I've been a big fan of fairy tales and different retellings of the tales that I've come to know and love. I knew that I wanted to write something to do with a tale that I grew up with - so, late one night, I just started to write a draft in Hades and Persephone's point of view, and "Seven Seeds of Summer" took off! Sometimes it might take a few weeks to get out of writer's block. I've had it happen that it lasts much longer. But time, knitting, painting, talking out the plot with my fiance Rob - He always gets me to re-look at what I'm doing differently. Hot showers. Watching movies or shows that are sort of similar. When it came to "Allerleirauh" - I'd watch a lot of "The White Queen" or "The Tudors."
Sometimes just time is the best way to deal with Writer's Block. It depends on how bad it is. (less)

So I just realized today that it's been a long time since I've updated ANYTHING on this website, and that's really horrible of me.

Since I last posted on here, "The Songs in Our Hearts" reached a TOP 100 List on Amazon, making it an Amazon Best Seller! (Exciting, right?)

Also, with the success of "The Songs in Our Hearts," the sequel, "The Songs We Remember," was accepted by 48Fourteen Publishing... Read more of this blog post »

"Received a copy from the author in exchange for a review!

So, it’s a very easy thing to say that I am a complete hoe for Hades/Persephone retellings.

I’m also very, very picky bc this has been my otp for at least fifteen years.

This book delivers. I..." Read more of this review »

“Love is not so easy, Clara,” he said with a smile, but it was sad and reserved. “Anyone can say they love someone. But love—real love—is felt and earned… It’s more than words. It’s action . . . it’s sacrifice. Love is a great many things, and it has eluded me for so many years.”

“Sometimes, dreams can be reality,” he began. “Sometimes, the dreams, however strange or beautiful, can transport us to another world. And sometimes, that dream can simply capture a moment in time; a perfect image of what it could be. But the dream is different now.”

I darted a glance underneath the cabinet, and saw with a sense of relief, a long forgotten sword Fritz must have lost for one of his commanders.
Yay! Im glad shes looking to defend herself rather than being a damsel🙌
