Here is new reading of one of the darkest poems in my Of Pain and Ecstasy: Collected Poems first book of poems. It was written when I was a freshman in college and is a fairly rare (for me) example of blank-verse. I suspect my book might sell better in I did not include this poem and “The Subway” in the preview readers can see prior to buying the book. I assure you, urban fear and loathing are NOT main themes in either of my books of poetry–just in two poems.
