Are you a furry? You have a fursona, you know that thing you draw yourself as.
That is a clear almost photo realistic portraiture of how I actually look…

you heard the rumor emerald city con's pushed out local comic artists in favor of corporate interest?
I know that Jim Demonakos, who founded ECCC sold it to Reedpop. the company that runs
New York Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration, C2E2, the UFC Fan Expo, et cetera. et cetera.
I’ve talked to Jim and his wife Andrea about it. I think their goal was to bring the kind of excellence brought to Emerald city to more shows. With things like the Cosplay is not consent & the all gender restrooms. (& hopefully the separation between comics & other media that’s helped make ECCC so rad in it’s comics focus)
I’m from Seattle and know a lot of people there but I haven’t heard anything about local comic artists having problems with the show.
I have a lot of faith in Jim D and I think he’ll do right by people as long as he’s involved with ECCC.

Brandon, about a mounth ago I saw that the cover for island 6 has furries on them, or anthropomorphic animals. Now, this has been a big thing lately on whether furries are bad or good, because some people think its some wierd fetish and everyone else think
I like a lot of furry comics and know some really amazing artists who make that kind of work. I think it just became something that people like to shit on. I’m sure some artists use it for fetishistic work, & sure why not. I’m all for people drawing whatever they wanna draw.
I think the people who dress up in fursuits often get tied to the artists who draw furry characters– I dunno if it’s the same scene but I don’t see any reason to care what consenting adults want to do.
