If You’re a Leader, You May Have Acid Reflux

Acid_Refulx_NBCNews_Edward_Lewellen

Let’s face it, stress is a common denominator of anyone who leads others. Close on the heels of stress is insomnia, a less-than-optimal diet, and a host of other stress-related problems…including ACID REFLUX! Why do I bring up acid reflux? (pun intended) On the last two NBC Evening News reports, over-the-counter acid reflux medicines were reportedly linked to chronic kidney disease and dementia.

“January 15th, 2016, NBC News

Prilosec, other PPIs, linked to increased risk for chronic kidney disease

A new study links the use of heartburn and acid reflux medicines like Prilosec, Nexium and Prevacid, to an increased risk for chronic kidney disease. Researchers at Johns Hopkins University reviewed the health records of people who use the drugs, which are known as “proton pump inhibitors,” or PPIs. They found a kidney disease risk that was 20-50% higher compared to that of non-users.”

German researchers found that people 75 or older who regularly take proton pump inhibitors had a 44 percent increased risk of dementia, compared with seniors not using the drugs.

Acid_Reflux_Nexium_Prylosec_Prevacid_Edward_Lewellen

So, what can be done? There are many so-called natural alternatives to help sooth the pain and other symptoms of acid reflux. But, what would you rather do, placate the symptoms or remove the cause? Since chronic and acute stress has been shown to be the major factors in acid reflux, doesn’t it make sense to remove the stress? By “remove the stress”, I’m not talking about changing your lifestyle and become a monk living in the mountains. Although, some people would choose that. I’m talking about changing the way you allow your mind and body to respond to stress. Stress is a choice. The problem is that our parents, teachers, mentors, and others who influence us from youth on never teach us how to choose what to do with stress. Why? Because the vast majority of them are unaware of how to do it themselves.

You’ll note in my LinkedIn profile headline, the first thing I list is “Mental Malware Removal”. Most of us have been programmed to choose to take in, take on, and hold stress within our bodies and our minds. Simple things like the cartoon “Peanuts” have programmed us that it is right and acceptable to become emotional about the smallest things. Our parents, by default, taught us to become emotional when things don’t go how we want them. The mental and unconscious programming you received is deeply embedded to be negative and to give your power to external forces by uttering such words as, “You made me angry!”

This can all be changed so that you can live a life with a tremendously more stress-free life. How would it feel to know that all the triggers that used to make you feel stressed, upset, angry, etc. would now create a sense of either peace or dissociation from the situations so that you dealt with them easily and without causing those painful sensations to bubble and rise up? What if there wasn’t even a need for anything external put into your body to make you feel good? What if you could build your mental “muscle” to go from being the “92-pound weakling” to a “bodybuilder” status?

This is what I do for people every day.

The Goose Before the Golden Eggs

Goose

There was once a poor farmer that one day discovered in the nest of his pet goose a glittering golden egg. At first he thought it was a trick, but as he started to throw it away, he had second thoughts and took it to get it appraised.

The egg was pure gold! The farmer couldn’t believe his good fortune. He becomes even more incredulous the following day when he finds the experience is repeated. Day after day, he awakens to rush to the nest to find another golden egg. He becomes fabulously wealthy; it all seems too good to be true.

But with his increasing wealth comes greed and impatience. Unable to wait day after day for the golden eggs, the farmer decides to kill the goose and get them all at once. But when he opens the goose, he finds it empty. There are no golden eggs – and now there is no way to get them anymore. The farmer has destroyed the goose that produced them.

What is the moral? True effectiveness is composed of two things: What is produced (the golden eggs) and the producing asset or capacity to produce (the goose).

If you adopt a pattern of life that focuses on golden eggs and neglects the goose, you will soon be without the asset that produces the golden eggs. On the other hand, if you only take care of the goose with no aim toward the golden eggs, you will soon be without the means to feed the goose or yourself.

I.E., always treat your employees like you want them to treat your best customers. You can buy a person’s hand, but you can’t buy his heart. His heart is where his enthusiasm and loyalty are. You can buy his back, but you can’t buy his brain. That’s where his creativity is, his ingenuity, his resourcefulness.

To get the production, treat employees as volunteers, for that is what they are. They volunteer their best parts, their hearts and their minds.

This is a quotation from the Stephen Covey book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. What you read is the basic premise of the People Before Profit Group. It’s not just about making a profit. For any business to be sustainable, it must take great care of its people. It’s not just about the people. To be sustainable, a company has to be profitable. The problem lies when there is imbalance. If you want to get the real feel for what the movement is all about, then you’ll want to attend the inaugural People Before Profit global conference in Las Vegas on May 12th-15th, 2016. You’ll be happy you became part of this global transformation that’s already started!

What You See Isn’t What You Saw

Eye_Edward_Lewellen

People say things like;

“If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes I wouldn’t have believed it!”

“Seeing is believing.”

“I’ll have to see it to believe it.”

But, is our sense of sight as accurate as we think it is? According to what neuroscience has discovered about the eye, the transfer of information from the eye to the Occipital Lobe, and the further sharing with the rest of the brain, the answer is “No.”

According to Nobel Laureate Dr. Eric Kandel, the eyes take incomplete information from the external world and is not faithful in transferring the external reality to our brain. Based on our belief system, it will take in what it feels is important and negate what it feels isn’t important while it emphasizes certain parts of the images coming in and discards others. The brain is what creates three-dimensional objects in faces, scenery, etc. and what is absolutely amazing is that all of this is a reconstruction within the brain. Beyond that, the retinas of our eyes have about 100 million photo receptive cells which line the back. Before the information is sent down the Optic Nerve the information is compressed by 100 to only about 1 million bits. Again, a process through the unconscious mind decides of this 1 million bits of information what is important, what isn’t, and throws away the “incidental” information. This is at least the second cycle of this process and there may be more. By the way, the picking and choosing of information coming in through our senses applies to all of our senses.

So, how do we get what is interpreted as a “complete picture”? The unconscious mind “fills in the blanks”, adds color and depth, and our brain is what creates our reality. For instance, separate parts of the brain store pieces of our reality. If I say that I’m thinking of an animal, the brain goes looking for the area where you’ve stored pictures of animals. I then say, it’s gray and large, and the brain goes looking for where large gray animals is kept. I then say the gray animal has a tail and, finally that it has a long trunk…and you’ll construct an picture of an elephant. This is all done in nanoseconds. The point is, we construct information and fill-in-the-blanks through associations. (Just in case someone says there are no single places where information on elephants is kept in our brain, they would be correct. The brain has a huge amount of redundancy!)

This is interesting, and how does this apply to your business and life? You may experience things with yourself and others that can be frustrating because you didn’t understand how someone could miss things that were so obvious to you. Have you ever had an accident while driving because you didn’t see another vehicle or some other object? How could that car have been coming? You looked three times and you didn’t see it. Now you know that your brain cancelled out the car because it was unconsciously decided to be “incidental’ information to your brain for that moment in time. Leaders in organizations sometime become exasperated at their people because they missed things that were “obvious”. I would love to hear your comments below about experiences you’ve had that you saw, heard, felt, tasted, or smelt, something that was there, or not there, one moment and not there, or there, the next.

If you’ve read my posts before, then you know I don’t look for ways to make reasons and excuses. That’s not the purpose of this post. The purpose is to make people aware of how the mind creates our reality and to account for the filtering processes it goes through before they make snap and harsh judgments. Who knows, even you may not have seen what you thought you saw!

By the way, there are some very interesting uses for this phenomena which can be facilitated and I’d be glad to share those with you!

Unbreak Your Dream Machine

Dream_Edward_Lewellen

Dreams…we daydream, night dream, we go to dreamland and dreamworld; we can be dreamlike, dreamless, and we can be outdreamt. People can be dreamy, dreamboats, the dreamiest, and even undreamed. What we know for sure is that people dream and when this subject is written about many times it’s concerning dreaming about what we want; the big house(s), the boat or yacht, the vacation home(s), the successful business(es), etc. This post is about something much more personal; dreaming about who you really want to be. I recently wrote that, “Who we are is exchanged for what we want to possess.” (The Death of Your True Values) So many times we sell-out who we are for the things we are told we should have by the society in which we live. What if you were to dream about who you desire to be without the external influences of material possessions, societal expectations, and any other external influences. From my experience of working with thousands of people, I have found very few people 1) know their Core Identity, 2) if they know it, they are living true to it, and 3) dream of being something other than the roles they play in life. It’s like the Dr. Seuss book, And to Think it Happened on Mulberry Street. The main character, Marco, fantasizes of this wonderful circus following him on his way home from school, which is all made up of the normal, everyday people and animals along the way. With this amazing circus in-tow, Marco rushes up the front steps of his home, eager to tell his father his imagined story. However, when his father questions him about what he saw on his way home, his face turns red and he says, “Nothing … but a plain horse and wagon on Mulberry Street.” Marco’s Dream Machine had been broken. Has yours? Let’s put it to the test. If you could choose any and all of the values, traits, and characteristics you would like to be, what would you be like? If your dream leads you to only involve the roles you play, such as an executive, an employee, a spouse, a daughter/son, a mother/father, etc., then I encourage you to journey further inward. But,…

The Assessments Told Me Who I Am

Identity_Role_Edward_Lewellen

I’ve worked within the Employee Behavioral Assessment Industry for close to 20 years, from selling and implementing them all the way through helping build them from start-to-finish. I have been told by the psychologists and psychometrists that our cognitive abilities, interests, and behaviors become pretty much set-in-stone around age 16. I used to believe that. First, neuroscience has proven that we have the ability to grow new brain cells well into our 80’s and to continue learning all the while. It’s called Neuroplasticity. Second, my experience of working with people has shown me the truth that we are who we are because of our experiences in life, which is only what these assessments are measuring. You may be thinking, “And…?” What I mean by that is we have adapted and changed ourselves to become what our experiences in life unjustly teach us to be, just like we have adapted and changed ourselves because of societal expectations and to acquire the material possessions we want. Therefore, I believe assessments tell us who we have become, not who we really are. Think about that. If assessments told us who we really are and they actually predicted we are a good fit to marry a certain person, a good fit for a certain job, a good fit for all the things they supposedly can tell that we are good fit for, wouldn’t marriages be much more happy? Wouldn’t many more people be much happier in their jobs, and all the other places assessments tell us we are a good fit? I’m not saying that assessments have no value. I’m saying their value is very limited because the information being put in is flawed because the people entering the information believe they are their roles. They believe they have become what they do.

Unbreak Your Dream Machine by Discovering Who You Really Are

What if you could live life to the full because you became unshackled from all the “stuff” that’s holding you back; the hurts, habits, hang-ups, the limiting beliefs that you’ve collected through the years? Let your Dream Machine loose for a few minutes and sense how that feels. If you could wash away all of the negative events and beliefs from your mind, just imagine the person you would be. Feel how much more powerful you feel just imagining it! I wonder if you can feel how much more freedom you feel! Feel the energy begin to release from inside you as you become lighter, your head rising up, your shoulders going back, your back straightening, and your chest pushing forward!

Have you ever had a dream and that dream became real? It gives you that eerie feeling that somehow you knew…that something was going to be different. You can have that feeling now. It is possible to become who you really are instead of what you have become. And, that’s a wonderful reason to unbreak your Dream Machine!

The Death of Your True Values

Death_Edward_Lewellen_2

The thought of death does something interesting to most people. It gels their thoughts in such a way as to help them decide what is most valuable to them. You’ve no doubt watched movies, read stories, and heard of people who made drastic changes in their lives when they found out that death was imminent. From a distance, I experienced the death of a billionaire who had throughout his life squashed people under his feet and ruined lives of families to achieve his success. On his deathbed, all that meant nothing. All he longed for was his family and what was left of any friends he had. There is a long quote going around about what Steve Jobs said on his deathbed. From what I could discern, the quote isn’t legitimate. However, during his commencement speech at Stanford University in 2005, he said “Death is very likely the single best invention of life“. He then went on to encourage people to use the knowledge of our impending deaths to spur ourselves to greater heights, and to do what we really want to do in life:

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

How much different that statement is compared to the 90’s saying, “He who dies with the most toys wins!”

What does this subject of “death” and “values” mean to you and why is it even important? My dear friend, Ali Anani, has been writing posts which cause people to stop and ponder the world we live in and what has caused it to become the way it is. (What Unites Us All? and Positive Negativity) When we are young, we feel invincible and as if the fleshly body we possess will last forever. We do risky things that older people call “foolish”, “stupid”, and “frivolous”. Our friends and family are everything to us and there is nothing better than to hang out with our best friends. As we mature, we usually find ourselves taking fewer risks. We find ourselves spending time more and more with those that can “do something” for us. We begin to build our own world of “security” with increasing responsibilities in our career, making a name for ourselves, substantially increasing our financial reserves and assets, etc. Who we are is exchanged for what we want to possess. The loving, fun, energetic, happy and empathetic young person has become isolated, somber, tired, uncaring, and, in some cases, happiness only comes temporarily from external sources.

But, then something causes death to enter the picture. A disease, an accident, or just plain old getting on in years. The closer death comes, the more you think about your life and was it what you really desired it to be. At this point, some people begin creating their “Bucket List”.

So, I stop and wonder, “If we all lived as if our death was imminent, and by that I mean the values that the thought of death brings to the top, would we be more caring? Would we find more ways to be truly happy? Would we be more forgiving? And, most important from my observations of people, would we be true to who we really are and not to the person we have become because of the material things we want to possess? I believe we would live in a world much more united and much more caring, which would create a world of much more abundance of profit.

I believe that the group People Before Profit, will inspire the world of business to change and help the people within organizations to be who they really are with the focus that this will rid the organizations of the “Identity Crisis” they have been in while using the now-antiquated leadership, sales, and business models. Remember the creativity and innovation you experienced as a young person? What if that could be unleashed within all the people in your company? Remember the culture and camaraderie you had as a young person before you had to change? What if that type of Employee Engagement was allowed to grow and build in your company? My dear friend, Brad Fegusson, is leading the charge to make this and so much more a reality. Would you like to be a part and contribute to such a group? Please consider attending the launch of the global organization, People Before Profit, May 12-15, 2016: https://goo.gl/pQnDbm!

Darwin, Genes, and Your Business

Genetics_Darwin_Edward_Lewellen

Whether you believe in evolution, creation, or some other derivative of how mankind came into existence, the teachings of Charles Darwin have had a profound effect upon you and your business. How? Here are just two ways:

1) “Survival of the Fittest” – This phrase is attributed to Darwin but was actually stated by Herbert Spencer. Because this theory was thrust upon the Scientific Community and readily accepted by it, it then became accepted by much of humanity, even those not believing in evolution. This was a validation to many of the “strong” ruling over the “weak” as being “natural” and some even attributing this mechanism to God as a way of “cleansing” out weakness.

2) Our genes are hardwired and we are victims to their “programming.” Darwin conjectured that as the “accidents” of evolution happened, the changes were passed along to future generation through “heredity”, though he didn’t fully understand how. As science advanced and genes were discovered, other scientists came along and stated that our genes became hardwired to preserve hereditary traits into new generations and that there was no escaping genetics influence, that we are helpless victims of our genes. Therefore, as some express even to this day, there is no use in fighting genetics because it’s just what we have inherited.

What do these two points have to do with your business? Before I share those revelations with you, consider this; at the same time Darwin was creating his theory and writing his books to promote it, there were other schools of thought on evolution that taught evolution as a collaborative process. These were dismissed and buried under the attention drawn by Darwin. Interestingly, the newest science on genetics proves Darwin and his successors wrong in some areas and the others correct. Of course, this would make sense due to the increase in the tools and processes available to all branches of science. From the research I’ve done, the new area of science and genetics to emerge is called Epigenetics. Epigenetics is the study of the way in which the expression of heritable traits is modified by environmental influences or other mechanisms without a change to the DNA sequence. The discoveries of those in Epigenetics is nothing less than astonishing! For instance, one of the foremost authorities in Epigenetics, Cellular Biologist Bruce Lipton, gave this definition of “Genes”: “They are the physical memories of an organism’s learned experiences.” This is completely different of explanation than describing them as deterministic rulers of our lives. This also means that, just like our brain is made up of neuropathways where associated memories create our “reality” and can be changed, that our genes can be influenced and changed, as well.

You may recall the Human Genome Project which was launched in 1990 and completed in 2003. The mission was to map out all human genes and their interactions, which would than serve as the basis for curing virtually any disease. The biologists discovered that the human body consists of far fewer genes than previously believed and that these genes do not operate as previously predicted. Additionally, John Cairns, a British molecular biologist also produced compelling evidence in 1988 that our responses to our environment determine the expression of our genes. A radical thought, but one that has been proven correct many times over. Near the end of his life, even Darwin conceded that his evolutionary theory had minimized the effects of the environment. In an 1876 letter he wrote: “In my opinion, the greatest error which I have committed has been not allowing sufficient weight to the direct action of the environments, i.e., food, climate, etc., independently of natural selection . . . When I wrote the Origin, and for some years afterwards, I could find little good evidence of the direct action of the environment; now there is a large body of evidence.” (Darwin, F 1888) Beyond just the environment of nutrition, climate, etc. affecting our genes, please note this dramatic discovery; according to Dr. Lipton (mentioned above) this “environment” that your genes respond to also includes your conscious thoughts, emotions, and unconscious beliefs. In addition, scientists have realized the flaws in Newtonian physics as Quantum Physics shows us that the invisible, immaterial realm is actually far more important than the material realm (e.g., light is a wave until we decide to measure it and then it becomes a particle. Time does not exist until we measure it). In fact, your thoughts may shape your environment and your genes far more than physical matter!

Again, what do these points have to do with your business? The corporate world has been described as “dog-eat-dog”, “survival of the fittest”, and in other competitive ways that leave the “spoils” to the “victor”. I believe much of those ideas were fostered and cultivated because of the validation Darwin’s theory gave to the primal behaviors of ancient societies. Along with the development of technology, we could have (and should have) progressed far beyond brutish beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors as modern societies. We haven’t. To my knowledge, nowhere else in the world’s ecosystems does the fighting and competition lead to the extinction of species as that of humans. Humans are the only occupants on earth who see life and business as an all-out struggle where the wealth goes to the “fittest” regardless of the means by which they are attained. The Darwinian focus on the fitness of the individual de-emphasizes the significance of community, cooperation, and collaboration in evolution. Noteworthy is that the rest of the world’s ecosystems work in harmony to create sustainability and growth. Those ecosystems work collaboratively.

There is some fascinating research of biologist and mathematician Martin A. Nowak, Director of Harvard’s Program for Evolutionary Dynamics, which supports the idea that cooperation plays a pivotal part in sustainable evolution. Nowak concludes from his research that “life is not just a struggle for survival, but also a snuggle for survival.” With the world becoming “smaller” through technology, there are more and more ways in which people and companies can collaborate for the good of all, including the top and bottom lines of these businesses. And, even though the world seems smaller, there is still vast abundance of wealth and resources available which can be used to in an axiological way. This what my friends Brad Fergusson, Joanne Swecker, and Ali Anani, along with many, many more are spearheading People Before Profits to accomplish. I invite you to fully consider how PBP can help your organization profit more by putting people first.

Lastly, Epigenetics. We are not victims to our genes. There is no such thing as a “genetic disposition”, with only very few diseases as exceptions. Because the human spirit is so strong and powerful, we can only be victims to someone or something of which we choose to be a victim. As I have before, I refer to the example of Viktor Frankl and many others who had the circumstances, situations, ailments, disabilities, etc. who could have chosen to be victims…but, they chose to be victors, instead! This means that now is the time to train your people to stop being victims, whether that is to Darwinian-born beliefs or others, and to become the powerful producers they posses the ability to be. What training? Training that will truly impact conscious thoughts, emotions, and unconscious beliefs.

Capturing the Intangible

Phoenix_Edward_Lewellen

The “Human Spirit”; Powerful, Indomitable, Forever. Throughout history people have attempted to squelch it, squash it, and squeeze the life from from it. It is impossible to stop. Many thought that by the time we reached this century that people wouldn’t even be needed, that machines would be doing all the work and people would be relegated to a position of inactive observers. We have reached pinnacles in many areas; medicine, industry, education, etc. Yet, I believe we are failing in the most important ways. What ways? Business. Government. Religion. Why do I believe this? Through my own observations and a recent report by the Soufan Group, an organization which monitors global terrorist threats. Here’s a comment I will refer to throughout this post; One Soufan Group report says the following are the reasons why so many young people are being attracted to extremist cultures: “A search for belonging, purpose, adventure and friendship appear to remain the main reasons for people to join (extremist groups), just as they remain the least-addressed issues in the international fight against terrorism.” The world’s businesses, governments, and religions have failed to address the human spirit’s needs for “belonging, purpose, adventure and friendship.” Before you read on, let me clarify; I am not anti-business, anti-government, or anti-religious. In fact, I’m just the opposite. I am simply pointing to what I have seen and read are precipitating the changes already underway.

Business has failed to lead in alignment with core human values. How so? Stakeholders in business has become so preoccupied with making more and more money they have forgotten the “Who” in their business models. Ultimately, people are the “Who” of any business. If there aren’t people to run the business, to make the products, to provide the services, and to consume the products and services, then there is no need for those businesses. Yet, money has become more important that people. Just look at the examples of Enron, Worldcom, Bernie Madoff, Lehman Brothers, Cendant, Tyco, and so many others. Because the younger generations have witnessed these events at an early age and have seen people close to them divested of their hard-earned savings because of the leaders and other stakeholders in the business world possess a “Profits-Before-People” attitude, younger generations are implementing change in order to find balance in the favor of people. Just as we saw in the ’70’s in the U.S., the human spirit is rising and challenging the status quo. The change cannot be denied as corporations struggle to find ways to hurriedly change corporate culture, increase employee engagement, and find new ways to attract young, intelligent people to their organizations. So far, in this writer’s estimation, the solutions are merely surface fixes and bandages. What is most distressing to me it that our young people feel they can find higher values being expressed in extremist groups than they can within our “progressive” societies. Failing to provide “belonging, purpose, adventure and friendship” is a clear condemnation of the current way business is being done.

Governments have long been a shameful display of lack of ethics, dysfunction, and an attitude of “the elite few ruling over the masses.” You can find news casts and videos galore of governmental officials all over the world infighting, bickering, and actual all-out fist fighting.
http://trans-think.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Japanese-politicians-brawlp4.mp4 Even in what we call “Democratic” governments, money from “Special Interest Groups” so easily and massively distributed for favors from those in positions of power doesn’t take long to corrupt those representing the masses in a society where money is more important than people. As I stated before, just like in the ’70’s, it is the young people who are calling for real change and are having an even larger impact than in the 70’s because of Social Media today as they continue their search for “belonging, purpose, adventure and friendship” which they aren’t finding through the current governments. This is a clear condemnation of the current way governments are being run.

As young people worldwide search for “”belonging, purpose, adventure and friendship” they condemn the world’s religions as failing. If you watch people in the parking lots of religious edifices, most of the time they are in such a hurry to leave that they avoid looking at each other so as not to have to interact. Or, at the very least, give a quick wave of acknowledgment and head off. It’s as if most religious people feel they have completed their “duty” and they can now get on with what they really want to do. Young people today see and feel the large chasm between what their religious writings say and how religious leadership and devotees of religions think and act. I have friends who either are, or have been, in the upper-levels of churches of some of the most prominent and highly regarded Christian churches where there are thousands of members. The members of these churches are all smiles and believe that all is well in their religious world. However, the stories of the spiritual and other forms of corruption at the highest levels in these churches is more than disturbing. If their parishioners knew what was going on within the walls of secrecy these churches would be empty. These are situations which the usual church-goer will never see. But, the effects eventually trickle down to all. Another evidence of the failure of religious entities is the high defection rate from religion that much of the world is experiencing. Why are people defecting? Because people feel their religions haven’t met their needs for “belonging, purpose, adventure and friendship”. The defection is a outright condemnation of how and what the world’s religions are bringing to their people.

The “Human Spirit”; Powerful, Indomitable, Forever. Throughout history people have attempted to squelch it, squash it, and squeeze the life from from it. It is impossible to stop. Changes have already begun and we all need to participate in the formation of what that change will look like or the the form it takes may not be for the good of all. It is time to capture, or recapture, the human spirit and give everyone the opportunity to find “belonging, purpose, adventure and friendship”.

In the new world of business

As new generations become most prominent

A difference will be made, one that is dominant

The people who make up business will be what’s important

Where family and friends and leisure time take on comportment

Gone will be the days when money was the only gain

This to our children we’ll gladly explain

“There was a time in the past when people focused only on profit

That time came to an end as we watched the world fall apart because of it.

We focus now on giving people the highest value

A funny thing happened that the experts said wouldn’t come true

By putting people first, employees and customers alike

The income and profit took a heavenward spike.”

Now, I’m sure there are haters and doubters out there

But, quite honestly, I must tell you, I just don’t care

You see the movement and change has already started with vigor

Those that can’t see it have minds that are meager

Join with us now to make the transformation faster

“People Before Profit”, all over the world we will plaster!
