New Look for the Inn Love Series
It's been a while since I posted on my blog. With so much going on in the world and in Sri Lanka, I kept forgetting about it.
Anyway, time for an announcement: I wasn't that happy with the previous covers for my Inn Love romance novel series anymore, so I decided to give them an overhaul. I relaunched the books with their new covers a while ago and now I really want to grab myself another paperback copy of each book.

Have you ever thought about reading something in the Paranormal Romance genre? Are you sceptic about the thought how a fantasy story about vampires, beasts or the like can work together with our beloved romance?
That’s absolutely comprehensible. But maybe I can give you some additional thoughts about the value and greatness of paranormal romance!
So give me about 4 minutes of your reading time and maybe you end up searching for great books in this special genre!
The first thing we have to clarify is what one understands as “Paranormal Romance”:
Paranormal means outside what is generally considered normal. Generally speaking, anything fantastical; faeries, giants, witches, spells, shape shifters, vampires, werewolves, etc., is a key giveaway that what you’re about to sink your teeth into is a Paranormal Romance book.
In paranormal worlds the fantastical becomes normal and when you add in a dash of romance, you usually get a great read. Trust me… Let your own imagination and fantasy take control, it’s truly worth it!
Anything You Can Imagine
The awesome and beautiful worlds of paranormal romance lend themselves to the fantastical, because they can literally be anything you want them to be. You can be a heroine destined to fall for a hero, only to find that he’s from a faraway world with mystical properties that will greatly enable you to help those you love.
Or perhaps you’d like to be a galaxy walker who visits planets in other universes and falls for a beautiful woman, only to lose her in a war you accidentally came upon in your journeys.
Paranormal romance joins love we all want to believe in and pairs it beautifully with the far reaches of our imaginations.
One well-known example of this type of writing is the movie Avatar, by James Cameron. This movie was made in 2009 and became a huge success. In the film you’ll meet Jake Sully, a paraplegic Marine who finds himself deposited on the distant moon Pandora. While there he becomes parts of an outreach mission to make contact with residents on the moon's surface.
When his mission becomes a problem with his superiors, Jake must decide whether to follow orders as usual, or to protect the place and people he feels have become his home and family.
Funny and Fabulous
It’s easy to have the mindset that all paranormal romance is heavy and deep and never spares a light moment, but that’s not the case. As The Silver Petticoat Review adequately points out, streaming services like Amazon Prime and Hulu have slews of great paranormal romance offerings for your viewing pleasure and most, you’ll love to know, are based on books which are generally by the same name.
For instance, Ghost Town (2008) stars Ricky Gervais, Greg Kinnear and Tea Leoni. Gervais plays a people hating dentist who is unfortunately gifted with the ability to see and talk to the dearly departed. Much as he hates them, he can’t go on with his own life, until he starts helping those who left their lives unfinished. When he runs across Gwen, the widow of Kinnear’s character, a funny romance starts to bud.
All is well in the paranormal world, or at least for the most part. There are few, if any, fantasy worlds that don’t turn out right for the main characters and if you’re a sucker for happy endings, paranormal romance is just the sub-genre for you.
For the Love of Reading
So, the next time you’re wanting a little romance and a bit of fantasy, look no further than your nearest library, e-reader or streaming service, because there are numerous ways to enjoy everything about paranormal romance.
And why not even go a little farther? Why not add some steam and high-heat sequences into a paranormal romance novel?

New Poem & Look Back at the Year
It's been a difficult year for most of us, certainly one with many changes.
Some of us wrote more, some less; some read more or tried out different genres. All in all, I think the world of literature has kept people sane.
As for me, I released the first novella in my small town romance series. I also made a second chance romance novella available that was previously part of an anthology, and I recently published my first short story (with a paranormal twist). And as of 2020, all my books are enrolled in Kindle Unlimited.

Of heroes wearing masks, not crowns
Of online lives in eerily empty ghost towns
Hang on, you’ll make it through
For endings bring new beginnings
Rely on that spark inside of you
Count your blessings and winnings
It’s been a year of us longing for
People and things we can’t have anymore
But it brought innovation and courage to the fore
Hang on, smile again
There’s a lesson to be learned
Even if you don’t know when
You’ll receive what you’ve earned
Some of us wrote more, some less; some read more or tried out different genres. All in all, I think the world of literature has kept people sane.
As for me, I released the first novella in my small town romance series. I also made a second chance romance novella available that was previously part of an anthology, and I recently published my first short story (with a paranormal twist). And as of 2020, all my books are enrolled in Kindle Unlimited.
