Review of Accidental Valentine

Guiding Hearts by Claire Gillian
I enjoyed this story--it had a dash of mysticism and it actually dealt with a serious issue. It took some time for the characters to get to know each other, rather than the whirlwind romances I'm used too. Theone problem I had is thatI figured out the plot halfway through and got irritated that the heroine didn't do the same. Also, the mysticism had me questioning once or twice whether there was something missing or not. Thi...

About Me?
I feel inadequate to blog. Isn’t that the strangest thing? What quiet reflection I have I like to turn toward my stories and in those few moments, I really and truly desire to blog, I find I feel completely…inadequate. The words aren’t right, and everything I want to say is hindered by my need to publish instantly, to share a little piece of myself unedited, but more personal, for me, as a person.
I don’t think there’s much about me that’s controversial. As a person, I spend most of my day w...

In The Moment
We live life in moments. It sounds so silly and ridiculous, doesn’t it? Like saying seconds or minutes or hours…well, duh, right? But moments are different. They feel different, they sound and smell and look different, and most of the time, you can tell when a minute or a second turns into a moment.
I love toying with this in my stories. I love stretching and playing with moments, something that in some way touches me or gives my characters depth where I didn’t know there was any before. Som...

And Now For Something Warm
Curled up in front of my computer on this Saturday afternoon, getting ready to write, a thought comes to mind. Brrrr, it is cold out there!
Chilly, chilly, it is indeed, but there is some goodness out there to warm the spirit if not the fingers. Like the new review out on “Tales From the Book Dude” or this one from "Artsy Book Lovin’ Sisters." Whoot!
Combine that with the lovely review I got for Manor of Sweet Souls , and it’s quite warm and toasty in this little heart of mine.

Excerpt for Arkadia by Dzintra Sullivan

I am Arkadia Castner. I am beautiful. I am popular. I am also the most messed-up witch you will ever meet. I can’t make water boil, or make the wind blow; I can’t even light a match without the aid of a flint. My 18th birthday is in six months, and if I don’t pass the Paranormal Safety Exams (PSEs) by then, I will be banished to the Isle of Shadows for eternity, never to be seen again – it will be as though I never existed.
I found myself at the halfway house under the supervisi...

Marketing Plans
There are certain things that just don’t come to mind when you’re writing a book. Marketing is one of them.
When Roane Publishing took on my book, I was thrilled and I wasn’t completely thoughtless about it. I liked the pricing, I liked having it out along with my free read, because I felt the free read could give a reader a risk-free way to try my work. Ninety-nine cents? That could cement the relationship that my work is quality. I knew it would be hard to get people to try a name they’ve...

Thanks For "Light a Candle For the Beast"
I want to thank everyone who signed up for the blog tour of Light a Candle for the Beast. I had so much help in getting the word out there, so much kindness, that I’m a little overwhelmed. I feel like I’m going to forget someone who gave my work time and space on their blog or page. Fingers crossed that I won’t.
First off, I want to thank the lovely Kathryn Jacoby of MyBook Angel —she created the tiny URLs that made tweeting easier, created teasers, and helped promote Light a Candle for the Bea...
