2nd of Sivan
Woke up at around the time I wanted to. Yay! Hadn't for the last couple of days because of the heat. It's a lot cooler today, which has been nice. I've been thinking about that lunch we had on Sunday with someone Dad knew and her daughter. I might be thinking more about it because of the meeting tonight. I think the daughter might have been a truscum. (Side note: I'm not calling them 'scum'.

1st of Sivan
It's the beginning of the month of Sivan on the Jewish calendar. It's also Rosh Chodesh Sivan. On the first of every month, there's a holiday, too. It's moon based and considered a women's holiday. This also means Shavuot is coming up. We celebrate and study the Torah all night and day of it. Also have lots of dairy, like cheesecake. Had a hard time sleeping last night, too. Ended up getting up

National Apple Pie Day!
This holiday was yesterday. One of the best pies! Especially Dutch apple pie. Although, I like cherry pie more. It was also International Hummus Day. I used to be scared of it, but as soon as I tried it, I loved it. (Similar to how I was with Nutella.) I don't like the new thing where they call something hummus but it doesn't have chickpeas. (Tastemade and others on fb are sharing trending

26th of Iyar
Today was slightly warmer than yesterday. Around the mid-60s. A lot sunnier, too. This weekend looks like it'll be sunny and a nice temp. Low to mid-70s. Not bad. I skipped my after dinner walk yesterday. Mainly because I was too focused on something, and had dinner late because of it. It was rainy off and on, too. With the way I'm feeling, I don't think I'll do it tonight, either. My gut pain

25th of Iyar
It has been a lot cooler today. In the mid-50s. It's raining, too. The rest of the forecast this week looks really warm. Hopefully, it won't get too warm. Yesterday, I got to my after dinner walk finally! Yay! Not only that, but I did the whole thing, instead of stopping halfway like last time. Did it in the half hour I planned. Pretty much exactly. According to My Fitness Pal, I was going at a

24th of Iyar
It was another slightly warmer day than expected. It's close to 70 degrees right now. Perfect temp. Seems like it'll be cool enough for a walk after dinner. I, again, didn't get to my after dinner walk yesterday. It was too warm out. Plus, we went out late to get dessert. Dad got a few Xfinity internet pods. They help with spreading the connection to other parts of the house. Supposedly, my

National Empanada Day!
It's been a while since I've had an empanada. I love the beef ones and peach ones. I think I saw empanadas as a dessert on Azteca's menu last time I was there. So, at least I know one place has them locally. It's warmer today than what was in the forecast. It got up to 80 degrees. I think it was about the same yesterday. We're not normally that warm this time of year. I was going to go for a

22nd of Iyar
On May 3rd, or 18th of Iyar, it was Lag B'Omer. People usually have bonfires, do archery, and get haircuts. A fun one. I guess we celebrated Cinco de Mayo a day before. Went to Azteca, and got their burrito blanco. It had grilled chicken, white rice, beans, peas, carrots, and jalapeno cream cheese on the inside. There was a flour tortilla with cheddar, cojita, and a cream sauce on the outside. It

National Pretzel Day!
This holiday was yesterday. I love pretzels! I prefer the big soft ones, but the flavored smaller/hard ones are good, too. My mom's yahrzeit was on the 9th of Iyar on the Jewish calendar. It's the 12th, now. (It's a lunar calendar, so days start at sunset.) A yahrzeit is an anniversary of a death. This was her 6th one. I can't believe it has been 6 years! (The Jewish calendar year was 5772.) On

Garlic Day!
I love garlic! One day to celebrate it is not enough! It's also Bicycle Day. I haven't ridden a bike in a long time. My current bike, one that I got when I was around 11, is deteriorating. It has sat in the garage for a while and bugs have chewed on the handle bars, seat, and tires. I tried to have it repaired a few years ago, but it didn't do much. As soon as I started to ride it, it deflated
