Starting 23-July-2014, Demons of Astlan: Into the Abyss will be on sale in the Amazon.co.uk store!
The price will start at 0.99 GBP and count back up to its normal price over the next 7 days.
DoA: ItA is the perfect summer reading when you visit Langland Bay! (What a great name for a bay!)
Or any other summer getaway spot! Or even curled up in your own bed on a Staycation!

Kindle Countdown to Vacation!

During the summer, the Abyss gets even hotter than usual. We demons therefore, like everyone else, like to go on vacation.
Unfortunately, to leave the Abyss we need to be summoned!
So, if you know someone: friend, family, colleague who is going on vacation, or just wants a great break, ask them to summon some demons to take with them!
In order to make this easy, next week the Kindle version of Volume I of Demons of Astlan: Into the Abyss will be on sale at Amazon.com.
Yes, we will be doing our first Kindle Countdown Sale on the book!
So if you know someone who might enjoy the e-book spread the word!
The sale will last the week and will start on Monday June 30th 2014 at it's lowest price ever (unless you bought the Dead Tree Edition) it will then increase by $1 every so many hours. There will be a clock telling you how long you have until the price goes up. (It does not come back down...only goes up).
So grab it when you see it! Or rather have your friends grab it since you've probably already seen it.
The sale is only at the US based Amazon.com (currently countdown deals only happen in the US and UK stores). However, anyone can buy from the Amazon.com store, even if they have a local Amazon. store, you just have to force your browser to the .COM site.
Usernames and passwords work across Amazons (or do between US/UK).
Also there will be a sale in the UK store corresponding to summer school break in the UK later in the month. (however there are fewer break points given the relative price/VAT etc.)

In the Kindle Lending Library
Into the Abyss went Kindle Select today and will be there for 90 days...so if you are a Kindle owner and have prime, now is a great time to check the book out and read it!

Kindle Select
Into the Abyss will be going to Kindle Select for the next 90 days, basically through mid-August.
This means it's being deactivated for those 90 days on other ebook sites. This will take a good 24 hours, is my guess.
If you've bought there, it won't affect anything, it just won't be listed in the catalog.
If you have a strong preference for one of the other native formats, then now is a great time to get the book in Apple, Play or Nook formats. And you should still be able to check it out from Scribd for a day or two.
Basically 99.35% of sales have been on Amazon, so it has been pretty much exclusively there...and by going KDP Select I can do a Countdown Sale (after 30 days) and also get some more promotion out of Amazon.
The trade paperback will continue to be available on my site, Amazon and BN.com (unless they unlist it with the book).

Price Reduced @Amazon

OK, so Amazon has price matched the Kindle version Into the Abyss.
Price has dropped from $6.99->$5.38
They've matched the Google Play price (which was set by Google--I provide the same list price everywhere and wait for bookstores to slash the pricesand my royalty :) on their own)
So...if you have friends you'd like to recommend the book to or have been thinking to pick it up, now is the time!
Depending on how the iTunes sales for April come out, I only get a monthly report...I may go Kindle Select so I get better promotions and can do Countdown Sales and the Kindle lending library.
No idea what will happen if Amazon doesn't need to price match.

But that's not that big a deal since to say sales on the other e-books stores have been anemic--
