Read Around the Rainbow | Challenges in Writing Queer Characters in Various Subgenres
It’s Read Around the Rainbow time! If you’ve missed these posts before, we’re a group of authors who get together on the last Friday of every month to blog on the same topic. This month’s topic is:
Challenges in Writing Queer Characters in Various SubgenresAt first, I didn’t really know how to tackle this topic. I see myself mainly as a writer of paranormal romance, but if we’re to check the number of titles, I have about the same amount of contemporary stories as I do paranormal, then I have ...

Wrap-Up Wednesday | June
It’s Wrap-up Wednesday time and if I’ve appeared confused about what I’ve read the last couple of months, it’s nothing compared to this. I’ve reread old books, I’ve borrowed books at the library, and I’ve spent most of my money on MF Mars needs women books (Hey, I was in the mood LOL).
So allow me a moment to scroll through my various reading apps…
This was a new-to-me story, contemporary which I don’t read too often, but lovely. It’s set in rural Australia and is...

#WhatToReadWednesday | Gay Rockstar Romances
It’s #WhatToReadWednesday time, and did you know that it’s World Day of Music today? I hardly ever read rockstar books, or books about musicians at all, but…
I might be imagining it, but I’m seeing more and more rockstar stories around, so I think it might be a trope on the way up?? Anyway here are some old ones (because it’s been years since I read a rockstar book )
Have you read the Heaven Sent series or the Indigo Knight series? They’re all very… Jet Mykles. Quick and eas...

Guest Post | How to Hook a Vampire by Holly Day
Hello, everyone! I’m here as Holly today A few days ago, How to Hook a Vampire was released. I wrote it to celebrate National Go Fishing Day which is observed on June 18th.
It isn’t so much about fishing as it is about Jameson being on the run and hiding in his uncle’s fishing cabin. The problem is that there already is someone living in the cabin. A slightly grumpy vampire named Harland.
What’s interesting with Jameson is that he can tell if you’re telling the truth or not, but only if you an...

Read Around the Rainbow | A.I. vs. Me
It’s time for the monthly Read Around the Rainbow post!!! On the last Friday of the month, we’re a group of authors who get together to blog on the same topic. This month, we’re delving into something that scares me.
A.I. vs. MeI wrote Holly’s post first, so may I suggest you read that first? Over there you can read a 400-word fated mates story I wrote, and then one A.I. wrote.
This time, I didn’t write a story. Instead, I took my fated mates story, which, since we’re in May, I wrote as a May ...

Wrap-Up Wednesday | May
It’s Wrap-Up Wednesday time and I don’t have a clue what I’ve read LOL I’ve reread a few books, DNFed a few that I won’t mention, and so on. So before I continue this post, allow me to have a look at my various reading apps
I borrowed this from the library. I believed I owned it, and maybe I do, but I couldn’t find it when I scrolled through my different ebook staches. I’m so disorganised these days. Sigh.
I love some parts of this book, and some I’m not lovin...

#WhatToReadWednesday | Gay Romance Books with Homophobia
Today it’s International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, so I figured I’d rec some books with homophobia.
This is not a theme I go hunting for when deciding what to read, but it’s present in many books, far more books than the ones I’m gonna list below. I hopped over to Goodreads M/M Romance Group and scrolled through their shelf with books listed as theme-homophobia. There were over 1000 books there, but here are a few of the ones I’ve read.
The Tin Star by J.L. LangleyIt’s ...

Guest Post | Mated to the Fire Dragon by Holly Day
Hiya! I’m here as Holly today Do you know what day it is today? It’s No Socks Day
and I wrote a story. Mated to the Fire Dragon was released on the 6th. I feel a bit overwhelmed at the moment.
If you’ve followed me for some time, you know my mother passed away back in November #fuckcancer. This is me processing that, with an added aversion to socks, dragons, and a certain blacksmith because why not?
It’s not a sad story, and no one dies, but Zale is very ill, and he is preparing to let go.
So...
