Sundari Venkatraman is an Indie Author who has 76 self-published books to her credit. These books have consistently featured in the Top 100 Bestseller Lists on Amazon India, Amazon USA, Amazon UK, Amazon Canada and Amazon Australia in both romance as well as Asian Drama categories. Her latest hot romances have all been on #1 Bestseller slot in Amazon India for over a month. These days, the author is independently publishing her novels in paperback format under her banner Flaming Sun, printed and distributed by Notion Press. Even as a child, Sundari absolutely loved the ‘lived happily ever after’ syndrome and she grew up on a steady diet of fairy tales, Phantom comics and Mandrake comics. It was always about good triumphing over evil and a happy ending after the protagonists surmounted all unexpected obstacles. Once she entered her teens, Sundari switched her loyalties from fairy tales to Mills & Boon. While she loved reading both of these, she kept visualising what would have happened if there were similar situations happening in India; to local heroes and heroines. And of course, the joy of vanquishing the ubiquitous evil villains! Her imagination soared and she happily ensconced herself in a rosy romantic cocoon for many years. Then came the writing—a true bolt from the blue! And Sundari Venkatraman has never looked back. Use hashtag #60at60 You can connect with the author here: https://linktr.ee/sundarivenkatraman
Taurus Temptation is my first novel by the writer Sundari. It's a modern work explaining the plans & goals of today's youngsters while at the same time telling us how two zodiac signs of extreme characteristics fall in love with each other. Youth today desire to be self-governing & begin something on their own, rather than be held to a 9-5 job in a firm. Giving both the older & younger generation's opinions was indeed a clever move.
Who doesn't fancy being a member of a budding passionate connection, family show for a fixed arranged match, cutting off engagements, the triumphant establishment of a new cafe, beginning a blogging website, sibling fights, gossips within the community when a kid elopes with a guy? You get all that & much more extra while reading this Indian romance novel.
The tale has sentiments ranging from rage, envy, love, empathy, joy to grief. The way the writer has penned the novel, one can really feel these sensations in the situations. You cry when there's a sad scene running & you blush when there's a passionate scene. One can't help but choose sides & root for their beloved lead actors. The account is uncomplicated yet so genuine with a great plot.
The overall literature employed in the tale is something all readers can quickly understand. The few grammatical mistakes can be efficiently taken care of in the following publication. The conversations are so genuine & that it's comfortable to be inside the account. I just couldn't stop reading the novel because it has a great storyline. I would suggest it to anyone who likes fantasy books.
Although Sundari's 50th book is 'written in the stars' as the title says, the book's narrative is grounded in reality. It's a story that youngsters of today would relate to, and so would the older generation as it shows both points of view without being judgemental. Add vicious sibling rivalry to the chaotic drama and you have an interesting read. The characterisation was not only based on the Taurean and Cancerian traits of the main protagonists, but was further developed into the people they become after falling in love.
I liked Vidyut for his rock solid dependability. He was strong and gentle and knew what he wanted without being selfish. Never once does he falter when dealing with his problems. Haasini was a tad flighty in the beginning but I liked that she was deeply apologetic about her hurtful actions. She makes amends showing maturity and progress in her character.
Sundari's stories would be incomplete without the typical great Indian family;-) The clash of two generations was shown well. Both sets of parents were as real as it gets. So was the messy power equation between parents and grown children. It was all about holding on and letting go. It was dramatic! But I suppose that's what Indian families are like;-)
The story of the book is about Vidyut, a Taurus personality and Hassini a cancer personality and how their sunsign and personality traits gels for them to fall in love.
While reading this book, I felt this is the book about happy forever types. This book does makes you have a tingling sensation that you have ,when you read a romantic book. All this while, while reading the book I had a smile plastered on my face as if I am the character and I am relieving those moments. What more do I say that I have liked the book.
Simplicity and minimal characters along with strong plot and simple narration. A story that makes your heart dance and mind relate to the characters. All the emotions are justified and something we all feel. The story has something for everyone, be it a family bond or siblings or lovers. Vidyut and Janani are engaged to be married and with a change in career his fiancee not very convinced throws an ultimatum to get back to job. When he doesn’t she returns the ring and breaks the engagement. Not fazed with what happened Vidyut works hard to fulfill his dreams and make it a success. Haasini is a blogger who has worked very hard to make a name for herself. Dabbling in her online jobs and being successful in her own way she meets Vidyut and sparks fly. Just when they realize and get cozy with each other something that has a power to create a tiff happens. Will the lovebird sustain this? Or will the storm break them into pieces? Read the story to find out.
The chemistry between the leads leaves you spellbound and wanting for more. Writing a love story and weaving the special moments in a subtle way is something Sundari aces in. Beautifully written and a love story that leaves you with a smile on your face.
Vidyut, a Taurus ♉ has his engagement broken by his fiancee Janini because he quits an amazing job to start his own Café. Haasini, a cancerian ♋ enters his life. She's an entrepreneur 8 years younger than Vidyut, a café owner. Vidyut struggles not to fall for the beautiful young lady but he is unable to help himself because the heart wants what it wants. Just when things seem to fall in place for the couple, unexpected troubles arise, tearing them apart as it reveals the jealous nature of the Cancer.
Sundari Venkatraman has written over 50 novels. This is her 50th book, third from written in the stars series. Considering that I tried this one. The title and the cover are suitable and the narration is quite interesting. This is a typical romance novel, my first read from this author that I picked up only because I saw several friends reading her books lately. I can conclude that this was a great read. The story has been well presented by the author however I think that the steamy romance genre is not my type. Still doesn't mean it is something bad, but not my cup of tea so probably I'll not be reading more such books. Thanks for reading!

Thus, this all of the sudden change in his mind leads to a disconnect with her fiancee and which eventually leads to break his engagement. ♉FINAL CALL: If you are looking for something short with good character sketch this can surely be a good pick. . Taurus Temptation is the third installment in the Written in the Stars series. The series focuses on zodiacs, their characteristics and their potential matches. The book, in question today, revolves around our protagonist, Vidyut, a thirty-year old Taurean who quit his job to start his own business-Kamath's Koffee. He falls in love with Haasini, a young Cancerian who is a freelance writer for newspapers, also has her own blog and a YouTube channel. However, circumstances keep them apart. Are they 'written in the stars'?
Sundari Venkatraman has penned this beautiful story keeping in line with the contemporary times. The story is set in Bengaluru and there are a lot of mentions of the culture, the food, the bustling young crowd, etc. However, I felt that the story is a bit farfetched but aspirational. My only bone of contention is how each and every conflict got resolved like it is nothing. But it cannot be discounted that the details on the zodiacs is in depth and well-researched. The mention of today's work culture, accessibility to different kinds of 'unconventional' jobs is commendable. The characters are well thought out and relatable. The language is comprehensive but repetitive and the narrative is well-paced. All in all, it is a light and breezy read. Happy reading!
50 books...50 bestsellers...always a new theme...always page turners! This is how I can describe Sundari Venkatraman's work and "The Taurus Temptation" is no exception. A feel good HEA to help us along the difficult times and definitely a must read.
Book review: Taurus temptations Author : @sundarivenkatraman Characters : Vidyut Kamath(the Taurus), Janini Rai, Haasini Rai(the Cancerian), Jyothi and Haresh Rai, Vandana and Arun Kamath, Avantika and Shatrughan
Storyline: This book mainly revolves around Vidyut Kamath who has studied from USA, looks handsome and working in an MNC paying huge fat salary, engaged and going to marry a girl of his parents' choice through arranged marriage until he takes one big decision for a long held dream that he held. And after that one fine day life crosses his paths with a close acquaintance to his ex fiance. Then almost all emotions of human nature have been potrayed beautifully by the author through the characters to the readers.
This book includes everything from romance, drama, anger, hatred, happiness and lots of love.
Vidyut- The bull-headed Taurus was good at procrastinating, but once he arrived at a decision, it was not easy to wrench him away from it.
Janini Rai- The one whose brain worked slowly. She wasn’t quick on her feet when it came to building stories. She was a planner and not one to consider all the angles before doing something.
Haasini- The Cancerian, the carefree independent, hardworking, family first kinda lady.
Best part: The story takes you through a turmoil of emotions and makes you want to read it till the end. Also, it has a happy ending😊
Overall a good book fir whoever likes romance fiction.
As usual Sundari Venkatraman has managed to wow me. How does it do it time and again? This is her 50th book and none of her plots overlap. Her characters are all fresh and unique and you fall in love with every one of them. I love Haasini. She is young, bold, adventurous and totally unapologetic about who she is. She makes mistakes and owns up to them without the guilt and self recrimination. Vidyut is his own man. He is determined and takes the responsibility for his own life. He does not depend on his parents for self validation either. How can one not fall in love with such characters? They are the perfect Taurean and Cancerian and they are just made for each other. The plot is different and holds one till the end, wondering how it will all sort itself out. This is another can’t be put down till you finish it book from Sundari Venkatraman.
Taurus Temptation by Sundari Venkataraman is a romantic story. The story explores the sun sign of the progonist and their personalities and weave it into a beautiful story.
The story revolves around our progonist Vidyut, a Taurus personality and Hassini, a cancer personality and how they personality played a part in them falling in love. Vidyut leave his settled job to pursue his dream of opening a coffee shop. This became an issue for her fiance and their engagement broke off. Enters Hassini. A bull headed Taurus and a loving with crab like personality cancerian. The story is a rollercoaster of emotions, one which I loved.
This is my first read from the author and I was hooked on the story line. The story was gripping, romantic and a little bit of touch erotica to finish the story line.
The language is pretty lucid and beginners friendly. The narration was done well and the story is fast paced too. It has many emotions layered artistically. It was really refreshing to read a romantic story based on the personality of that person zodiac sign. If you love astrology and romance, this book is a good read.
The story is simple and has been narrated well. The characters are realistic and well developed. The author has added the Taurean and Cancerian traits and made the story more interesting. The relationship The story has elements like family, love, jealousy, sibling rivalry that make it an interesting read.
Vidyut has just started his own coffee shop after quitting his high paid job. His parents and would be in laws were having a hard time accepting his decision when his Fiancee broke up with him. Soon after, his cafe started blooming and he met Hassini. Next, their relationship blooms through a series of ups and downs ultimately ending in a happily ever after. The storyline and narration was good but not extraordinary. There were instances of melodrama and conflict in the story. However, there are instances of eroticism in the story so it is definitely for adults only. I really enjoyed the romantic elements in the novel and recommended to everyone who loves Mills and Boons. It is more like an Indian version of Mills and Boons.
Another good one from the author. Vidyut is a metrosexual man with high regards to family values and Haasini is cute and perfect for Vidyut. Though the storyline is simple, I enjoyed the sophisticated setting of the cafe and the conflict between conservative Janani and vivacious Haasini.
I love the concept behind this series. Author gives us subtle hints about the sun signs of the characters, which adds to the entertainment quotient. A breezy and fun read..
It is the story of Vidyut and Haasini. Their sun signs are Taurus and Cancer. The sun sign traits and their personality gets them reeling towards each other. Grab this book to know more about their love and life story. A gripping short read which gives an "awwww" feel ❤️ A typical tale with steamy romance embedded in it. The writing style is admirable and it is organic too. The complications and turmoils in life is presented faithfully. A fun filled way to read this so as to relax and ponder about oneself and about relationships.
This book depicts the story of immense love between two person. The boy name Vidyut who was getting married to his arranged match broke his marriage because of his dreams. Vidyut wanted to pursue his dreams and leave the job and open coffee shop but his fiancee was not up for this so the relationship broke automatically. Later in the story a Cancer patient name Hassini who was a very successful entrepreneur entered his life. She was 8 years younger to him and he tried not to fall in love with her but eventually get into it. When everything was merry going some problems came in their lives as Hassini was having cancer. It'll be interesting to know that whether their destiny unite them together or they fall apart. Overall I liked the book and the language used is lucid. The narration and writing style is quite good and the cover page is really beautiful.
50th book 50th temptation to read again!! You and your works are splendid. Every book..mind you every book has been a happy reading. Taurus temptation is also the same lovely book.. You are the one writer who dont forget your works and dont let us forget either.. We never expected shatru of bansal series to be a relative of a character from written in stars series. Truely excellent so nice plot and so nicely written... I am as always waiting for more of your books. Thankyou for giving such lovely books.
“Love must not entreat,' she added, 'or demand. Love must have the strength to become certain within itself. Then it ceases merely to be attracted and begins to attract”. The lines as stated here are quite reflective and pertinent to the book at hand today, especially with regards to the context of the same with certain other flavors as well. Delving further into the same, the storyline revolves around the character named Vidyut who has cut off himself with an engagement and with the same, there comes the advent of another character named Hassini who happened to belong to the Cancer sign and her advent entails good deal of joyfulness in the life of Vidyut. However, from here on things take a turn and then follows all the things that remain synonymous with the term Temptation and thereby aptly suiting the title It must be noted that the genre of the literary work remains to be that of romance however it must be noted that this one is not loaded with the usual romance things but paints a good picture and has the reader engaged throughout and thereby making it a must read for everyone.
Taurus Temptation is going book to read having little Vidyut fight with his own father.. Normally sons / daughters fight with their own family and settle down aboard without having any regret to enjoy their so called freedom there .. but Vidyut is completely different and confident..
