The Top 5 Reasons Why I’m Endorsing Cthulhu For President In 2016

Cthulhu for presidentWell, it’s time to get off the fence.

I’m officially endorsing Cthulhu for president of the United States in 2016. The decision was simple, really.

Allow me to explain my decision, because I know that what readers really want is not to have artists entertain them, but rather, for every author, actor, director, and other artsy-fartsy typein the universe to lecture them incessantly on their pet political, religious, and cultural issues.

So, here are my top 5 reasons why I’m endorsing Cthulhu fo...

My Fall 2016 Writing Schedule

So, what novels do I have planned for release in the foreseeable future?

Junkyard Druid new adult urban fantasyWell, I just finished editing my next novel, Junkyard Druid, the first installment in an urban fantasy series that features Colin from Counteraction. It takes place before the apocalypse, so it’s a bit less dark than the Scratch Sullivan series, and it includes more humor and romance as well.

The book starts with Colin reeling after a bitter tragedy (I know, I said “less dark,” but it gets better), trying to get his life...

THEM Gabby’s Run To Release In One Week!

Them Gabby's Run a paranormal post-apocalyptic novel

The fourth book in my paranormal apocalypse series, THEM: Gabby’s Run, is set to release in one week. Right now it’s with my layout editor/interior designer, so I should have both the final ebook and paperback versions ready for Kindle and print by the end of next week.

So what can readers expect with this next installment in the series?

This novel is a minor departure from the previous books in the series. The story is told from the perspective of Gabby Mendoza, one of Scratch Sullivan’s si...

On Finding Typos and Grammatical Errors in Indie Novels…

Yoda gives punctuation adviceIt’s a criticism that is commonly directed at indie novels and novelists; that indie novels are rife with typos, grammatical errors, and misspellings. And, to a great extent, it’s a fair criticism.

I obviously support indie novelists, and I read indie books more often than I read those from traditionally published authors. So believe me, I am keenly aware of the shortcomings and failings of my fellow indie writers.

Not that I’m immune; far from it. Although I spend considerable time editing m...

THEM Invasion Hits #1 In Genre On Amazon!

I got a nice surprise last night upon logging into Amazon. Typically, I check my sales rank and stats a few times a day, just to see what my books are doing, and to determine if I need to adjust anything marketing-wise to get my books in front of more readers.

Late last night I decided to check in and find out how Invasion and Incursion were doing and saw this when I searched for my name:

THEM Invasion best seller in genre Western Horror

In case you missed it, what got me pumped was that little orange “Best Seller” tag above the listing for...

I Just Finished Writing THEM Counteraction!

paranormal apocalypse novel THEM IncursionHey folks, great news!

I just finished writing THEM: Counteraction, the third book in the series. Weighing in at a little over 71,000 words, it’s a fairly meaty read, but not as long as Incursion. Even so, it should be plenty to satisfy all you Scratch Sullivan fans for a while…

So what’s in store for you inside Incursion?

Well, suffice it to say that Scratch is finally going to get his showdown with the Corridor werewolf pack– and he gets intoa serious scrape with one hell of anasty vampire....

Dying Light The Following Review

Dying Light The Following Review

So, I just got through playing the DLC for Dying Light, The Following. Man, what a trip.

First off, like every other zombie video game head out there, I thought that Dying Light was the best damned zombie apocalypse game, ever. Granted, not much had come out to match it in years past.

And to support that claim, I submit the following (see what I did there – slick right?):

Dead Island 1 and 2 were pretty good, but the FPS sucked in those games (I know they kind of improved the mechanics in t...
