lives today.

"What is the power of the sonnets? Their candor, range, telling themes and concerns, frequent surprise and detail and the achievement of the form.

"Does what you've read leave you with a desire to read more of this poet's work? Possibly, yes, in other forms maybe.

"Does the format of these sonnets feel appropriate to their tone? Very much so, in the spirit of Edna St Vincent Millay -- mutatis mutandis, of course.

"Spelling and punctuation: Not a problem. Almost always this punctuation-lack works well.

"I can see this getting out there nicely, to the common reader. Possibly it wouldn't make the NYT Book Review, but what poetry ever does?"

The Ongoing Evolution of Cybersociety

The century is young and so is the Internet. Twitter is a toddler. So is Facebook. What is unmistakable is what I have been suggesting in more than 1000 statements and aphorisms in Triadic Philosophy.

Now I find a kindred voice, one among many. Words are the magical utility within reality that enables thought to take root.

Here is a kindred voice expressing thoughts I have been trying to share for years.

Occupy Evolver: Realize Your Potential | David DeGraw http://buff.ly/17W4Y6p

More and more we will see liberty and freedom is what will propel the revolution of this century. It will be a revolution toward tolerance, democracy, helpfulness and, above all, non-idolatry.

A Communication from David DeGraw

This is a welcome indication of serious movement.

I quote liberally and hope seriously.

BEGIN QUOTE

Friends & Allies

It’s been a year and a half since many of the Occupy camps were broken up, and it’s been almost that long since I last helped organize anything or published content on a consistent basis. So what have I been doing all this time? Other than being a father of two young boys and moving to Los Angeles, I’ve been intensely strategizing behind the scenes with some of the most inspiring, brilliant and influential people on the planet.

As grandiose as this may sound, we now have an extensive five-year plan that people are referring to as the “Manhattan Project for the Evolution of Society.” We are very excited to announce that initial aspects of The Plan will be rolled out through several phases over the course of the next three months.

Through Anonymous, Occupy and the 99% Movement, we collectively proved that decentralized self-organizing networks of like-minded people rallying together can set the world on fire. However, we lacked an exit strategy and the resources required to build a self-sustaining movement that can truly achieve the change and evolution of society that we all know we need.

We believe we now have that exit strategy. With funding and resources finally coming in, we are on the verge of having a truly self-sufficient and thriving infrastructure that can maximize all the energy around us...

The road ahead will be intense. Another tour of duty in this nonviolent decentralized war awaits. Obviously, one never knows how these things will turn out, but the initial battle plan is set. The wind, for once, is at our back. The future is ours to win!

Over the next month, while we prepare to launch our first campaign, I will be posting frequently to my personal website and experimenting with some initial concepts. While it will be incredibly hard work, we plan on having a lot of fun in the process. It’s going to be a wild summer!...

My no-frills daily self-publisher book-selling mo.

My no-frills daily self-publisher book-selling mo. Show where the books are. Present them as best I can. Pray folk buy and review them.

SHOW - Kindle is where I show all my books. I can work on showing every day. That is time well-spent.

PRESENT - Kindle gives me maximum capacity to change covers, republish and otherwise ensure effective presentation. If I do not succeed it is my problem. Presentation is time well spent.

PRAY - Prayer works mainly for the person who is doing it. When I hear folk saying they are praying for someone, I hope that other is praying for herself. Why? Because the relationship we have with the One we pray to is internal to the individual. Abba knows when we truly care about someone else. Abba also knows that praying is the way we become who we are supposed to be. It is how we forgive everyone daily. And are forgiven daily. It is everything in our lives. I explain such matters in my books. Internal prayer is the best expenditure of time there is.

One final thing. I do not mind negative reviews. Tell me why the book did not satisfy. That criticism is gold. The capacity to revise is gold. We live by trial and error.

There you have it. A method I believe will work in this phase of my life as a writer.

We should control search not the other way around

Signup pages masquerade as content
Text will stop if you do not subscribe
Content is obscured or nonexistent
Sometimes most top search results are chaff

Search should favor content that's all there
Modest, stationary text tasteful display
We users should choose what we want to see
We should control search not the other way around

It's the binary-feeders at work.

Remember the power of angry masses in old movies.
Witness the use of real angry masses in
what passes for news.
It's the binary-feeders at work.

Triadic Philosophy paves the way for an end to this
deleterious celebration of conflict leading to violence.
The sign of this sea change was
orderly lines at polls in the United States
exercising the right to vote in the 2012.
Peaceful. Effective. Beautiful. True.

The sooner we move from the binary either-or trap
of assuming you "beat the man"
by loud, screaming numbers,
to a chorus of delighted idiot commentary,
the sooner a new exodus,
a new power to the people,
built on three universal elements of change.
1. Unjust reality.
2. Remedial values (Democracy)
3. Experimental actions,
grounded in Aesthetics,
in truth and beauty.

Those voting lines were beautiful.
They changed politics.
The clothing of the Emperor frayed.
The beautiful truth is this:
Democracy is universal.
It's how we live together nonviolently.

The future lies in lines like these.
