How was it working on/with Adam Warren on "Empowered"? Ever wanted to do another story from that universe?

Working with Adam was one of the highlights of my comic career. & yeah, I hope I get to work with him again. – We still email back and forth every so often.

I wrote about working off of his layouts and stuff I hid in the Emp issue here

It was really interesting to work off of layouts from someone I’d learned so much about doing layouts from studying over the years. Something I didn’t expect was how important showing facial expressions is to his work. I tend to do it much less than him– so in pages like the one below I added the inset shots of the characters because the 1st panel changed it from the side view of his layouts to just the backs of their heads.

Is there any chance that the entire King City series will get a comixology release? Currently the only part available is the Tokyopop Volume 1. I've got paper copies and tpb copies, but I'd buy a digital copy too, so I can read it at work, or while sittin

Heavy traffic is a good one. I got to meet Bakshi years ago – the first thing he said was “I just threw my back out in the crapper!” he was like a character out of one of his movies. He talked about taking me to meet Frazetta, which never happened but the idea of it was certainly exciting.

The Tokyopop stuff with King city is a mess right now, that I’ve been trying to sort out. I wish I had a better answer for you. but either way thanks for getting the print copies of it.
