I Didn’t Know!
So I was reading “The Local” (German news articles in English…because I am weird.) and found that a landlord tried to make his male tenants pee sitting down. I didn’t know this was an actual thing, but apparently men are now being encouraged to sit down when they pee. I can totally understand the reasoning behind this, because they tend to miss and it ruins the floors, but I seriously am shocked men actually do it. Every guy I know of goes number 1 standing up, because it is more masculine (their words not mine). They would never even consider it, unless they were drunk off their butts and couldn’t stand (even then I have my doubts). http://www.thelocal.de/20150122/court-allows-man-to-urinate-standing-up
But in finding out this new information, I found even more shocking information! There are now little devices so women can pee standing up! We are in an age where we encourage me to pee sitting down, and then women decide they want to stand up! Seriously? We are trying to break the men from the habit, so why in the world would we want to start doing it? It is insane.

#Random
I set out to use this blog for both literary purposes and random musings that come to mind. I’m still new to blogging and a little unsure of what to blog about or what I shouldn’t blog about. I’m nervous about how different things would be perceived.
It could just be my lack of people to talk to in my life, but I have a lot of weird and random thoughts in my head that I’m going to start talking about as they come. If you like them, yay, if not, a pox on your houses. Lol, but seriously if you like cool if not oh well. Can’t please everyone.
So don’t freak out if there are weird and crazy things appearing on hear from time to time.

5 CLTBRCHALLANGE15 Book Reviews: Roots, Highland Blessings, Blockade Billy, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and Earth Angel
1 Post to help a friend. Which by the way, if you read the post and sent a card or picture or whatever to the family Thank you!
Looking to the future, I expect more ASI’s and hopefully to read more books. The rest shall be a mystery. :)
The Color Thesaurus
Originally posted on Ingrid's Notes:
I love to collect words. Making word lists can help to find the voice of my story, dig into the emotion of a scene, or create variety.
One of my on-going word collections is of colors. I love to stop in the paint section of a hardware store and find new names for red or white or yellow. Having a variety of color names at my fingertips helps me to create specificity in my writing. I can paint a more evocative image in my readers mind if I describe a characters hair as the color of rust or carrot-squash, rather than red.
So for fun, I created this color thesaurus for your reference. Of course, there are plenty more color names in the world, so, this is just to get you started.
Fill your stories with a rainbow of images!

#Fail
As you can see I have failed on my 24 hours of no electronics. First I haven’t been sleeping well for the past week and a half, so I was up all night last night hoping to sleep some today and then get on with the things I had planned. Well it sort of worked. I slept the whole day. Of course I was up for a few minutes, tossed and turned, went to the bathroom and everything but couldn’t stay awake for more than five minutes, so nothing got done. After I woke up for good, I’ve just been too “blah” to want to do anything. It’s like my body is awake but my mind is half asleep. Even as I’m typing this, my mind is urging my body to sleep, but if I were to lay down I would be wide awake.
Second, I have sleep apnea meaning I stop breathing in the night and my body wakes up to start breathing again. As a result of not breathing, my body doesn’t go into a deep enough sleep all the time to be considered restful. I could sleep 12 hours a night and not get the same amount of rest a normal person would get in 8 hours. That on top of the inability to sleep, does not make for good writing. I can’t concentrate on anything for too long. It is weird, I am extremely tired but my mind feels like it is on speed, bouncing from one thing to the next.

What is a degree worth?
Originally posted on Sara C Roethle:
Ill begin this post by explaining that I have a Bachelors degree in English and Historyand I will hopefully never have to use it. Growing up I always knew that I wanted to go to a University (though my actual goal was a Masters degree, oh well), but I was never quite sure what I wanted to go to school for. In my early years I wanted to be a veterinarian, then it turned to marine biologist, then it turned to private investigator (dont know where I got that one), then it turned to an environmental lawyer, then it turned back to biology, and somehow I ended up with English. I changed my major four times during school, and ended up graduating with around 200 credit hours.
It all seems silly looking back. My final degree change happened when I knew that I was going to try making a career

Are You Putting Limitations On Yourself?
Originally posted on Aura E Martinez:
We all have so many goals, dreams, aspirations in life and this is good because it is our dreams, goals and aspirations that give us something to look forward to and it keeps us moving forward. Some dreams may seem too grand to the point that it may seem impossible. Why is this? Why is it that for some certain, dreams seem attainable while for others it may not? If you find yourself in this situation, one good question to ask is whether you are putting any limitations on yourself.
Many times you may not realize that the reason why you dont achieve your goals is because subconsciously, you may have put a limitation on yourself. Perhaps you may feel and question yourself Who am I to achieve this?. If subconsciously you are asking yourself this, you are placing yourself in a position where you are taking away your own

#Hulu Rules!
I’m a big fan of Doctor Who and until now have not been able to catch the classic episodes. Yes, at one point Netflix had them but not all of them. As far as I can tell, Hulu has all 413 episodes of the original series! I’m so excited!
