We should control search not the other way around

Signup pages masquerade as content
Text will stop if you do not subscribe
Content is obscured or nonexistent
Sometimes most top search results are chaff

Search should favor content that's all there
Modest, stationary text tasteful display
We users should choose what we want to see
We should control search not the other way around

Mark Larkento In our profit driven society, where the promise of "free stuff" is so successful, it's difficult to see a way to accomplish this goal.

Stephen Rose I have nothing against free stuff, Mark. What I don't like is searching for something and running up against pages that have little or no content or otherwise have firewalls preventing you from getting to what you are looking for. Everybody has the right to a fair chance at earning a living and I think ultimately most livings will be somehow earned online. We are experiencing growing pains. :)
