Parents' Day!

Mood: This holiday was actually yesterday. Cool that there's an actual Parents' Day rather than just Mother's or Father's Day. National Pecan Pie Day!

Mood: One of my fave pies!I think it's a difficult one to get just right. Some are too sweet, some barely have any pecans, and some have way too many (making it extremely dry). Mood: Independence Day is actually celebrated on the 3rd in my town. Kind of odd, but nice. There's a fireworks display tonight downtown on the waterfront. It's usually huge and really crowded. Downtown is normally crowded this time of year anyways. We get quite a lot of tourists, mainly because it's a Norwegian-themed town. World Music Day!

Mood: Yay for music!I can't imagine a world without music. Even when I'm not playing my clarinet, it's still a big part of my life. Mood: I usually have chocolate covered candied orange peels during Passover. Surprisingly good stuff. I'm not sure if I've had it without the chocolate...I've scraped the chocolate off and tried it that way before. I don't think that's exactly the same, though.It still tastes unique.
