bon matin!
a first look at #ransom
♥♥
The front door opens as I flick what’s left of Sonny’s cigarette, and my boy comes out holding his girl’s hand. Smiling up into his cheeks under his sunglasses, fresh haircut all sex-fucked up, he looks a little younger and more himself.
He’s as short as Violet, as blonde as the light coming through the trees, and as loose as can be in his walk. All of this bullshit aside, he’s my brother, and he doesn’t need to justify a thing.
We go back too far for that.
“What are we waiting for?” He asks, tucking conceited but complacent into her car with a smirk.
My head’s dizzy and my mouth tastes like settling, but my heart thumps steadily behind my ribs as D strides toward the passenger side of the ‘66, grinning at me over the roof of it.
“Let’s go get this motherfucker.”
