Tink Magoo is bad at reviews

Well. I feel like my words are too uneducated and inadequate to write a review for this book. I feel like that kid in every school play that stands on the stage picking their nose oblivious to the fact that there are a hundred people watching.

I feel like an uneducated peanut after reading this. Really, I do.

This was basically one very long, wordy, slightly confusing sex scene that required 100% of my concentration just to understand what all the sentences meant. You could say the writing was
Oh WOW! Wow, wow, wow... I'm stunned. This story *sigh* this story is lyrical brilliance. Reading Light and Wine is like hearing beautiful music. The lines just float off the page and sing to me. The words in this seductive story are woven together so perfectly that I ended up reading and rereading paragraphs over and over to just let them sink deep inside me. This novella is a taboo lovers dream. It encompasses several different taboos all at once. The illicitness of this relationship ignites ...more

I can't form thoughts, I'm so amazed.

The emotions seeped right through the pages. I was drowning in words—I don't even know where I went. Couldn't recall breathing or blinking. I was just…gone, captured, and I… surrendered my mind to this beautiful masterpiece.

"Forgive me, Father," the dearest person in the world to me begins with a voice light enough to float on. "For I have sinned."

! Wow wow wow wow Pure brilliance. Like reading poetry, simply beautiful! So sorry this was a novella, would love to read more from this author. She seems to have that little extra. She took a taboo subject and turned it into something utterly stunning and beautiful.

The writing was heartbreakingly beautiful and phenomenal! Had it been longer I'd give it much much better ranking. This author really does have the little something extra I'm looking for and she's high on my list of authors too

This book was simply not my cup of tea. Am in person who goes to church regularly and church is close to me.

The concept was acceptable but whole writing with verses was totally wrong!!!
In the way, I just felt the author disrespected the words of Lord.

It might just be me.

Is it selfish to rate Light and Wine a 4* simply because it wasn't long enough? And I'm a greedy bitch? Hmmmm? Let me think on that. While I do, let me just say or more accurately, write, that behind this nom de plume stand one (this was a joint writing effort, unfortunately I'm not familiar with the other author) of the best writers I have ever read and regardless of what she calls herself, hers is a talent that can't be hidden; she bleeds between each line of this short but heart-clenching ...more

Before I begin, let me just put out there that this book isn't going to be for everybody. Some people have hard limits when it comes to mixing religion in with romance, and that's fine, I get it. Then there are those who like the forbidden romances, the taboo stories, if you are one of them- read on and then go pick up this book!!

The love we carry flows with His divinity. It's a gift and it's more than strong. It's tempting.

What’s set Marc apart forever is also what’s brought him and Lacie

I truly adored this novella. The love and passion between Marc and Lacie is innocent and sacred, while retaining a beautiful heat. It's romantic without being insipid. I hope to see much more from this incredible author collaboration.

I really wanted to write a review that is worthy of this story, what I realize is that either there are no words that is suitable for such brilliance OR I am just not worthy to write it. I first heard about this book last night in an event on Facebook I was attending. I had just said minutes prior to this that I wished there were more books regarding this topic but I felt people were intimidated to take on the real meaning of love in humans without the labels society attached to them. The ...more

I wish this had been longer than a novella, however I feel like the novella was a perfect bubble and to write a full book we would have had to experience the less than beautiful world outside the perfection that was this book bubble.
This book exudes love and although I'm sure it will hit a nerve with some it simply is a poetically beautiful piece of writing that expresses how love feels and not the judgements we make!

I adored this book! Highly recommend for lovers of romance, it was so charming. And a short read, which is good, because you won't be able to put it down before you are done with it!

Such a beautiful take on true love in it's purest form. I read this entire book in less than two and a half hours... such a sweet, beautiful read.

Loved Light & Wine.

This story. It's not long, but I had to force myself to finish it. The continued use of latin during the sex scenes (which is what the story is, basically) felt really contrived and kept taking me out of it. Also, a lot of the language felt nonsensical. The combination of those two things made this tough to push through for me personally. Stories are supposed to be something you lose yourself in, not something you have to force yourself to get through to the end. Not my cup of tea at all.
