5 Hour Jolt Smoothie

5 Hour Jolt Smoothie

You. Are. Awesome.

I just had to tell you! I looooooove that you are rockin’ the challenge with me.

And it’s Day 6 already!

This smoothie is packed with tons of energizing ingredients to keep you going all day long. Blueberries (anti-oxidant powerhouse), spinach (chlorophyll in the cells), avocado (amazing good fat), coconut water ( electrolyte boost) and cashews to make things thick with substance to hold you over to your next meal.

As you can see, this smoothie is well-rounded, hitting the good carbs, fats and proteins in one slurp!

5 Hour Jolt Smoothie is a much healthier option to the 5 Hour EnergyShot and Red Bull that are packed with caffeine, sugar and all kinds of processed crap. Those drinks hinder weight loss and actually mask how tired you truly are. The crash and burn is quite painful!

Crank up your blender and make 5 Hour Jolt Smoothie with me!

5 Hour Jolt Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup spinach
2 cups coconut water
1 avocado, peeled and pitted
¼ cup blueberries
1 Tbsp. cashews

Makes 2 servings so share with your +1!

Let’s Get It Green Smoothie

Let’s Get It Green Smoothie

The #21DayGreenUp Smoothie Challenge starts Dec. 1st!

AND I’m pumped!  I developed NEW smoothie recipes for the group challenge and I can’t wait for everyone to sip on them as well as do ONE healthy thing a day during the holiday season.

The holidays can be challenging when it comes to keeping it clean and that’s okay! Really, there have been so many years in my past that I either over did it and on Jan. 1st I felt so heavy or I didn’t let myself enjoy things and indulge. So I was sad.

It’s tricky keeping that balance so as a group, we will be sipping on one green drink a day. And guess what? Something pretty amazing happens. When you add things that feed your cells liquid nutrition, you start to change at a deep level. You make healthier choices, you hang out with people who lift you up, you move your body more, you feel lighter and want to keep up with the clean + sexy more. AND you say NO.

Yes, No.

Saying NO is the best gift you can give yourself so really think before you accept another party invite when your heart isn’t in it.

I DO want you to say YES to joining me for the #21DayGreenUp Smoothie Challenge, though! I hope you do!

You can start by blending these ingredients to make Let’s Get It Smoothie:

2 cups almond milk (unsweetened, original)

1 banana (frozen, preferred)

1 peach, cored and chopped (or 1/4 cup frozen peaches)

1 Tbsp. raw almond  butter

1 Tbsp. flaxseeds

Makes 2 servings so share with your +1.

Will you drink up with me?!

Warrior Green Juice Recipe

Warrior Green Juice Recipe

11:11, such a magical manifesting day! Yesterday I posted about how I manifested Go Clean, Sexy You. I swear I wrote my dreams down and 20 years later, bam. Thank you, Universe!

AND I’ve been seeing 11:11, 1:11, 11 all the time for the past 2 months.

I look at my phone: 11:11. I checked my digital watch: 1:11. Watching Kate play field hockey, she’s # 11. Jack’s Hero Boys race number is 11.

I have been researching numerology (well, I Googled it), and I found out that 11 is a master number. My angels telling me to “pay attention!”

Make a wish, and it is believed to come true.

A window is opening up in your life and you should ask for guidance from your ‘angels’ to find out what it is.

Pay attention, stop, and recognize the significance of the moment. Time for manifestation.

AND look, today, I had a haircut appt. at 11 am. Whoa, I’m thinking my hair is gonna be amazing since it was all did up on this special day!

Keep your thoughts positive… your thoughts are creating your reality. The more good juju, the better, I say! AND trust your messages.

Now onto some juice!

When you clear clutter within your cells by avoiding sugar, caffeine, and other acidic substances that just don’t serve you, you can feel and see clearly. You are able to notice the divine messages around you. AND  you have more energy… we all want some of that!

Instead of relying on Red Bull or 5 Hour Energy shots, just get yourself a glass of Warrior Juice and you’ll be ON and focused for hours and  hours.  I like to drink when I’m dragging (especially after the longs nights I spent editing!)… Warrior Juice perks me right up and keeps me focused.

Warrior Juice
Makes approximately 12 ounces
Juice these ingredients and serve.
1 cucumber

2 carrots

1 apple

1 tablespoon basil

½ lime, peeled

The cucumber is great for your skin as well as the perfect veggie to juice especially if you are a beginner.

The apple is super for keeping you well (Vitamin C, hello!) .

Basil gives you shiny hair and the glow. This herb also boosts your immune system.

AND lime, well, lime is just plain fun. Limes also aid digestion and help with weight loss.

I’m excited to share this recipe with you… it’s from my new cookbook, Go Clean, Sexy You!

You can order your copy and score AMAZING fun BONUS gifts. A thank you from moi!

What do you say?
Is there a number that you see ALL the time? OR do you know much about numerology. School me! I would love your insight.

Portobello and Guac Treats

Portobello and Guac Treats

I’m so excited to give you a sneak peek into my “look beyond the recipes” book, Go Clean, Sexy You. It has been 2 years in the making, not to mention 5 years of working with clients in my detox programs. Time and time again I was asked to put all my clean, anti-inflammatory (i.e. gluten-free and plant-based) recipes in one package, and well, I did. Just for you!

In addition to 100+ seasonal, whole food recipes including smoothies and juices, I provide my exact wellness plan for all year feelin’ gooooooood. The plan is for the entire year, season to season, so you can learn to develop healthy habits that can stick with you for a very, very long time. Feeling light, energized, focused and overall connected to your body is the magic of really tuning in to what is true for you.

Since we have the party season coming up, I wanted to share one of my absolute favorite recipes from the book with you. You can bring these treats to the next  holiday party. They are easy to make and no oven required!

Let’s make ‘em!

Portobello and Guac Treats

serves 1–2

Ingredients:

2 ripe avocados, peeled, pitted, and mashed

½ onion, chopped (¼ cup)

1 tomato, chopped (½ cup)

1 tablespoon lime juice

1 teaspoon sea salt

2 portobello mushrooms, stemmed and gilled

Make guacamole by combining all ingredients except the mushrooms in a bowl. Scoop the guac

into the mushroom caps and serve.

Note: This recipe makes 4 servings of guacamole. Store leftovers in an airtight glass container in

the fridge; it will last for 2 to 3 days.

Do you have a fast, easy appetizer you like to make for the holidays? Share with me!

PS.  Check out my new  book, Go Clean, Sexy You for more recipes like this one… 100+!
