Mystic Insights – No. 8 – Don’t Let the Body Limit Love
As Mystic Insights – No. 7 – The Spiritual Mystic illustrated, we reside within the Divine Source of All and therefore, all separation between us and others is an illusion. A key hindrance for us to understand that accurately is the human suit we wear during our various incarnations – the body. It houses our spirit and allows us to experience material reality while we learn our lessons on love in the school of Earth. Ironically, it also makes that learning process more difficult as the body creates an artificial barrier to understanding the energetic interconnection between all life.
A small section in the A Course in Miracles* (Chapter 18, The Little Garden), the channeled reading by psychologist Helen Schucman from the mid-1960’s, beautifully illustrates this hindrance towards Unity Consciousness and the pathway to becoming whole again:
“It is only the awareness of the body that makes love seem limited. For the body is a limit on love. The belief in limited love was its origin, and it was made to limit the unlimited. Think not that is merely allegorical, for it was made to limit you. Can you who see yourself within a body know yourself as an idea? Everything you recognize you identify with externals, something outside itself. You cannot even think of God without a body, or in some form you think you recognize.
The body cannot know. And while you limit your awareness to its tiny senses, you will not see the grandeur that surrounds you. God cannot come into a body, nor can you join Him there. Limits on love will always seem to shut Him out, and keep you apart from Him. The body is a tiny fence around a little part of a glorious and complete idea. It draws a circle, infinitely small, around a very little segment of Heaven, splintered from the whole, proclaiming that within it is your kingdom, where God can enter not.
Within this kingdom the ego rules, and cruelly. And to defend this little speck of dust it bids you fight against the universe. This fragment of your mind is such a tiny part of it that, could you but appreciate the whole, you would see instantly that it is like the smallest sunbeam to the sun, or like the faintest ripple on the surface of the ocean. In its amazing arrogance, this tiny sunbeam has decided it is the sun; this almost imperceptible ripple hails itself as the ocean. Think how alone and frightened is this little thought, this infinitesimal illusion, holding itself apart against the universe. The sun becomes the sunbeam’s “enemy” that would devour it, and the ocean terrifies the little ripple and wants to swallow it.
Yet neither sun nor ocean is even aware of all this strange and meaningless activity. They merely continue, unaware that they are feared and hated by a tiny segment of themselves. Even that segment is not lost to them, for it could not survive apart from them. And what it thinks it is no way changes its total dependence on them for its being. Its whole existence still remains in them. Without the sun the sunbeam would be gone; the ripple without the ocean is inconceivable.
Such is the strange position in which those in a world inhabited by bodies seems to be. Each body seems to house a separate mind, a disconnected thought, living alone and in no way joined to the Thought by which it was created. Each tiny fragment seems to be self-contained, needing another for some things, but by no means totally dependent on its one Creator for everything; needing the whole to give any meaning, for by itself it does mean nothing. Nor has it any life apart and by itself.
Like to the sun and ocean your Self continues, unmindful that this tiny part regards itself as you. It is not missing it; it could not exist if it were separate, nor would the whole be whole without it. It is not a separate kingdom, ruled by an idea of separation from the rest. Nor does a fence surround it, preventing it from joining the rest, and keeping it apart from its Creator. This little aspect is no different from the whole, being continuous with it and at one with it. It leads no separate life, because its life is the oneness in which its being was created.
Do not accept this little, fenced-off aspect as yourself. The sun and ocean are as nothing beside what you are. The sunbeam sparkles only in the sunlight, and the ripple dances as it rests upon the ocean. Yet in neither sun nor ocean is the power that rests in you. Would you remain within your tiny kingdom, a sorry king, a bitter ruler of all that he surveys, who looks on nothing yet who would still die to defend it? This little self is not your kingdom. Arched high above it and surrounding it with love is the glorious whole, which offers all its happiness and deep content to every part. The little aspect that you think you set apart is no exception.
Love knows no bodies, and reaches to everything created like itself. Its total lack of limit is its meaning. It is completely impartial in its giving, encompassing only to preserve and keep complete what it would give. In your tiny kingdom you have so little! Should it not, then, be there that you would call on love to enter? Look at the desert – dry and unproductive, scorched and joyless – that makes up your little kingdom. And realize the life and joy that love would bring to it from where it comes and where it would return with you.
The Thought of God surrounds your little kingdom, waiting at the barrier you built to come inside and shine upon the barren ground. See how life spring up everywhere! The desert becomes a garden, green and deep and quiet, offering rest to those who lost their way and wander in the dust. Give them a place of refuge, prepared by love for them where once a desert was. And everyone you welcome will bring love with him from Heaven for you. They enter one by one into this holy place, but they will not depart as they had come, alone. The love they brought with them will stay with them, as it will stay with you. And under its beneficence your little garden will expand, and reach out to everyone who thirsts for living water, but has grown too weary to go on alone.
Go out and find them, for they bring your Self with them. And lead them gently to your quiet garden, and receive their blessing there. So will it grow and stretch across the desert, leaving no lonely little kingdoms locked away from love, and leaving you inside. And you will recognize yourself, and see your little garden gently transformed into the Kingdom of Heaven, with all the Love of its Creator shining upon it.
The holy instant is your invitation to love to enter into your bleak and joyless kingdom, and to transform it into a garden of peace and welcome. Love’s answer is inevitable. It will come because you came without the body, and interposed no barriers to interfere with its glad coming. In the holy instant, you ask of love only what it offers everyone, neither less nor more. Asking for everything , you will receive it. And your shining Self will lift the tiny aspect that you tried to hide from Heaven straight to Heaven. No part of of love calls on the whole in vain. No son of God remains outside his Fatherhood.
Be sure of this; love has entered your special relationship and entered fully at your weak request. You do not recognize that love has come, because you have not yet let go of all the barriers you hold against your brother. And you and he will not be able to give love welcome separately. You could no more know God alone than He knows you without your brother. But together you could no more be unaware of love than love could know you not, or fail to recognize itself in you.
You have reached the end of an ancient journey, not realizing yet that it is over. You are still worn and tired, and the desert’s dust still seems to cloud your eyes and keep you sightless. Yet He Whom you welcomed has come to you, and would welcome you. He has waited long to give you this. Receive it now of Him, for He would have you know Him. Only a little wall of dust still stands between you and your brother. Blow on it lightly and with happy laughter, and it will fall away. And walk into the garden love has prepared for both of you.”

“A Course in Miracles (also referred to as ACIM or the Course) is a book written and edited by Helen Schucman, with portions transcribed and edited by William Thetford, containing a curriculum to bring about what it calls a “spiritual transformation”. The book consists of three sections entitled “Text”, “Workbook” and “Manual for Teachers”. A Course in Miracles was written as a collaborative venture between Schucman and Thetford. In 1965 Schucman began her professional career at a medical center as Thetford’s research associate. When their weekly office meetings became more contentious, Thetford concluded that “there must be another way”. Schucman believed that this speech acted as a stimulus, triggering a series of inner experiences that were understood by her as visions, dreams, and heightened imagery, along with an “inner voice” which she identified as Jesus (interestingly, Schucman was Jewish by background and had no prior experience with Christianity). She said that on October 21, 1965, she believed that the “inner voice” told her: “This is a Course in Miracles, please take notes.” Schucman said that the writing made her very uncomfortable, though it never seriously occurred to her to stop. The next day, she explained the events of her “note taking” to Thetford. To her surprise, Thetford encouraged her to continue the process. He also offered to assist her in typing out her notes as she read them to him. The transcription the next day repeated itself regularly for many years to come. In 1972, the dictation of the first three sections was completed but the dictation of the last two sections of the material lasted until November 1977.” ~ Wikipedia
In my opinion, A Course in Miracles is one of the key texts to understand in a modern day spiritual quest. It is a substantial and challenging work, so the appropriate investment needs to be made. There are many ACIM study groups around the country that meet to discuss the book and you may find that an interesting option. Also, new-age author Marianne Williams has written a number of very accessible books about the concepts in ACIM and they may serve as a good introduction – A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of “A Course in Miracles” – is one of her best known books on this subject.
Here are some interesting YouTube Resources on ACIM: Marianne Williamson – Return to Love audiobook – studying a course in miracles ; A Course in Miracles Helen Schucman Audiobook Part 1 ; Ken Gorman – A Course in Miracles – The Simplest Journey in the World

2016 Election Postscript
2016 Election Postscript:
As Einstein said, “No Problem Can Be Solved at the Same Level of Consciousness That Created It.” Using darkness to defeat another form of darkness just doesn’t work. All it does is create more darkness. Only the Light can illuminate the Dark. This election has been a painful dramatization of this Universal Law. When one compromises the Truth in order to obtain illusory “pragmatic” personal and societal gains by choosing “the lesser of two evils”, one is left personally compromised and with little else that is sustainable over the long term.
Consciousness – awareness, knowledge, wisdom, truth – requires work and being completely honest with ourselves. In a world where every word of our public leaders are professionally scripted to provide the exact “image” and “‘messaging” that is determined to produce a specific result, only by constantly asking questions ourselves and seeking information from a wide variety of sources outside of the “approved” ones, can we hope to uncover the Truth.
Over the course of this election, many tried to provide to the public, insight into the truth about candidates, parties, and government actions – Wikileaks, Snowden, Government Whistle Blowers, and Alternative Media – in order to counteract the subterfuge being provided by the mainstream press, and the election participants themselves. Unfortunately, most did not care to listen, did not know the information existed, or could not comprehend what was being said. Their personal biases, fears, focus on personal care-abouts, and lack of awareness kept them from seeing things as they truly are. So the cycle begins again. Will we “who should know better” repeat our mistake, double-down and just “fight harder” – clinging strongly to the misguided notion that “out-badding the bad guys” in our tactics is the way to achieve victory next time?
Hopefully not. Perhaps we need a new definition of Victory…Infact, why not listen to the young people who “not knowing the hard realities of life…” bravely chose candidates representing Truth over Darkness in this election cycle – even if it meant ultimately not casting a vote at all and instead making a clear request for new societal systems based on Truth, Respect, and Love for all humanity and the Planet. Our youngest voters are experiencing the Consciousness of Unity, not Separation. They have moved past “pragmatic” approaches and the “turning of a blind eye” to unethical and illegal behavior of our government and corporate leaders on all sides of the political spectrum. They are the one’s who have truly understood Einstein’s message – only the Truth can solve problems and create solutions, everything else is an unsustainable illusion.

Mystic Insights – No. 7 – The Spiritual Mystic
The Spiritual Mystic
We’ve come to know in the 21st century, that how something is packaged, what type of container it is in, and the context it is viewed or consumed, matters to how we understand or experience that thing. The same can be said for our spiritual or religious experiences. In this regard, a Mystic – a person who believes in the possibility of transcending ordinary human knowledge by direct communication with the Divine – experiences spirituality differently than most traditional religious approaches because of the differences in their contextual relationship to the Divine itself.
The Divine, for a Mystic, is not something that is outside of themselves – something or someone who sits away at some great distance. The Divine for a Mystic is in fact within them and they (and everyone and everything in creation) is part of the Divine Creation and therefore interconnected.
The chart above gives a high level comparison of the Mystic view of Spirituality to more standard orthodox religious views of The Source, the Divine Creator, or God. As can be seen, the Mystic views the Source as the creator of all, therefore the Divine Circle encompasses everything – as it is creating everything and therefore, everything, is a part of it. Anything therefore inside of the Creation, is also a part of it, and intimately connected to everything else. There is no separation between any parts of the Creator or its Creations. This understanding leads to an awakening of Unity and a grasp of the Holistic nature of all reality. The Creator and its Creations are seamlessly connected.
The standard religious view, tends to look at the world differently. By definition of putting God or the Divine as a “separate” being, creates a context that makes everything in creation a separate item that does not necessarily have any inherent underlying interconnection. This view, unfortunately then leads to natural (intended and un-intended) distortions of thinking such as Us. Vs. Them, the Divine as separate, aloof, or dangerous, tribal mentality, and the acceptance of “middle-men” – those who can bridge the gap between “separate” entities in order to connect to the “remote” Divine (usually for a price, of course…).
The Kingdom of Heaven is within You …
The mystic view naturally leads one to Love and Unity. Everything and Everyone is part of, within, and created by one entity – the Divine Source. The standard model of reality, leads naturally to fear, hate, and competition. This is because the “other entities” are “outside” of you, including the Divine. And, with our five senses limited to seeing only 1% of all electromagnetic frequencies – we are unable to see the “invisible” linkages that connect us all. The standard model thus leads one into duality – the illusion of “us vs. them”.
The Mystic comes to realize there is no “them”, it’s all Us. If it’s all Us, then hating someone else, hurting them, or taking advantage of them (it’s just business…), becomes unthinkable. Would you find it reasonable for your left arm to “hate” your right arm? Of course not, you know they are part of the same entity, same organism. That’s what humanity is. One organism, one interconnected unit, one consciousness.
Great Mystics through the Ages
Every major religious tradition has elements of Mysticism within it or proponents of a mystic approach to their tradition. The Christians have had the French Priest Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and American Trappist Monk Thomas Merton. And of course Jesus himself – whose mystical thinking through which the Gnostic Gospels found in 1945 in Egypt describe so well. The Muslims have had the great poet and Islamic scholar Rumi, the Jews have the Mystical Teachings of the Kabbalah, and the Buddhists by definition of their core teachings take a mystical approach to life and modern day Zen teachers such as Thich Nhat Hahn continue that till today. The Chinese have had Lao Tsu, and the Hindus of course have had many mystic gurus over the last few thousand years, and in recent times Ramakrishna and Ramana Maharshi stand out. (We are fortunate today to have many wonderful teachers of mystic non-duality living among us. I’ve put down a few of them for you in the recommended resources below.)
Science Aligns with Mysticism
The Mystic view aligns squarely with what Quantum Science uncovered nearly 100 years ago – that everything in our universe, including us, is at the sub-atomic level, pure energetic vibrational frequency. Thus, as energy in an open system has no boundaries, everything and everyone, is interconnected. All energy has an infinite set of possibilities of turning into some material state (depending upon the energetic frequency arrived at) and the act of observing – having a thought, putting attention on something. We therefore are choosing our reality from a palette of infinite possibilities based upon our thoughts. We can do this as everything is interconnected and unified – our reality can thus seamlessly change and be created. Therefore, we and everything in our world are part of a holistic unified fabric.
The Life of a Mystic in the Modern World
Everything in the world can be viewed through the mystic lens very simply – does it create separation, or does it create unity? Only Unity, Wholeness, Oneness, is the Truth. All else is a temporary and unsustainable illusion. So no matter what the subject, a political philosophy, a business or product, all can be judged as Truth promoting, or elements of the “Divide and Conquer” philosophy. Does something promote and foster the creation of the greatest good for the greatest number, or is it an Ego-Driven approach that seeks to serve a small number at the expense of the vast majority of others? By adopting the mindset or philosophy in question, does one integrate with all, or does it lead to separating out, comparing, isolating? Does whatever solution is being considered require or lead to some being taken advantage of or injured in order for some others to benefit?
The Fractured Mind and Soul – Divide and Conquer
It doesn’t take much time to notice that our society is set up to promote Separation. One may be temped to think it’s arrived at this state by accident. To some extent yes. But the Truth Seeker will come to know that there are those that are very motivated for us not to realize the Mystical view of Life. For to control a people, or an entire planet, they need to Divide (Separate) so that they can Conquer (control and profit). If we as a planet understood our inherent interconnectedness, their game would be over. They know this very well, so every element of our society is constructed to foster separation – business, sports, religion, science, education – all promote the idea of winners and losers, haves and have-nots, within the circle and outside the circle. Even Medicine can be viewed as approaching health either through a holistic approach that seeks to get to the root cause of an illness, or one that is based on looking at the patient as a collection of isolated parts and treating symptoms rather than understanding the systemic interconnections of the whole person and promoting true healing. Ultimately, we who participate in all these various areas of society, inadvertently support and perpetuate these systems of separation – though simultaneously we may want exactly the opposite of what they achieve.
The mystic strives to see the connectedness in all aspects of his or her physical reality. Though objects, appear to be separate, the mystic understands that the separation is an illusion meant to fool the senses. A device merely created to experience emanations of form manifesting from the infinite possibilities of the mind of the Divine Source. The varied forms are meant to be enjoyed and savored, not pushed against and abused. That would be like one leaf of a tree attacking another leaf. To the contrary, differences are appreciated and valued. They provide the opportunity to experience the Divine Source in all its forms, for all of the differences are also part of us. Certainly, some may resonate more strongly with us than others, but in the end, all are valued and cared for.
How Do You Adopt a Mystic Approach to Reality?
You go within – and the best way to do that is through regular, daily mediation. When we meditate regularly and learn to still the mind, we can tap into the Divine Source, which is the space in-between our thoughts – the source of infinite wisdom and knowledge. After some time we come to realize that if we are inside of the creator and we can directly connect to that Source, then the creative source energy is working through us and everyone. We are all then co-creators with the Divine Source and with everything else in creation. We are not separate entities banging about within a system of limited resources. The Divine Creation is infinite, which means there are infinite possibilities. We can tap into that if we allow the creative force to flow through us unimpeded – by our negative free-will thoughts, biases, and toxic material and electromagnetic hindrances to our physical body.
What that implies is that we need cleansing of our energetic body in order to strongly connect to the Divine Source and achieve the full power of Mystic Co-Creation with the Divine. That’s the topic of the next post…
Wishing you much Love and Light,

Earthing – The Most Important Health Discovery Ever
Earthing: The Most Important Health Discovery Ever! by Clint Ober, Dr. Stephen Sinatra, and Martin Zucker.
The premise of Earthing or Grounding is that our bodies are electrical systems and just as our electrical appliances need to be grounded (to remove excess electical charge), so does the body for optimal health and reduced inflammation. From the book:
We are learning that the Earth’s electrical energy maintains the order of our own bodily frequencies just as a conductor controls the coherence and cadence of an orchestra. We all live and function electrically on an electrical planet. We are each of us a collection of dynamic electrical circuits in which trillions of cells constantly transmit and receive energy in the course of their programmed biochemical reactions. Think of them as microscopic electronic machines. The movement of nutrients and water into the cells is regulated by electric fields, and each type of cell has a frequency range in which it operates. Your heart, brain, nervous system, muscles, and immune system are prime examples of electrical subsystems operating within your bioelectrical body. The fact is , all of your movements, behaviors, and actions are energized by electricity.
The earth’s surface is full of negatively charged electrons. Your body on the other hand, has excess positively charged free radicals. When you touch the earth with your bare skin, you allow the earth to siphon off those positively charged free radicals. Free radicals (the reason why we try to eat foods high in anti-oxidant properties) are what cause inflammation in the body and inflammation is what is now thought to be one of the major culprits behind many diseases including heart disease and cancer.
Humans used to be naturally grounded when we used to walk barefoot and sleep on the ground. Now of course, we rarely ever come into direct contact with the earth, except for a week or two a year when we go on vacation and walk on the beach or have a picnic in the park and take off our shoes and walk on the grass. So a simple solution is to just walk barefoot on the earth more often. That of course may not be convenient, so there are grounding pads and sheets that you can buy (a simple wire is run from the pad or sheet to the grounded circuit in any electrical outlet) and you can enjoy the benefits of grounding indoors all year round.

Louise Diamond and A Systems Approach to Peacebuilding
Though the extreme chaos present in the world today is deeply troubling, it is also a sign of dramatic change, if managed correctly, would usher in a much better world for all of us. However, no significant change of a complex system occurs without first increasing the entropy within that system and loosening rigidly fixed elements. It is that process that allows the opportunity for creating new and more beneficial aspects of that system or replacing the system all together.
This is the point we have arrived at today in virtually every aspect of our society – politics, finance, healthcare, science, environment, education, spirituality, and more. We are at an inflection point where critical decisions and conscious choices for our future must be made. In order to navigate those choices and decisions well, our own high level principles need to be aligned with truth, wholeness, and interconnection.
Systems Thinker and Activist, Louise Diamond put down thoughts on just this subject in a book chapter from 1997 titled A Systems Approach to Peacebuilding. The book was titled Beyond Win-Win but was unfortunately never completed. Regardless, the chapter is a brilliant exposition on crafting a more enlightened and saner world. Here is a section with particularly poignant insights:
“The search for the building blocks of matter, or life itself, has led to the astounding realizations that matter is energy in motion; that life is process as well as substance; that consciousness is an inherent and critical component of any living system; and that everything is connected through a vast set of interdependent webs or networks.
This revolution in science has led to a shift in thinking as radical as the Copernican discovery of the Sun rather than the Earth as the center of our solar system. It is as big a change for the human family as the Iron Age, the Industrial Revolution and the Age of Information Technology all rolled into one, for it re-orders how we think about the nature of reality itself, of everything in our world and in our lives.
(Fritjof) Capra says further…
The paradigm that is now receding has dominated our culture for several hundred years, during which it has shaped our modern Western society and has significantly influenced the rest of the world. This paradigm consists of a number of entrenched ideas and values, among them the view of the universe as a mechanical system composed of elementary building blocks, the view of the body as a machine, the view of life in society as a competitive struggle for existence, the belief in unlimited process to be achieved through economic and technological growth, and –last, but not least — the belief that a society in which the female is everywhere subsumed under the male is one that follows a basic law of nature. All of these assumptions have been fatefully challenged by recent events. And, indeed, a radical revision of them is now occurring.
It does not take much mental effort to see that the political systems we have been living with for the last several hundred years — a polity of nation states run almost entirely by men in which imperialism, racism, sexism, colonialism, and other forms of power relations based on domination and suppression, with increasingly sophisticated weapons of destruction as the tool of enforcement — is a direct outgrowth of this Cartesian world view. If everything is separate, then the door is open for the strongest to rule, and conquest becomes the norm–conquest of our neighbor, of the minority group living among us, of women or the feminine energy, of the frontier, even of nature herself.
Many of the places in the world today in which peace builders are needed are places seeking to repair the harm that is the legacy of such force-oriented and polarized systems. Today’s conflicts over land, identity, religion, natural resources, and power are still driven by the assumptions of this reductionist world view. Even the recent focus on the global economy and geo-economics as a critical element in world affairs is based on the same set of false premises.
The new paradigm or worldview — called holism or deep ecology or systems thinking — posits an altogether different set of assumptions and inferences. If reality is all about energy, interconnectedness and consciousness — rather than matter, separation and mechanistic reactions — then we need to frame our lives totally differently: we need to pay attention to how the the energy moves throughout those webs of relationship; what patterns are prevalent and how new ones can be created; and the role our consciousness can play in shaping our realities.
In other words, we need to think of the whole as more than the sum of the parts; of the interactions of different phenomenon; of the possibilities and potentialities inherent in the networks; of the context in which any phenomenon occurs. We need to think of the viability of this great web of being, and of our place in it and our responsibility for its well-being.
Furthermore, we need to let this view permeate our values, our beliefs, our assumptions, our perceptions, our structures of society, and our behaviors, for if it is true (and our own sciences seem to be convinced that it is so) that we are all part of a single web of life, then truly, the teaching of our great peace leaders that to cause harm to another is to harm ourselves is a profound wake up call, not only to environmental action but also to how we establish and maintain all our social, political, and economic systems on this planet.”
You cannot get more truth than that…

The Unseen Subtle Energy that fills 96% of our Existence
Following is a good example of the research being done to identify the healing power of subtle energy (Prana, Chi) from a recent article in Intelligent Optimist magazine. The piece focuses on the pioneering work of Russian physicist Yury Kronn and the subtle energy that fills 96 percent of our existence but cannot be seen or measured (written by Jurrianan Kamp):
“If atoms are influenced by subtle energy, one would expect there to be an impact on living organisms as well. That research has been done by Professor Joie Jones (1941-2013) at the University of California, Irvine. Beginning in the mid-nineties, Jones spent ten years investigating the effects of ‘pranic healing’, practiced by healers using techniques established in China and India thousands of years ago. In his lab, Jones exposed cell cultures in petri dishes to gamma radiation, which has been shown to severely damage the DNA of cells; the normal survival rate of cells under the established dosage of gamma rays was 50 percent. When specially designed subtle energy patterns were added to the culture, they had a survival rate of 92 percent. ‘If subtle energy is able to restore cells after this kind of damage,’ Kronn explains, ‘we can understand why traditional Eastern medicine called this energy the ‘life force’.
The research by professor Jones gives credibility to the positive experiences many people have ‘inexplicable’ healing – energy medicine – methods like reiki and touch for health. It can also explain why, as experiments show, prayer supports healing; why the energy in acupuncture points on the body is measurably different from the energy in surrounding skin; and why homeopathy works. All these healing approaches are based on forces that modern science cannot see or measure. Krona says, ‘But we can observe the effects, and there are a lot of people who can see auras and who can feel the energy. These healers know how to use subtle energy. Moreover, people can learn to develop the same sensitivity.”

Truth Clarified
Spiritualist Frieda Probst in her beautifully inspiring book of channeled readings – The Mother Transcriptions, Lessons from The Sisters of Light – presents a deep treatise on Love and Truth from a very high level of consciousness. One section, titled Truth Clarified, is particularly important to reforming modern society which is currently in the grips of distortion and deception in so many areas. It gently challenges us to reconnect with the Divine Truth which is the only “real thing” in our existence:
“Your image of truth is distorted. You think truth is just telling the accurate story of a happening. Truth is much more profound that that. Truth is the aspect of God that flows the thought of God into you, and then into material form on the Earth plane.
Truth is simplicity in action. Truth is right action, rather than simply telling accurate stories. Truth is knowing what is right and then living that rightness in every aspect of your life. Truth is following the divine path that you chose before you were born, and taking that path totally. Right action involves dedication, right action involves dedication to yourself.
Sometimes we see you learning a certain way and there is a certain knowing that maybe a certain action is appropriate, but you may hurt another by these actions, or you may be perceived by friends as off-balance. These are the actions we are discussing this morning. You must all come to the realization that right action is not painful; it just sometimes appears to be painful in some ways. Right action cannot cause pain when the truth is flowing through you, and you are in alignment with that truth. When your actions and your truth are in total alignment, only love can flow. Love is all there is. [Truth maximizes Energy / Love flow].
…To truly be a human being, you must be the master of yourself. This does not mean being unbearable or arrogant with your actions or words. It means always telling the truth, speaking the truth in every possible way. Speak the truth and you will be free – free of domination and free to truly be the holy child of God that you are. This is truth. This is right action…All aspects of your life must outpour truth. If there is anyone who is not in alignment with you truth, meditate and ask for guidance. The help will come to aid you in determining if a change is due.
All of you have areas of your life that need to be cleared. All of you have clutter surrounding you in many ways. Begin today to clear away the debris of the past. Begin today to clear away anything and anyone that does not align with you as a holy child of the Divine Mother. Ask yourself always, ‘Is this action in alignment with the Divine Mother’s truth?’ You will receive an answer and you will have the stamina, courage, and will to act on that truth. Trust in your inner stamina, courage, and will. You know the answers to all questions. You need but stop and ask, then stop and listen. All answers are available to you.”
TSW Insight:
A natural observation may be that ‘one person’s truth is sometimes quite different from ‘another person’s truth’. The reality is that the ‘truth’ in this case may be one that is obscured by an individual’s particular biases and fear based distortions. As I wrote in Doing the Right Thing for the Right Reasons – the Essential 21st Century Framework, the way to ensure you get to the Truth is by having a set of clear operating principles that helps guide you to that destination no matter what the situation. I also have a simple test to determine if I or anyone else is operating at the highest level of Divine Truth: Does what I or the other person is saying or doing align with the highest aspect of unconditional love and acceptance and does it promote unity rather than separation or division? I believe applying that question to any situation can immediately bring to the surface all fear and ego-based distortions of the Truth.
Another interesting observation about our ability to reach the level of Truth in our everyday interactions is that many of us often end up not pursuing the right course of Truthful action or speech because we anticipate that the other party (or some other person or group who will be affected by our action) will not be operating at the level of unadulterated Truth. We become afraid of their reaction or action that will be unpleasant for us. This fear based approach of course only ensures we decrease the level of Truth in any situation. In fact, we guarantee the other person or group won’t have a chance to “do the right thing” because we have decided not to give them the opportunity to do so in order to protect our own ego. We have essentially chosen the path of non-Truth for the other person or group. This lack of courage and commitment to the Truth leads to an overall lowering of integrity and unity within society. It also leads to less than desirable performance and results as anything that is not of the highest level of Truth is not sustainable and will ultimately fail and collapse.
So in terms of more effective dialogue and decision making, asking “have we done the right thing for the right reasons” and “have we arrived at the Truth”, is often enough of a mental lubricant to get to the right destination.
Lastly, what would it mean if we were all dedicated Truth Seekers and Tellers? Here’s some potential scenarios:
We would question everything . We wouldn’t be satisfied with the status quo or accept anything until we became convinced that it was the highest level of truth – not a false thought distorted by ego and fear.
We would look at all of our societal systems and figure out which one’s were actually truth promoting versus truth destroying (politics, business, education, media , etc). We would then set about to reform those systems that were holding back the proper evolution of society.
We would re-examine our childhood conditioning – half truths and distortions that our families, schools, religious institutions , and society at large had taught us to believe. We would keep what we now determine to be the Truth and let go of the rest.
We would assess if we were living our purpose – in our lives, in our jobs – and if we were aligned with the Truth or something less than satisfactory, real, and worthy of the highest good.
We would learn Systems Thinking . The Truth can be difficult to uncover and being able to connect the dots between various pieces of information at times becomes the only way to discern the Truth.
We would become life-long learners . The Truth takes time and effort to un-earth. A commitment to finding it in all things is a divine and worthy discipline.
We would meditate and go within, be still and quiet. We would realize the Truth is being broadcast to us in every moment, but we must make the choice to listen .
Lastly, we would not be afraid of the Truth. Holding the view that finding out the Truth of any subject as being inconvenient or unpleasant would no longer make sense to us. In fact, we would want complete transparency as anything less than the Truth is an illusion. And, a life built upon a house of cards is a level of unstability no one benefits from in the long run.

Quantum Physicist David Bohm on our Interconnected Reality
The great Quantum Physicist David Bohm writing in 1980 about our interconnected reality in his book Wholeness and the Implicate Order. Timeless words and perspective for today’s less than whole global society…
“I would say that my scientific and philosophical work, my main concern has been with understanding the nature of reality in general and consciousness in particular as a coherent whole, which is never static or complete, but which is in an unending process of movement and unfoldment. Thus, when I look back, I see that even as a child I was fascinated by the puzzle, indeed the mystery, of what is the nature of movement. Whenever one thinks of anything, it seems to be apprehended either as static or as a series of static images. Yet, in the actual experience of movement, one senses an unbroken, undivided process of flow, to which the series of static images in thought is related as a series of ‘still’ photographs might be related to the actuality of a speeding car.
Then there is the further question of what is the relationship of thinking to reality. As careful attention shows, thought itself is in an actual process of movement. That is to say, one can feel a sense of flow in the ‘stream of consciousness’ not dissimilar to the sense of flow in the movement of matter in general. May not thought itself thus be part of reality as a whole? But then, what could it mean for one part of reality to know another, and to what extent would this be possible? Does the content of thought merely give us abstract and simplified ‘snapshots’ of reality, or can it go further, somehow to grasp the very essence of the living movement that we sense in actual experience?
.. one who is similar to Einstein in creativity is not the one who imitates Einstein’s ideas, nor even the one who applies these ideas in new ways, rather, it is the one who learns from Einstein and then goes on to do something original, which is able to assimilate what is valid in Einstein’s work and yet goes beyond this work in qualitatively new ways. So what we have to do with regard to the great wisdom from the whole of the past, both in the East and in the West, is to assimilate it and to go on to new and original perception relevant to our present condition of life.
.. man’s general way of thinking of the totality, i.e. his general world view, is crucial for overall order of the human mind itself. If he thinks of the totality as constituted as independent fragments, then that is how his mind will tend to operate, but if he can include everything coherently and harmoniously in an overall whole that is undivided, unbroken and without border (for every border is a division or break) then his mind will tend to move in a similar way, and from this will flow an orderly action within the whole.
Indeed, man has always been seeking wholeness – mental, physical, social and individual… It is instructive to consider the word ‘health’ in English is based on an Anglo-Saxon word ‘hale’ meaning ‘whole’: that is, to be healthy is to be whole. Likewise the English ‘holy’ is based on the same root as ‘whole’. All of this indicates that man has sensed always that wholeness or integrity is an absolute necessity to make life worth living. Yet, over the ages, he has generally lived in fragmentation.
In the prevailing philosophy of the Orient, the immeasurable (i.e. that which cannot be named, described, or understood through any form of reason) is regarded as the primary reality.
If we supposed that theories gave true knowledge, corresponding to ‘reality as it is’, then we would have to conclude that Newtonian Mechanics was true until around 1900, after which it suddenly became false, while relativity and quantum theory suddenly became the truth. Such an absurd conclusion does not arise, however, if we say that all theories are insights, which are neither true nor false.
… Man is continually developing new forms of insight, which are clear up to a point and then tend to become unclear. In this activity, there is evidently no reason to suppose that there is or will be a final form of insight (corresponding to absolute truth) or even a steady series of approximations to this. Rather, one may expect the unending development of new forms of insight (which will, however assimilate certain key features of the older forms as simplifications, in the way that relativity theory does with Newtonian theory). Our theories are to be regarded primarily as ways of looking at the world as a whole (‘world-views’) rather than as ‘absolute true knowledge of how things are’.
What prevents theoretical insights from going beyond existing limitations and changing to meet new facts is just the belief that theories give true knowledge of reality (which implies, of course, that they never change). Although our modern way of thinking has changed a great deal relative to the ancient one, the two have had one key feature in common: i.e. they are both generally ‘blinkered’ by the notion that theories give true knowledge about ‘reality as it is’. Thus, both are led to confuse the forms and shapes induced in our perceptions by theoretical insight with a reality independent of our thought and way of looking. This confusion is of crucial significance, since it leads us to approach nature, society and the individual in terms of more or less fixed and limited forms of thought, and thus, apparently, to keep on confirming the limitations of these forms of thought in experience.
If man thinks of the totality as constituted of independent fragments, then that is how his mind will tend to operate, but if he can include everything coherently and harmoniously in an overall whole that is undivided, unbroken, and without a border then his mind will tend to move in a similar way, and from this will flow an orderly action within the whole.
The notion that all these fragments is separately existent is evidently an illusion, and this illusion cannot do other than lead to endless conflict and confusion. Indeed, the attempt to live according to the notion that the fragments are really separate is, in essence, what has led to the growing series of extremely urgent crises that is confronting us today. Thus, as is now well known, this way of life has brought about pollution, destruction of the balance of nature, over-population, world-wide economic and political disorder and the creation of an overall environment that is neither physically nor mentally healthy for most of the people who live in it. Individually there has developed a widespread feeling of helplessness and despair, in the face of what seems to be an overwhelming mass of disparate social forces, going beyond the control and even the comprehension of the human beings who are caught up in it.”

Mystic Insights – No. 6 – The Power of Love
The Power of Love…
A constant state of Love is the ultimate goal. That is when you’ve allowed pure Divine energy to fully flow through your system.
The body and mind are the receivers and transmitters of divine love. They must be clean and finely tuned in order to work optimally.
In all cases, it is the thoughts of separation, judgement, and criticism that bring about a lack of peace and harmony in one’s physical reality. Only love and acceptance given unconditionally, can bring about miracles.
