4th Night of Passover!

Mood: Can't believe the holiday's already here. We had our own seder the first night, and it was with just Dad and I. I cooked almost everything and was the 'leader' of it, too. Seder lit. means 'order'. It's really a ritual dinner that goes in a specific order. You go over the symbols of the holiday, read the story, sing, eat, drink, and more. (There are 4 cups of wine. National Pet Day!

Mood: This holiday was on Monday, but I think we should celebrate them every day. Yay for pets!They're amazing! We have 2 cats, Rosie and Tasha. Rosie is a tortoiseshell tabby with an attitude, and Tasha (short for Natasha) is a Turkish Van who seems to have some dog-like tendencies. Tasha also has very soft rabbit-like fur, and large paws.It'd be awesome if someday they ended up buddies.

National Caramel Popcorn Day!

Mood: One of my fave types of popcorn!Kettle Corn is another awesome type of popcorn. Its got a sugar and salt coating. Too bad I can't really have either of them anymore...They affect my guts. National Black Forest Cake Day!

Mood: This holiday was yesterday. One of my fave cakes!I even had a black forest cake for my birthday back in November. Mood: This holiday was on Sunday. I love ravioli!To have a day devoted to it is awesome! I usually have the beef filled ones. National Meatball Day!

Mood: This holiday was actually on Wednesday. They're like little balls of awesome!Although, some can be large. I've made some beef, lamb, chicken, and (I think) turkey ones before. The lamb meatballs were interesting. I think it was a Greek recipe. There was mint and cinnamon mixed in them. The chicken ones were for a Japanese corn soup recipe. Mood: Yay! One of my fave pies!This holiday was actually yesterday. I was at a place last night that has free pie night every Wednesday. Mood: From the first live-action Rurouni Kenshin movie. It literally means Flying Heaven, or some translate it as Celestial. It's short for Hiten Mitsurugi-ryuu, or Flying Heaven (or Celestial) Beautiful Sword-Style. This is the sword-style Kenshin uses. It's actually a real style, but few have actually seen it. Mood: This holiday was yesterday. Almonds are an interesting nut. Not really one of my faves, but pretty good. It's very healthy and versatile.
