Audio Book V.2
Hi,
Audio Book V.2 has been released.
Based on the last one, I should expect Whispersync and discounted pricing for owners of the Kindle version should come next week.
V.3 will start recording in the next week or two. I would expect it to be available late summer.

Into the Abyss Audio Edition Now Available
Hi,
Into the Abyss is now available from Audible/Amazon and the iTunes store (audio book only).
Running time is 25 hours. List prices is about $33 depending on platform. Audible subscribers can listen for free or with credits.
Owners of the e-book, in theory, can add Whispersync for a much reduced cost. However, since Amazon "thinks" I bought the paperback and have the e-book as a matchbook, that apparently doesn't count.
(Why did I buy my own book, rather than buy author's copies? Shipping and speed of delivery for gifts to family/friend (in Europe, it's actually cheaper to buy and ship from Europe to Europe than an author copy plus shipping) (and in US, it's just a lot faster so I've done both)
Anyway, if someone that does own the e-book would let me know if they see the lower add-on cost, that would be nice of you.

Pre-Orders Continued

As mentioned previously, the audiobook version of Into the Abyss is now available to preorder on Amazon and most of the Audible apps/sites (if not then shortly) It will be released on 5/9/17
The Heavenly Host is scheduled for 6/9/17 and should be showing up before too long.
They are in audible format (rumors of iTunes and others are also out there, but not sure until I see them) and so Whispersync etc should be available.
If sales of V.1 and V.2 are good, they'll sign up to do V.3 and later
It's an audible book, so credits apply. I would assume that for owners of the kindle e-book, a WhisperSync version will be available for cheap. However, won't know that until it goes live, but I've seen Tantor books from other authors who's kindle e-book I own offered more cheaply.
For your listening pleasure, v.1 clocks in at 24 hours and 38 minutes.
All that being said, haven't heard it myself yet so excited to do so!

Audio Book V.1
Hi,
So it looks like my last post was a bit premature.
The word I had received was from the cover editor, who re-layed out the cover for the new format.
Obviously, that was an unofficial date they were targeting and did not pan out.
Nargh.
The audio book is being done traditionally, e.g. Tantor bought the rights and has all the tasks to publish it in audio format. So, I'm just a spectator like everyone else.
I could only imagine how this must be 100x worse for authors traditionally publishing a hardback/paperback.
Being self-published, I have complete control, and complete responsibility for any screw ups. Which I am sure has ups and downs.
But I'm thinking (except for really big authors) the self-published model would be more emotionally satisfying for a set of people acusstomed to being "gods of their own universe" who are used to "dictating reality"
I.e. Control Freaks.

Tantor Media will be releasing the Audio version of Into the Abyss, narrated by Stephen Bel Davies on April 25th, 2017.
I would expect on that date, or shortly thereafter it will be available on Audible and other audio book stores.
It may take a bit of time for it to link up with the kindle version. No idea how that works when a third party is producing the audio version.
Volume II should be available about a month or so later.
Volume III? Well that depends on the sales of Volumes I and II in audio format. :)

Hi,
So I've been in touch with Stephen Bel Davies who is doing the voice work for Into The Abyss.
It is currently in editing at Trantor and Stephen will begin recording The Heavenly Host sometime next week. We are going to do a call this weekend to go over book 2, new characters, and places, how to pronounce them etc.
Volume 3 and later are awaiting sales results from Volumes 1 and 2.
While I don't have a timeline, I am hoping that the first two volumes will be available in Audio format by summer (Northern Hemisphere).
