Hi, I just wanted to say that you're one of my favourite authors, for starters. Secondly, I have a question that I couldn't find an answer to in any of your previous asks. I was just curious where you got your inspiration for the Darkest Powers and Darknes

My inspiration came from a few sources… My daughter was that age, and I was only writing adult novels at the time and she was into paranormal fantasy so I wanted to write something for her. I was also finding that as paranormal YA became popular, I was picking up some very young readers for my adult books and wanted to give THEM something more *cough* age-appropriate too. So it wasn’t that I was inspired by a story idea so much as inspired by younger readers (including my kid) to want to set a teen story in my Otherworld.
