Woman Who Faced a Tragedy
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1
“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
When a friend received some devastating news about a loved one who had chosen to walk down a dangerous and tragic pathway, her response to the tragedy was even in the midst of the sadness utterly inspiring and bears a message for us all.
She did three things that I believe would be awesome, instrumental, and...

Ministry Doggy Update
It was right amidst what would become about 20 years of dog rescue work that I found myself wandering into people’s yards in search of stray dogs and trying to talk to people about the dogs only to find I would talk to them about the Lord Jesus Christ.
Little did I know I had evangelism in my very bones and that the Lord would call me into full-time ministry and one day send me out on the road full-time to do streets ministry and write, publish, and distribute Gospel tracts and a devotional m...

Lara’s Amazing Moving Testimony
“For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.” Psalm 91:11-12
The last thing in the world I needed after 1.5 years being out on the road full-time for the Lord and ministry including the most recent 6 months in New York City was to receive the loving help of two brand new church friends in loading up my car, the 5 special needs and senior rescued dogs, their wheelchairs on a bike rac...

Slow Obedience: A Doggone Lesson
“Teach me to do Your will,
For You are my God;
Your Spirit is good.
Lead me in the land of uprightness.” Psalm 143:10
“I don’t know what’s going on with you Gracie,” I told one of my precious ministry dogs one morning.
She had been dumped at a gas station years ago, hit by two cars on the same day, and by the time she was finally rescued six weeks later, her broken bone had already set in place.
Sure, she was slightly disabled, sometimes a little uncomfortable perhaps in her unusual gait, but...

Strength for the Moment
“Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” Isaiah 41:10
I started this very long day of packing everything up to prepare for my next two moves for ministry work, one right after another, with the Lord giving me the message about needing, seeking, and receiving His strength day by day only to discover the Lord in His usual incredibly creative way of placing messages on my heart...
Don’t Eat the Poop
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing…Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt a...
Are You Out of God’s Will?
“My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor detest His correction;
For whom the Lord loves He corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights.” Proverbs 3:11-12
When you’re out of God’s will, get back in it. Are you out of God’s will? The very best way to know is this. If what you’re doing doesn’t line up with God’s Word, the Bible, you’re out of His will. What if you’re not sure? His Spirit brings conviction, correction, and chastening, and ultimately leads us to repentanc...
