I'm sorry, I'm not understanding the "transphobe-supporting shit" comment (sorry about language, but I believe in direct quoting). Is someone stating that YOU are transphobic? because I find that extremely difficult to comprehend. Or are they referring to
That was someone upset about me publishing an artist (Onta/Doxy) in the ISLAND book I edit. –they were accusing him of being transphobic. Because of his porn work. (& and some internet shit)
I find the conversation really valuable but don’t think it’s necessary to demonize any one artist.

do you know if Island#1 is still in stock anywhere in vancouver? I went by RX the other day and they were out.
I just dropped off 5 more copies at RX on Friday.(& drew pictures in them)
Hey Brandon, this might be a stupid question, but, I'm visiting Vancouver and I was curious about what comic shops/book shops should I check out. I know about Lucky's, but where else?
Lucky’s is great.
the place I go to the most is RX comics. (me & James Stokoe did chalk art in the window) and I drew it in my book King city.

Click the image to read a fan translation of my favorite comic, The Journey of Shuna by Hayao Miyazaki. Made in 1983, pre-Ghibli
Thank you Chris Artiga-Oliver and Brandon Graham for posting this.

Liked this movie. So I drew this. It’s kind of really really dark movie.
I wanted to point out that Sarah had a Birthday yesterday and she is one of my favorite people. Sooo if you don’t know her work I highly recommend looking at her art here and her writing here.

Just read 8House:Arclight #1, I’m into it. I don’t know what will happen but I hope there is fighting.
Oh wow
So am I a bad person for getting off to work from artists like Onta/Doxy because it's not a realistic representation of a person's body? I mean, an artist can literally draw anything they can think of. Why should it have to be 100% accurate? I jack off to
I think a lot of the criticism about with that type of porn is that
hyper-sexualized, fantasy becomes the vast majority of the way trans women are shown in media.- Soooo I certainly understand the interest in speaking about it critically and how it effects real people’s lives. (Although I should point out that most of the Onta/Doxy stuff I’ve seen is not trans porn but gay furry work)
I don’t think there needs to be a judgement call on what kind of lines on paper you enjoy, but I think it’s also just worth listening to the people who the ideas reinforced by these erotic images effect. So I guess I’d say it’s a problem that there aren’t more types of representation of trans women not just shown as
hyper-sexualized
out there to balance it out.
Like whatever lines on paper you like, but it’s also ok to consider how you might feel if those lines on paper were how everyone saw you.
