Wut is your favorite studio ghibli movie?

In the past I think it was Porco Roso, but these days maybe Spirited away or Howl’s.

My all time favorite Miyazaki project is his Nausicaa manga. The movie version of it doesn’t go nearly as deep as the comic does. I think it’s an amazing series with one of the best endings I’ve read.

If you haven't seen the new alien movie Arrival, I recommend it. It's a cool take on human-alien contact, in a Twilight Zone sort of way. I'd be interested to know your thoughts on it, since you have good taste in science fiction.

Yeah, yeah, I thought it was a really great movie.

I was so happy to see a movie with interesting science based on the real idea of how language does change how your brain maps itself.

The contrast between this and movies like Lucy is sooo huge– (Lucy is based off of some insanely bad science that humans use only of their brains– they dont)

Also I really liked the aliens in The Arrival. and the way the story was set up.

"Half way though I decided this wasn’t a real question" oh so you mean like much in the same way you and your circlejerk think that trans men and dfab/nb people aren't real people and that [white] trans women are the only ones that fucking matter? lmfao sh

Dear person dealing with some emotional shit that has nothing to do with me,

Chillll the fuck out.

I’ve seen that you just blanket ask the same question to multiple people that draw. (or maybe just multiple people?) Is it that you don’t see them drawing trans dudes in their work? Maybe if you’re expecting real engagement try not to sound like a swearing spam bot.

Either way, you seem upset about things and that sucks. I think calling out injustice is important but you’ve gotta be clear on where you’re aiming.

now LOOK at these raccoons. Look at these sweet babies.

Some sketchbook stuff from when I was Italy.

All in all it was one of the best cons I’d ever been to, just the start of it was weird.
