Mechanical Magic

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MS14KU3.

Mechanical Magic is a gentle, reassuring story about a boy who is visited at night by a helicopter.

The 1989 Communist Revolution in Romania, was my inspiration for the story.

During the revolution, the evil dictator, Nicolae Ceausescu and his horrid wife, Elena, tried to escape by helicopter.

They were captured and shot by firing squad on Christmas Day, 1989.

https://player.vimeo.com/video/180324277?title=0&byline=0&portrait=0

Warning; images in this video are very confronting.

pic2 Every child deserves a loving family, therefore Springtime House provides Romanian orphans a family-style home with godly foster parents.

Basic needs such as food and shelter combined with emotional healing and spiritual mentoring are provided. Youngsters are educated, tutored, taught life skills, social skills, and encouraged to be involved in community-based activities.

Transitional plans for independent living are in place through internal operations and partnerships with faith-based organizations and churches. The goal is to enable these orphans to grow in a healthy environment, preparing them to be productive members of society.

Help the Children Play

Please support Ileana’s efforts to fundraise for a children’s playground.

A simple playground, something we all take for granted, can make a huge difference to the quality of life of impoverished families in Romania.

Ileana Cunniffe Băiescu

October 25 at 6:13am · Galway, Ireland ·

We are building a small PLAYGROUND in Scutelnici, County Buzău, România – my very own birth place.

After reuniting close to 150 families voluntarily (100% free of charge) we decided to FUNDRAISE to build a small outdoor play facility in the small and poor community, where 20 years ago, I used to call it, HOME.

I would like to invite all our REUNIONS, SEARCHES and all our FRIENDS and FOLLOWERS to join me on another, yet amazing journey.

Over 300 young children will benefit from this project. Many of these children, are the children of my childhood friends. What a beautiful gift this could make to these families and it’s community!!!

We are now taking donations towards this project. We will like to ask anyone that will like to help us with either organizing a small fundraising event locally or just make a small personal donation towards it.

For all the bank information, please message me in private or on our community Facebook page, The never forgotten Romanian children – Copiii niciodată uitați ai României https://m.facebook.com/theneverforgottonromanianchildren

Will like to take this opportunity to send massive THANKS to our friends in NORWAY: to our young ladies reunited with their families from Romania, that had raised for the playground, so far €2015 but also to Steinarskogen Kindergarden in Veavågen, Norway for raising €1400, we greatly appreciate this!!

https://www.facebook.com/Steinarskogen-FUS-barnehage-71475…/ an amazing start, YOU have put on the map the foundations of this project!!

Many, many THANKS to you all and to your wonderful small community for coming together and playing such a massive part!!

The never forgotten Romanian children – Copiii niciodată uitaţi aiRomâniei https://m.facebook.com/theneverforgottonromanianchildren

https://www.facebook.com/Steinarskogen-FUS-barnehage-71475…/

Un început uimitor, voi cu toții aţi pus pe harta bazele acestui proiect. Multe, multe MULŢUMIRI vouă şi micii voastre comunităţii minunate pentru că împreună aţi jucat un rol enorm!!

Springtime House In Romania

Contact Us: info@springtimehouse.org

screen-shot-2016-10-17-at-10-19-40-am

Our story began in the loving heart of an English teacher and day care provider in 1990. Springtime in Romania was founded by Barbara Waldron.

withbunny In 1989, Romania had a Revolution and won their independence from communist Russia. After that time, however, the factories and businesses operated by the former government were shut down, people were without jobs and over 95,000 orphans were added to the overcrowded orphanages. The government had trouble feeding and clothing so many children.

In 1990 a small group from Great Britain, led by Barbara Waldron, became a beacon of hope to orphans as they made several trips by van taking clothes, fruit, toys, etc. to Romania orphanages. 1991 Mrs. Waldron and Peter Tat of Cluj, Romania partnered to form Spring Christian Foundation of Charity in Romania (Fundatia Crestina De Caritate Primavara in Romania).

In 1997 the UK Charity was registered in England and Wales by Barbara Waldron, Founder and President with her Board of Directors. This UK Charity was named Casa Primavara. Until the founding of the US foundation, the UK charity was the sole means of support.

Land was purchased in 2000 to build a group home for orphans. Mrs. Waldron and Peter Tat, Executive Director and Builder of Casa Primavara, worked together with local Child Protective Services (CPS) and other local Romanian government authorities to comply with laws and operating a group home for orphans and trained house (foster) parents.

In 2003 the dream of Mrs. Barbara Waldron became reality and five (5) children from 18 months to eight years old, all siblings were chosen and welcomed to be the first to live in a natural family setting at Springtime House in Romania under the supervision of two house Parents named Mr. & Mrs. Vasile and Elena Rus. All Board members in UK, USA and Romania are volunteers. This family continues to live and thrive together at Casa Primavara. The Romanian CPS officials continue to monitor the well-being of the children and quality of care given.

In September of 2009 Richard (Rick) and Sandra (Sandy) Scott traveled to Cluj-Napoca, Romania to visit close friends, Peter and Lidia Tat. Peter had written letters and email saying he needed help with Springtime House due to his congestive heart failure and was not expected to live much longer. They visited the home and met the House Parents and the children. They were amazed with the facility. Although in need of some repair, the house represented Godly values, love, and lots of potential.

The House is three-story facility with a basement and a carport. The property is completely fenced with a security gates in the front. There is a very small play yard with fruit trees and grape vines producing much fruit. The rest of the narrow, elongated property was entirely vegetable and fruit garden. The house parents plant, sow and harvest fruit and vegetables annually and maintain a root cellar and homemade canned goods to feed the family through the harsh winter. Beautiful roses and flowers were planted in the front area around the house. The meals Elena Rus prepared for us were healthy and delicious, even including fresh-squeezed fruit juice from the trees. The hard work of the parents and loving family environment gave us such a confidence in this ministry to children who had been abused, abandoned and then orphaned.

The Springtime House family was deeply saddened by the death of Peter Tat in 2010. Rick and Sandy Scott and Barbara Waldron joined many hundreds of local friends and family for Peterâ’s funeral in Romania. Afterwards, the Romanian Board was reorganized and Barbara Waldron elected to remove herself from this board on which she had formerly sat with Peter Tat and Rick was appointed in her place.

That Spring, Springtime House in Romania-USA, Inc. was formed and a Board of Directors was appointed and By-Laws were drafted.

In 2011, Springtime House in Romania launched their website at http://www.SpringtimeHouse.com. The Board of Directors continued to quickly establish Springtime House in Romania a viable charity in support of Romanian Orphans by filing a Certificate of Formation as a charitable organization with the State of Texas as well as filing for the 501(c)(3) with the Internal Revenue Service in August of the same year.

In April of 2012, Springtime House in Romania received designation from the US IRS as an official 501(c)(3) charitable organization

The Springtime House Board of Directors continues to invest countless hours towards the mission of rescuing children. As of January 1 of 2014, the foundation provides food, shelter, financial and/or educational support support to nearly 60 children in and around the Cluj Napoaca, Romania region. The need is tremendous but so is our God. We welcome you to join us in our quest to DO MORE to rescue the orphans and widows of Romania.

Love Light Romania- Winter Footwear for the Children

screen-shot-2016-10-05-at-1-39-10-pm

It is getting cold in Romania with snow on the ground. If the children do not have suitable footwear, they cannot attend school. Their education is vital to break the cycle of poverty. Please help by donating to the winter footwear appeal.
