Erich Fromm on the Art of Loving
Erich Fromm’s 1950 masterpiece, The Art of Loving, is a timeless work on the critical element that fuels every aspect of our existence. Without the energetic force of Love, nothing in our world would survive as it is the Light that illuminates the Dark. Fromm, as a psychotherapist, intimately knew the human psyche’s need for love, and his work as a sociologist helped him make the connection of how love is the creative force that drives humanity’s only worthwhile and enduring achievements.
As the title states, Fromm recognized that one does not easily acquire Love Mastery, rather it is an Art that must be mastered. Right from the onset, Fromm leaves not doubt for the reader of the investment required :
The reading of this book would be a disappointing experience for anyone who expects easy instruction in the art of loving. This book, on the contrary, wants to show that love is not a sentiment which can be easily indulged in by anyone, regardless of the level of maturity reached by him. It wants to convince the reader that his attempts for love are bound to fail, unless he tries most actively to develop his total personality, so as to achieve a productive orientation; that satisfaction in individual love cannot be attained without the capacity to love one’s neighbor, without true humility, courage, faith, and discipline. In a culture in which these qualities are a rare achievement. Or -anyone can ask himself how many truly loving persons he has known.
And that sentence is truly the crux of our problem – we instinctively recognize the importance of love, but in looking around, we don’t really see many great examples of it in our daily lives. Our actions and intentions don’t reflect our aspirations. Taking appropriate action (giving rather than receiving) for Fromm, is in fact a key aspect of mastering the art of love:
Most people see the problem of love primarily as that of being loved, rather than that of loving, of one’s capacity to love. Hence the problem to them is how to be loved, how to be lovable.
Moreover, our priorities don’t seem to align towards developing the skill to love. Our various economic and societal systems, media, and cultural norms encourage in fact just the opposite:
And, maybe, here lies the answer to the question of why people in our culture try so rarely to learn this art, in spite of their obvious failures: in spite of the deep-seated craving for love, almost everything else is considered to be more important than love: success, prestige, money, power – almost all our energy is used for the learning of how to achieve these aims, and almost none to learn the art of loving.
If love is so critical to our very existence, then you would think we would be teaching it everywhere. But the reality is far from that:
Our k-12 school systems don’t teach love and definitely not unconditional love. In fact, everything in schools is “conditional” – our children are taught early on that their “worth” is determined by test scores, achievement in sports, and following rigid rules and regulations. The love-light that each child is born with is slowly dimmed as they are taught to compete with their classmates, not love them. They are also taught, that what they “loved” to do as young children has no “marketable value” and therefore must be abandoned. Most of these children will then grow to be adults and search for years for the love that was taken from them.
Our traditional religious institutions are rarely teaching unconditional love – at least based upon the words and actions of their congregations. In fact, by separating god into many sects, we end up ensuring a divided humanity. Where is the “unity” in that?
If true love is displaying deep unconditional caring for others, then our corporations on a daily basis violate the spirit of this objective. “Profit Maximization” – which is the “legal requirement” of a for-profit corporation’s board of directors means you do whatever is necessary to realize that profit, even if it means you will be treating others un-lovingly or even hurting them in unseen ways. You may not treat them in an “illegal” fashion, but that’s a far cry from love. So with so much of our population spending most of their waking hours at work, we drill into the human consciousness that to “not-love” is good for business.
Many say that love is meant to be experienced at home, with the family. But at least in America, the health of the family has been under sustained attack for the last 100 years. 75% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck and 25% of children live in poverty in the world’s wealthiest nation. Persistent economic stress does not breed a loving family environment. Yet, in this tense climate, media and the government promote a consumerist culture (in the guise that its the only way to keep the economy going) along with a continuous war mentality that keeps the population on the edge. Add in the 80,000 chemicals added to the food and water supply and you have weaponized the living conditions for a large part of humanity. How did we let it happen?
Divide and Conquer
In each of the cases above, the institutions in question end up promoting separation among people rather than unity and interconnectedness. This of course is not by accident – “divide and conquer” is an ancient strategy. For Fromm, separation is the destructive force present within the human condition:
The experience of separatene ss arouses anxiety; it is, indeed the source of all anxiety. Being separate means being cut-off, without any capacity to use my human powers. Hence to be separate means to be helpless, unable to grasp the world – things and people – actively; it means that world can invade me without my ability to react. Thus separateness is the source of intense anxiety. Beyond that, it arouses shame and the feeling of guilt. This experience of guilt and shame in separateness is expressed in the Biblical story of Adam and Eve. After Adam and Eve have eaten of the ‘tree of knowledge of good and evil’, after they have disobeyed (there is no good and evil unless there is freedom to disobey), after they have become human by having emancipated themselves from the original animal harmony with nature, ie., after their birth as human beings – they saw ‘that they were naked – and they were ashamed.’ Should we assume that a myth as old and elementary as this has the prudish morals of the nineteenth century outlook, and that the important point the story wants to convey to us is the embarrassment that their genitals were visible? This can hardly be so, and by understanding the story in a Victorian spirit, we miss the main point, which seems to be the following: after man and woman have become aware of themselves and of each other, they are aware of their separateness, and of their difference, inasmuch as they belong to different sexes. But while recognizing their separateness they remain strangers, because they have not yet learned to love each other (as is also made very clear by the fact that Adam defends himself by blaming Eve, rather than by trying to defend her). The awareness of human separation, without reunion by love – is the source of shame. It is at the same time the source of guilt and anxiety. The deepest need of man, then, is the need to overcome his separateness, to leave the prison of his aloneness. Man 0f of all ages and cultures – is confronted with the solution of one and the same question: the question of how to overcome separateness, how to achieve union, how to transcend one’s own individual life and find at-onement.
With such a strong internal, instinctive desire, you would think that Man would be running full steam ahead into Unity and Oneness. But something is getting in the way. Some form of manipulation that creates fear in a person that makes separation appear as normal, necessary, and even a good-thing. In fact, since the instinctive drive towards unity is so powerful, this manipulative force must be even greater than all of Man’s intellectual and technological powers and one that understands how to use use man’s mind and heart against himself. In fact, to get man to do the dirty work himself, almost willingly. This manipulative force is ‘hidden’ to the naked eye, but you can see it working through visible institutions, structures, and systems in society. We’ve spoken about some of them above, but Fromm points out that is is in fact because of man’s desire to avoid separateness which leads him to voluntarily conform to society in order to avoid it:
…In contemporary Western society the union with the group is the prevalent way of overcoming separateness. It is a union in which the individual self disappears to a large extent, and where the aim is to belong to the herd. If I am like everybody else, if I have no feelings or thoughts which make me different, if I conform in custom, dress, ideas, to the pattern of the group, I am saved; saved from the frightening experience of aloneness. The dictatorial systems use threats and terror to induce this conformity; the democratic countries, suggestion and propaganda. There is indeed, one great difference between the two systems. In the democracies non-conformity is possible and, in fact, by no means entirely absent; in the totalitarian systems, only a few unusual heroes and martyrs can be expected to refuse obedience. But in spirt of this difference the democratic societies show an overwhelming degree of conformity. The reason lies in the fact that there has to be an answer to the quest for union, and if there is no other or better way, then the union of herd conformity becomes the predominant one.
Fromm writing in 1950, after two world wars, recognized that those who wished to control humanity achieved their “divide and conquer” objectives by exploiting this conformity and herd instinct by keeping people in perpetual conflict. Which in turn, people would further increase their conformity to various sub-groups in order to reduce their separation. That division into sub-groups then causes further separation anxiety and so the cycle feeds on itself in a perpetual fashion. The irony is that as people are caught in this cycle, they actually believe and feel that they are experiencing great levels of freedom and individual choice. Sadly, a mere illusion.
Most people are not even aware of their need to conform. They live under the illusion that they follow their own ideas and inclinations, that they are individuals, that they have arrived at their opinions as the result of their own thinking – and that it just happens that their ideas are the same as those of the majority. The consensus of all serves as a proof for the ‘correctness’ of their ideas. Since there is still a need to feel some individuality , such need is satisfied with regard to minor differences; the initials on a handbag or the sweater, the name plate of the bank teller, the belonging to the Democratic as against the Republican party, to the Elks instead of the Shriners become the expression of individual differences.
So through the appearance of individuality and equality which conformity provides us, we lose our unique integrity. We move the focus of our inherent divine power from within to those things that exist outside of us as is dictated by various control mechanisms such as modern media, advertising, and economic and educational institutions. In an effort to reunite with others and embrace our inherent power of love, we ironically let it be taken away from us and with our willing acquiescence to boot.
Given this, Fromm realizes love requires conscious, proactive action on the part of man in order to truly thrive and not let love be stolen from us:
…Mature love is union under the condition of preserving one’s integrity, one’s individuality. Love is an active power in man; a power which breaks through the walls which separate man from his fellow men, which unites him with others; love makes him overcome the sense of isolation and separateness, yet it permits himself, to retain his integrity. In love the paradox occurs that two beings become one and yet remain two…In the most general way, the active character of love can be described by stating that love is primarily giving, not receiving. For the productive character, giving has an entirely different meaning. Giving is the highest degree of potency. In the very act of giving, I experience my strength, my wealth, my power. The experience of heightened vitality and potency fills me with joy. I experience myself as overflowing, spending, alive, hence as joyous. Giving is more joyous than receiving, not because it is a deprivation, but because in the act of giving lies the expression of my aliveness….Love is the active concern for the life and growth of that which we love. Where this active concern is lacking, there is no love. Care and concern imply another aspect of love; that of responsibility. Today responsibility is often meant to denote duty, something imposed upon one from the outside. But responsibility in its true sense, is an entirely voluntary act; its is my response to the needs, expressed or unexpressed, of another human being. The be ‘responsible’ means to be able and ready to ‘respond’.
If someone or entity can keep people from being responsible through their need for conformity to “group principles or norms” and abdicate their loving ability to respond, it becomes a perfect way to control a planet. But hopefully there are enough of us now that recognize the game for what it is and are ready to take back our inherent power of divine consciousness breathing through the highest love frequency and eliminate the separation that has periled us for so long. Each person who steps forward in their day to day lives and takes unconditional loving action towards another, breaks the spell of separation and begins the process of exiting from the matrix. It is the road back to re-connecting with the Creative Source of All that works through and animates everything. By experiencing that inherent connectedness with others, we migrate back to the core truth of our existence – that we are one human family – each one of us is at our core the same spark of the divine as everyone else. That realization leads to the Unity Consciousness which the planet so dearly yearns for:
The most fundamental kind of love, which underlies all types of love, is brotherly love. By this I mean the sense of responsibility, care, respect, knowledge of any other human being, the wish to further his life. This is the kind of love the Bible speaks of when it says: love thy neighbor as thyself. Brother love is love for all human beings; it is characterized by its very lack of exclusiveness. If I have developed the capacity for love, then I cannot help loving my brothers. In brotherly love, there is the union with all men, of human solidarity, of human at-onement. Brotherly love is based on the experience that we all are one. The differences in talents, intelligence, knowledge are negligible in comparison with the identity of the human core common to all men. In order to experience this identity it is necessary to penetrate from the periphery to the core. If I perceive in another person mainly the surface, I perceive mainly the differences, that which separate us. If I penetrate to the core, I perceive our identity, the fact of our brotherhood. [moreover] …Only in the love of those who do not serve a purpose, love begins to unfold.
The Divine Power of Love
Uncovering this unconditional love, love without a purpose as Fromm says, naturally takes him into the search for God. Love and God have been synonymous for eternity as most spiritual traditions have voiced their viewpoint on this subject in limitless ways. But unfortunately, the hijacking of most religious traditions by the “controller group” or cabal as some call it, has infused the philosophy of separation into the very area where Love should be in complete control. Just the fact that there are many different “religions” by its very nature “separates God into pieces”. Add in the bias towards conformity and the thought systems that says God is separate from you along with a “middleman” that you must go through or believe in in order to “be in the club” and religions inadvertently end up being perfect vehicles to separate humans and take them further away from the quest for Unity, Love, and the Divine:
The truly religious person, if he follows the essence of the monotheistic idea, does not pray for anything, does not expect anything from God; he does not love God as a child loves his father or his mother, he has acquired the humility of sensing his limitations, to the degree of knowing that he knows nothing about God. God becomes to him a symbol in which man, at an earlier stage of his evolutions, has expressed the totality of that which man is striving for, the realm of the spiritual world, of love, truth, and justice. He has faith in the principles which “God” represents; he thinks truth, lives love and justice, and considers all of his life only valuable inasmuch as it gives him the chance to arrive at an ever fuller unfolding of his human powers – as the only reality that matters, as the only object of “ultimate concern”; and eventually, he does not speak about God – nor even mention his name. To love God, if he were going to use this word , would mean, then, to long for the attainment of the full capacity to Love, for the realization of that which “God” stands for in oneself.
Fromm has made the connection that to Love is to know the power of God moving through you. As various greats have said – “Go within, or go without…”, or “The Kingdom of Heaven is Within You”. And in the last century Quantum Science showed that all material reality is governed by the equation E=mCˆ2. Energy Frequency Vibration converts into matter and vice versa. Everything has an energetic frequency in our world, as do our thoughts and emotions. Thus if you are vibrating at a high energy level, with love being pretty close to the top, then your ability to create your material reality is very high. But if your thoughts are governed by concepts of separation, the opposite of Love, then your ability to create and your channeling of the Divine Power of Love is very low. You are then at the mercy of external material forces. Which is exactly what the controller group, the cabal, have architected so as to be able to control and manipulate humanity for their un-holy purposes.
Reuniting Love and Humanity
Has the time come (or more correctly, are we now ready to move into a post-time, Love-in-the-Present Moment reality)? Hopefully the answer is a resounding yes, for if Humanity is to ascend to a higher level of existence, there is no substitute for Love as the vehicle to get it to its destination. The type of Love that flows through someone who has decided to be more “Service to Others”, rather than “Service to Self”.
Fromm in his closing summary stated the situation beautifully and it is as or more true today as it was more than sixty years ago when he wrote it. We have arrived at a great inflection point in Earth History, one that if managed correctly, will take us to great heights. But it will require a major upgrade to our Consciousness which will then allow us the ability to fundamentally reconstruct our societal systems in a way which places Love back at the center of everything we do:
People capable of love, under the present system, are necessarily the exceptions; love is by necessity a marginal phenomenon in present day Western society. Not so much because many occupations would not permit of a loving attitude, but because the spirit of a production centered, commodity greedy society is such that only the nonconformist can defend himself successfully against it. Those who are seriously concerned with love as the only rational answer to the problem of human existence must , then, arrive at the conclusion that important and radical changes in our social structure are necessary, if love is to become a social and not a highly individualistic, marginal phenomenon. The direction of such changes can, with the scope of this book, only be hinted at. Our society is run by a managerial bureaucracy, by professional politicians; people are motivated by mass suggestion, their aim is producing more and consuming more, as purposes themselves. All activities are subordinated to economic goals, means have become ends; man is an automaton – well fed, well clad, but without any ultimate concern for that which is his peculiarly human quality and function. If man is to able to love, he must be put in his supreme place. The economic machine must serve him, rather than he serve it. He must be enabled to share experience, to share work, rather than, at best, share in profits. Society must be organized in such a way that man’s social, loving nature is not separated from his social existence, but becomes one with it. If it is true, as I have tried to show, that love is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence, then any society which excludes, relatively, the development of love, must in the long run perish of its contradiction with the basic necessities of human nature. Indeed, to speak of love is not ‘preaching’ for the simple reason that it means to speak of the ultimate and and real need in every human being. That this need has been obscured does not mean that it does not exist. To analyze the nature of Love is to discover its general absence today and to criticize the social conditions which are responsible for this absence. To have faith in the possibility of love as a social and not only exceptional individual phenomenon, is a rational faith based on the insight into the very nature of man.

Who Are God���s Teachers?
A short and beautiful statement from A Course in Miracles of the Call that is made to all of us to embrace our inherent Oneness and heal the world. ��Will you answer?

���A teacher of God is anyone who chooses to be one. His qualifications consist solely in this; somehow, somewhere he has made a deliberate choice in which he did not see his interests apart from someone else���s. Once he has done that, his road is established and his direction is sure. A light has entered the darkness. It may be a single light, but that is enough. He has entered an agreement with God even if he does not yet believe in Him. He has become a bringer of salvation. He has become a teacher of God.
They come from all over the world. They come from all religions and from no religion. They are the ones who have answered. The Call is universal. It goes on all the time everywhere. It calls for teachers to speak for It and redeem the world. Many hear It, but few will answer. Yet it is all a matter of time. Everyone will answer in the end, but the end can be a long, long way off. It is because of this that the plan of the teachers was established. Their function is to save time. Each one begins as a single light, but with the call at its center it is a light that cannot be limited. And each one saves a thousand years of time as the world judges it. To the Call Itself time has no meaning.
There is a course for every teacher of God. The form of the course varies greatly. So do the particular teaching aids involved. But the content of the course never changes. Its central theme is always, ���God���s Son is guiltless, and in his innocence is his salvation.��� It can be taught by actions or thoughts; in words or soundlessly; in any language; in any place or time or manner. It does not matter who the teacher was before he heard the Call. He has become a savior by his answering. He has seen someone else as himself. He has therefore found his own salvation and the salvation of the world. In his rebirth is the world reborn.”

Be-In-G (od)
Being (versus Doing), is therefore to Be-in-God
This is actually the Holy Grail
The Search for God was always right under our noses
The Kingdom of Heaven is Within Us
If the Divine Creator is an energy and information field (not some man with a beard sitting far away on a hill top in the clouds), then that Source Field of Divine Consciousness is what creates everything and everyone. Which means, we ourselves are emanations of that Divine Source. We ourselves are Gods. Everything is Source.
That is Enlightenment, that is Nirvana, that is Satori. To make the breakthrough in awareness to knowing that Truth. That there is only Oneness, one Unified Whole.
Oneness is the gateway out of all suffering and all delusion that takes life time after life time for us humans to try and understand.
Until we learn that Truth of Oneness, we are fooled into believing that everything in reality is Separate from us. Which in turn means to most, that it can be attacked, manipulated, abused, and ignored without consequence.
If you understood something was inherently a part of you, connected to you, you would not dream of attacking or harming it. It would be like taking your right hand and using it to beat the rest of your body into a pulp, or allowing one part of your body to die out of neglect because you felt it wasn���t as ���deserving��� as the rest of your body or it wasn���t carrying it���s own weight. Or, hating one part of your body, because it looked slightly different than another part. No sane person would do such a thing.
But those who are fooled, do not realize that every one of their human peers, the animals, and the earth itself, are part of one integrated Be-In-G.
So the attacks continue. The wars, the hatred, the destruction, the unkindness, the competition, the poverty, the deceit, the abuse, the neglect, and much more.
The Holy Grail is Regaining your Sanity via Understanding who You really Are
A Being in God, the Divine Creator, the Universal Architect. Not an isolated island of temporary material substance. You are Spirit in Material form – God itself taking Human Shape to Experience Life.
Free Will is humanity���s desire to experience life without remembering who they are. To taste the veil of separation and see if they can remember the Truth. To test themselves with the illusions of Good and Evil, and Us versus Them. The contrasts that we experience when under the veil, allow us to experience the good and bad effects of our actions and thoughts in order to develop a deeper appreciation for the Pure Bliss of Love. In this dimensional reality, we learn best through direct experience of Cause and Effect, also known as Karma.
Human civilization after civilization ends up in the same place during these tests – Self Destruction. Not enough of the population can awake in time to realize the True Nature of Reality. Ultimate destruction of all life is the strange conclusion that is reached. The experiment then begins again with all parties hoping this time it will be different.
We Have Reached that Fork in the Road Again
Will we awake this time from our collective slumber and choose to remember the Truth that is within us? Will we resist the Fear that insists that we must get what is ���rightfully ours��� and in the process continue the sale of our souls to the Dark Forces. ��Or, will we awake in time to recognize ourselves in each other, make peace, and take the rightful road to ascending to the higher dimensional versions of ourselves we know lies within?
It���s our move. It���s our choice, every moment, every day. Do we choose the Illusion of Separation, or do we choose the Truth of our Unified Being-In-God.

So the attacks continue. The wars, the hatred, the destruction, the unkindness, the competition, the poverty, the deceit, the abuse, the neglect, and much more.
The Holy Grail is Regaining your Sanity via Understanding who You really Are
A Being in God, the Divine Creator, the Universal Architect. Not an isolated island of temporary material substance. You are Spirit in Material form – God itself taking Human Shape to Experience Life.
Free Will is humanity’s desire to experience life without remembering who they are. To taste the veil of separation and see if they can remember the Truth. To test themselves with the illusions of Good and Evil, and Us versus Them. The contrasts that we experience when under the veil, allow us to experience the good and bad effects of our actions and thoughts in order to develop a deeper appreciation for the Pure Bliss of Love. In this dimensional reality, we learn best through direct experience of Cause and Effect, also known as Karma.
Human civilization after civilization ends up in the same place during these tests – Self Destruction. Not enough of the population can awake in time to realize the True Nature of Reality. Ultimate destruction of all life is the strange conclusion that is reached. The experiment then begins again with all parties hoping this time it will be different.
We Have Reached that Fork in the Road Again
Will we awake this time from our collective slumber and choose to remember the Truth that is within us? Will we resist the Fear that insists that we must get what is “rightfully ours” and in the process continue the sale of our souls to the Dark Forces. Or, will we awake in time to recognize ourselves in each other, make peace, and take the rightful road to ascending to the higher dimensional versions of ourselves we know lies within?
It’s our move. It’s our choice, every moment, every day. Do we choose the Illusion of Separation, or do we choose the Truth of our Unified Being-In-God.

Resisting Structural Evil and Breaking Out of Our Virtual Prison
Imagine waking up one day in prison and realizing that all along you had the keys to the cell you have been in for decades. They were right there, under your nose. They didn’t look like normal keys, so you can be forgiven for being fooled. But sure enough, they opened the doors to the prison cell and you had them in your possession. You can imagine how upset you would be – to have had the source of your freedom at your fingertips but unable to recognize it for what it was. Yet for year after year, you toiled away in the prison accustomed and perhaps even, “well adjusted”, to your fate.
Why, you didn’t even think of your life as being in a prison. People helped you understand the good sides of your existence and the “realities” of life. In time, you became comfortable and understood where you stood versus others in the prison. You “adapted”, understood the prison rules, and in fact, came to even be a promoter of those “rules” to others as those rules kept the place functioning in a somewhat organized way.
The prison warden and guards loved the system they created as the inmates themselves policed each other and kept themselves in line. In return, the one’s that followed and enforced the rules and norms of the prison were given special privileges by the guards. You quickly learned that keeping the system going was the least painful way to exist in the prison. The system fed and housed you, and if you played by its rules and kow-towed to the right people, it would keep you “safe”. You could survive and thrive.
Yes, not everyone did as well as you did. There was violence all around you and a constant degradation of human life. At times, it would get to you. You wanted to help and wished things were different. But you couldn’t really do anything about it, so why bother?
As new inmates came into the prison, through the kindness of your heart, you taught them the ways of the prison. Over time, they would come to support the prison system as well. As a good mentor to the others, you were rewarded with an “upgrade” to a bigger cell and nicer surroundings. Why, you even got access to the “elite prisoner’s club”! The club was an enjoyable diversion from the degraded conditions of the majority of the prison and you could interact with other “elite” cell mates, not the run of the mill riffraff.
At the club, you were shown a side of prison life you had no idea that existed. There were actual businesses running inside the prison! Your elite mentors showed you the ropes on how to participate in this most entrepreneurial of activities. In fact, you could run any type of business you wanted, the sky was the limit. There was only one requirement – the warden, the guards, and the senior “elite prisoners” all got to take a cut of your profits.
You winced at first, but then came to see the wisdom of their system. Those individuals were entitled to a cut as they kept the “system” running so that you could run your business in peace. And, if you played your cards right, worked hard, followed the rules, “disciplined” other prisoners as necessary, and didn’t ask any questions about the ingredients and chemicals in the products you were selling, why you too could become one of the “senior elite prisoners” and get a cut of everyone’s profit as well. How egalitarian you thought! A system that recognizes merit, fair play, and clean living. What else could I want?! After a while, you even forgot you were in a prison. You were your own man, running a business, you had friends, and a structured existence in which you could achieve the “good life”.
The warden and guards all seemed to be very happy. You often noticed them smiling and laughing and thought to yourself how amazing that they ddidn’t mind working in a prison environment. They actually seemed to be getting a kick out of what was going on everyday.
Why wouldn’t they … they had created a system where the prison in-mates policed each other and kept the prison functioning on their own. Very few of the prisoners realized that they were actively participating in the imprisonment of each other and themselves. The warden and guards on the other hand keenly understood that with the proper “incentives” people could be kept in a state of perpetual work towards those incentives. The perpetual carrot-stick incentive model overcame the desire for true freedom. They had mastered the concepts of Divide and Conquer and Mis-Direct and Control. A perfect and elegant combination of tools to en-slave a prison population.

Could the story above be a metaphor for our modern day global society?
Most of us would be hesitant to agree that our lives are like those of prison inmates. Many of us own homes, drive nice cars, eat delicious food at good restaurants, go on a vacation once in a while, and so on. We have money to buy those things and we operate in a ‘free-society’ where there are laws that both protect and serve us. Moreover, for the most part, we operate in society as we please. And, if we do things that injure ourselves or others accidentally, well, that’s our concern. As long as we have the money for it, we can fix our problems through the medical or legal systems. What’s not to like?
But, are we really free, or are we operating under a very sophisticated control mechanism that gives us the illusion of un-impeded choice-making?
Furthermore, do our “free-choices” actually prop-up a system that keeps us and our fellow citizens in an externally imposed, yet virtually invisible state of control, fear, anxiety, suffering, and poor health? If so, then Seattle University professor Cynthia D. Moe-Lobeda would argue we are participating in and enabling Structural Evil within our society.
Professor Moe-Lobeda implies the term Structural Evil means that destructive outcomes for each other are an inherent part of participating in the society we currently live. Even with good intentions and caring towards others, just by following the basic and legal norms in our world, we end up hurting others and ourselves on a daily basis.
Let’s take a look at a few modern day examples:
The ultra low-cost material goods people buy at big box retailers are made in countries with lax safety standards. We get low prices, but the people where they product is manufactured, though they get a ‘job’, they also get horrid working conditions and shortened life spans. At home, we got a very low price, but someone here lost their job because their company couldn’t compete on price. A little time down the road, since these ultra low-cost products are engineered specifically to have short life spans (so you can soon buy them again) they will be dumped into landfills and some will wind up as sludge in the oceans which will destroy marine life. That marine destruction will affect the lives and professions of much poorer people in developing countries. Their food and water supplies will be affected and they suffer. At home, those low prices require low wages for the people working in the stores that sell them. The low wages, means little or no health care and inability to purchase healthy food and get adequate time off and rest. Families suffer and mental and physical illness spreads. Not surprisingly, none of this was advertised in the shiny, happy circular for the big box retailer…
As most Americans have to have both parent’s work in order to have an acceptable lifestyle (75% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck with little to no savings), young children (20% of whom live in poverty in the U.S., with much worse numbers in many other parts of the world), often do not receive the critical care and love so necessary to their development. Many parents cannot afford high quality day care and early childhood education opportunities, so the children’s brain and emotional development suffers. Those children then are un-prepared when they enter kindergarten at age 5. It is easy for them slip behind, and they ultimately may not be able to read effectively at grade 3. If that happens they will fall behind further and will need remedial instruction. As they are not keeping pace, the teacher will be have to spend more time with them and less time with others and the whole class will be dragged down. This is why the U.S. K-12 educational system is the most expensive and least competitive against the top 30 industrialized nations. Lastly, as those kids fall behind, they veer off towards drugs, teen sex, alcoholism, crime, and eventually cost society and themselves in ways that far transcends a dollar value. They also grow up to be parents themselves one day…and the the cycle continues. Yet most Americans don’t see the need to fund universal child care and education as do many of the world’s advanced economies do such as Germany, Sweden, and Japan nor ensure that all citizens have adequate food, shelter, and education.
Our food, water, consumer goods, and pharmaceuticals collectively contain over 80,000 different chemicals of varying toxicity. Those toxic chemicals are a key reason why 50% of the U.S. population will get cancer in their life time and the other 50% will get heart disease. Yet, we as a group don’t object too loudly about the corporations introducing these toxic killers into our bodies nor the government agencies that continue to approve these products. In fact, on the contrary, collectively we support the capitalist model that protects those companies, get them to sponsor our charities, sports, educational, and art events, and proclaim that to do anything contrary would be un-patriotic. We even create new start-up companies daily whose sole source of revenue is from the advertising dollars the corporations use to sell their toxic products. A vicious cycle repeats over and over again supported by everyday people participating in the system who would never want to harm anyone else, but are just following the “norms” established by the system. And, if you were to get a serious illness (which the system is engineered to provide to you), well that’s the big bonus the “system administrators” have been waiting for. Now, you can enter the medical system where through a clever web of legal, business, and government relationships between hospitals, pharmaceutical, and insurance companies, your “care” can be monetized to astronomical levels all in the name of “helping you get better”.
In all of these examples, there is a web of interconnected effects that are not easily visible to most people. As a result, we tend to only look at a piece of the situation (the good or the bad) and blissfully ignore the rest. If we looked at the situation holistically, we would see those connections, and it would be difficult for us to ignore the problematic aspects of either of the above three situations (nor the many, many more that could be easily described).
The truth is that most of us are not hard hearted and callous. We would never desire to harm people on purpose. But through our “normal” day-to-day actions, we end up doing just that. Our actions prop up a system that gives the illusion of being efficient, full of choices, and providing continual material progress.
Yes, the material does progress (for some people), but underneath there is a web of human moral and ethical degradation that severely erodes the basic spirit of humanity.
Yet, we readily participate in the ‘System’
Through daily societal conditioning, we become great proponents of the system and see no other way to give us the life we want. Even when there are openly shared clues that should wake us from our slumber, many of us look away and gloss over in-convenient facts which would challenge our established world-view. The system, of course, is highly engineered for us to do just that. Sophisticated distraction and mind-control techniques are used via advertising, television, media, and other “entertainment” to distract us from the reality underneath the glossy exterior. Even much of our food and personal care products are engineered to disable our cognitive abilities to a level where critical thinking is hampered [GMO’s, pesticides, and chemical additives].
The character Morpheus from the movie The Matrix:
The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you’re inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.
But yet, we conform to the system, we fall in line. Why?
To answer that, Resisting Structural Evil includes a very incisive quote from sociologist Erich Fromm on possible explanations:
“Erich Fromm dedicated himself to understanding how and why people collectively conform to ways of thinking and living that reinscribe existing power structures and belief systems, even where they are socially destructive. He worked in the context of rising fascism in mid-century Europe and sought to unravel the tangled roots of what he called “automation conformity”, a social character to conform to and adopt ideas and practices that reinforce existing structures of power and privilege, all the while under the impression that they are “following their own will”.
Conformity may be driven by the hunger for approval. Socialization into attitudes and habits geared toward gaining social approval is also socialization into patterns of extraordinary consumption. Normalizing degrees of consumption previously unheard of in human history proceeds without people’s full awareness. Through a ‘complicated process of indoctrination, rewards, punishments, and fitting ideology,’ Fromm writes, ‘most people believe they are following their own will and are unaware that their will itself is conditioned and manipulated.
The sources of social manipulation in our context are not coercive but seductively persuasive. They are a complex array of anonymous influences, the persuasive power of which remains largely below the consciousness of the public. They include public opinion, conventional wisdom, political spin, ideological manipulation, the normative ‘scripts’ of one’s family and subculture, the availability of consumer goods, and perhaps more powerful than all else, advertising in its many forms.
One key factor in producing widespread conformity, in Fromm’s analysis, is modern capitalism and its need for people who ‘cooperate in large numbers, consume more and more, [and] have standardized tastes, to a degree unknown in most cultures.’ Capitalism, he argued, needs people who are ‘malleable consumers…[who] equate living with consuming, gain identity from brand names’ and can be persuaded to conform to the market’s aim of maximized profit. The directives to consume are (using Brookfield’s term) inscribed in the cultural DNA.
The values and practices of capitalism in its neoliberal form infiltrate all areas of life and are universalized as the only normative way to live. We conform to these norms unwittingly, assuming their universal normativity. The result is a ‘fog’ of moral oblivion that wipes away awareness of the dramatic amputation of alternatives…
Conscience, Fromm points out, is a casualty of automation conformity. ‘How’, he asks, ‘can conscience develop when the principle of life is conformity? Conscience, by its very nature, is non-conforming; it must be able to say no, when everybody else says yes…To the degree to which a person conforms, he cannot hear the voice of his conscience, much less act upon it.’
Likewise, critical thinking shrivels under the pressure to conform. Disabled conscience and critical thinking curtail the questioning of existing structures of injustice that are not readily visible to people who are advantaged by them. ‘Automation conformity’, then, is a potent and vital ingredient of the moral oblivion that invites evil to parade as good.”
The Use of Misdirection and Misperception (also known as Magic) to Control a Population and a Planet
You may be thinking to yourself, well, I’m a lot smarter than the average Joe. I do my research – I watch all the right programs and read the right media articles – I can’t be easily fooled. Yet, if you or I were to watch a typical magic show, say the famous Penn & Teller act in Las Vegas, we would easily be fooled the vast majority of the time. Even, when we were intensely concentrating to try and “catch” the tricksters at their act.
Magic, when it’s a form of harmless entertainment, is no problem. But, the principles magicians use to make their tricks effective have their roots in how the human brain and human perception works. And, if you could use those same principles to convince people who are ‘“watching intently” that you are doing one thing, while actually doing something else, you’ve got the basis for how dark actors around the world use the principles of magic through the avenues of television, advertising, “news programs”, “government meetings”, and other “stage-craft” to trick your mind into thinking it’s seeing and understanding one thing, when in actuality, behind the scenes something completely different is going on.This is how you can be convinced something good or necessary or meaningful is taking place, while the reality is quite the opposite.
Teller of Penn & Teller actually wrote an article in Reader’s Digest providing the principles of brain deception he uses in his magic – Magic Tricks Revealed, By Teller: 7 Ways to Fool the Brain.
Exploit pattern recognition.
Make the secret a lot more trouble than the trick seems worth.
It’s hard to think critically if you’re laughing.
Keep the trickery outside the frame.
To fool the mind, combine at least two tricks.
Nothing fools you better than the lie you tell yourself.
If you are given a choice, you believe you have acted freely.
Magic is an art, as capable of beauty as music, painting, or poetry. But the core of every trick is a cold, cognitive experiment in perception: Does the trick fool the audience? ~ Teller
Now imagine, if governments, intelligence agencies, corporations, and militaries around the world used these principles in conjunction with sophisticated electrical and biological technologies that average citizens never get to see and also had complete control of all major media outlets and financial institutions. You can start to sense the level of deception that is possible and power available to create a virtual prison planet…

The Key to Unlocking the Prison
Returning to our story from the beginning of this article, I wrote that you’ve had the key to unlock the prison cell all along. That ‘key’ is inside of you – the ‘Key to the Kingdom’ so to speak. It is the consciousness that creates all life and when you re-connect with it, and allow it to flow through you without resistance, it unlocks the doors to the virtual prison cell created by our ego-driven minds. The ego that says you must remain in a frightened state because there are limitations and dangers everywhere. It continually reminds you that there is ‘you’ and everything outside of you. You are a separate entity and those people and things outside of you are not you and have no real connection to you. Therefore, in order to be ‘safe’, you need to protect yourself from those things outside of you. This translates into a ‘you versus them’ state of mind, where whatever is best for you is the logical conclusion. It leads to a mindset of “service to self’ versus ‘service to others’. It takes no account of the creative source consciousness within all, that connects all, and that creates all.
Consciousness Transformation: A fundamental shift in perspective or worldview that results in a clearer and more expanded understanding of Self and the nature of reality. Such transformations can lead one to a greater sense of meaning and purpose, and a reorientation of priorities toward the health and wholeness of both self and the larger community.
You reach the Divine Source through significantly increasing your level of awareness, your insight and understanding – your consciousness. How does one increase their level consciousness? There are multiple paths, but here are few that I believe are critical:
Question Everything. We cannot rise in our awareness if we stay tuned into a level of understanding that has been programmed into us from our earliest years. We need to shift from a reactive, media consumption mode, to a proactive knowledge and wisdom acquisition one . Go back to the core principles of real investigative journalists – Who, What, When, Where, and Why – and then start putting the pieces of the puzzle together. This is the last thing the prison warden and guards want you to do – that’s why you must do it. And, be like the famous TV Detective Columbo – he didn’t take information from just one source (or in our case, one type of Media outlet)- he took information from a wide variety of different and un-related sources and verified over and over so as not to get fooled. He also paid close attention to small, seemingly insignificant clues (the bad guys can’t think of every detail…). In addition, the magicians are very good at giving things (people, news outlets, programs, institutions, corporations, etc) the illusion of professionalism, respectability, and integrity while the true reality is far from that, so true vigilance and discernment is required. And lastly, regarding media, though someone may be “truthfully” reporting on a subject, if what they are reporting is itself full of un-truth and deception, has the reporter given you truth? No, they’ve just been a reliable amplifier for the false. This is why dark forces insist on controlling the media…to get seemingly legitimate people amplifying the false thereby giving it an air of respectability.
Remove the Noise in your Mind. Accessing the truth requires taking the the things out of our mind that are hindering our ability to connect with what’s real. The mind-manipulators in our society are masters at appealing to our ego and causing us to be distracted from the true source of reality. Meditation and Mindfulness practices are the best way to quiet the mind and access the Truth that is the space between our thoughts.
Reconnect with Nature. As everything is energy in our world, the place where that energy is least disturbed and distorted is in Nature. The truth exists there and that unadulterated energy can flow throw you, cleaning your energetic fields, and allowing you to shed harmful energetic distortions in your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual energetic bodies.
Cleanse Your Body of all Toxins. We are receivers and transmitters of consciousness. But if our bodies are full of toxic contaminants from our water and food supplies, pharmaceuticals, personal care products, and air, then connecting to higher energetic states (consciousness) , becomes very difficult.
Gain the Understanding of all Reality as Energetic Vibration. Everything in our material world is at its underlying core, vibrating energetic frequency. This is the key thing the prison masters never want you to learn. For if you understood it, then all of their illusions of how the human body actually works and your true reality as spiritual energy would free you from your prison shackles very quickly. You would realize everything we’ve been taught about our world and the Universe we live in is incomplete at best and at other times untrue. The lack of this understanding is what allows the illusion of man as an isolated and separate being from others, from nature, and certainly from any Divine Creator has been able to be maintained for thousands of years. Without knowing our energetic reality man can be convinced that he is here for only one lifetime on a planet with limited resources and thus is justified in “getting what he can” in the limited time window given to him. Fortunately, there are many, many cracks in this illusion as progressive scientists, medical professionals, and others who have broken free of the Matrix have emerged to re-aquaint us with our true reality. See the resources at the bottom of this article – Maximizing your Vibrational Energy, the True Source of Power – to understand more of this concept.
If you do the above items, you will start to reconnect to the Divine Source Energy that seeks to flow through all of us. If you could strongly re-connect with that power, then you would take your rightful place as a Divine Co-Creator with the Source. You would come to realize your inherent power through the capability of your Heart and Mind to create anything in your reality. Nothing could imprison you, because you would have broken free from some external force restricting your mind and instead joined forces with the only real Power that exists. You would be Free at Last.
You would break free of the Structural Mind Matrix established to limit and hold you hostage in a prison of your own making. An act of truly evil genius meant to replicate its self-generating and self-sustaining evil through closing your mind through distraction, poisoning your body through toxins so that your divine transmitters and receivers would be impaired, and closing your heart towards your brothers and sisters through economic and cultural systems meant to promote an incessant level of competition, hatred, and violence.
The good news is that there is too much Truth now for the Matrix to survive. The key to accessing the Truth is going within, quieting the mind through dedicated meditation, releasing Eg0-based thoughts and allowing the Divine Source the space and quiet to emerge through you into its rightful place as your Co-Creator of a Brave New World.
But it is a Choice. Will you choose to exit the prison through Love, or remain within it via Fear?
Darkness can only be defeated once Heart and Mind strongly join forces to operate at the level of Truth.

Lastly, there is Truth and Un-Truth in everything. When you connect to the Divine Source, the glaze from your eyes is removed and your ability to clearly see the Truth is instantly restored. The magician’s deceptions and mind-distractions become in-effective. Your mind moves beyond relying on the “small hard-drive” in your head that can be easily fooled and connects to the vast and limitless “cloud-based” knowledge base that is your true source of wisdom and Truth. You regain your true Self and life becomes an infinitely much more enjoyable and effortless experience. Here’s hoping you get to experience your true potential in the very near future.

Mystic Insights No. 9 – Releasing the Light in Others
We know that we are at our best, when we maintain a high energetic vibration that allows for the maximum amount of Divine Source Energy to flow through us. We can also help others raise their energy, even though they may not be aware of energy vibration concepts.
From a Mystic standpoint, as we are all part of and within one unified energy field, our goal is to remove any fear-based resistance within ourselves that would block the free flow of Divine Source Consciousness.
And, as consciousness connects everyone, then vibrating at a loving energy level and focusing our conscious awareness on others, gives them the energetic boost they need to raise their energetic level as well.
So, when with someone (or even remotely), visualize them in the most loving version of themselves possible. This allows them to reconnect to the Divine within their own Being.
This is polarity shifting in action. Helping others go from negative or neutral to positive by the power of your heart and mind vibrating at the frequency of love.
Projecting anger or dissatisfaction at someone doesn’t get them to do the right thing. Sending Love and Light to them drives out the darkness so the Light within them can be freed to rise on its own and they then naturally do the right thing. To be sure, depending upon the situation, you may do certain tactical things simultaneously that are checks and balances while the person gets to the right outcome on their own. But they should always be done with the highest love and intention for all involved – not out of spite or fear that the right outcome or actions will not occur.
Give Light and Space to everyone and allow the Divine Source to take care of the rest.

A constant state of Love is the ultimate goal. That is when you’ve allowed pure Divine Energy to fully flow through your system. Keep striving to be a clear conductor of the Light. Maximizing Your Vibrational Energy – The True Source of Power
As we collectively move through the major transformational events occurring across the globe, the most important thing is that you not let external circumstances define who you are. That’s a choice you get to make every day with every thought. Given that the average human has 50,000 thoughts a day that’s a very large number of conscious or unconscious choices we make daily. And, since our thoughts manifest the reality we experience, good or high energy thoughts bring good things into our physical experience, bad or low energy thoughts bring unpleasant things into our reality.
Moreover, most of us go around allowing things outside of us – people, events, situations – to overly influence what we think (thought energy) and how we feel (emotional energy). We become re-active to the external world instead of being pro-active and creating it for ourselves through our thinking. In this way then, happiness is a choice. It becomes something we proactively choose with every thought.
I know this seems like a difficult thing to do – or sounds like being told to “just be happy”. And for sure it is not easy, but it can be done through practice, and by keeping in mind that you don’t “just be happy”. Happiness is a result of having helpful and positive thoughts that lead to a state of feeling happy. Like anything worth achieving, it takes practice. So, thoughts are always the first cause which then have the effect of what you feel (hopefully happy).
How then do we have more positive thoughts? We choose them and take little steps to train our mind that we are not in the mood to accept low-energy thinking. Here is one small way to start – try reciting simple mantras with some high energy words to yourself with the attributes that you would like to have or be:
“I am Love”
“I am Joyful”
“I am in Perfect Health”
“I am Peaceful”
“I am Compassionate to all Beings”
“I am Grateful for All”
“I am One with All”
“I Forgive Everyone and Everything”
“I live in Perfect Abundance”
“My Joy is in Service to Others”
Per universal laws, your body and surroundings have no option but to obey your command. The more you think, say, and feel what you want, the more it becomes a reality. Meditate for five minutes and get into a calm state and then start doing those mantras for a couple of minutes. See if your mind and body start to feel differently. [You can of course test the opposite hypothesis as well – repeat negative words and phrases to yourself and see how that makes you feel …].
The Creative Energetic Power Within Us All
The Universal Law which we’ve been talking about is something Einstein figured out in the 1930’s. He realized that Energy converts into Matter:
E is Energy and M is Matter or Material Substance times C, the Speed of Light Squared. So Einstein figured out that everything in our material world is an Energetic Frequency Vibration.
Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.” – Albert Einstein.
Our thoughts are Energy, and therefore our thinking turns into Matter and thus creates the physical reality we experience on a daily basis. Einstein’s equation is bi-directional, so we can say that matter turns into energy as well as saying that energy turns into matter. The interesting thing is that we are subconsciously taught by our parents, teachers, and others during our childhood to follow this equation but only in one direction – that manipulating matter, our material reality, will lead to changes in our energetic state. In other words, if we learn to manipulate (physically manage, change, alter, etc.) aspects of our material world that we come into contact with – people, events, our bodies, the level of wealth we have, etc. – we will be able to achieve the energetic frequency we desire (happiness, peace, love, abundance, etc.). But ironically, not many people talk about working the equation in the opposite direction, proactively changing and managing our energetic frequency to create the material reality we desire to experience. So, for years and years, lifetime after lifetime, we struggle in a reactive way against the material reality we are presented with instead of proactively harnessing the true creative power that resides within all of us.
How then do we harness that power? By maximizing E or Energetic Frequency through the power of our thoughts we can create the M or material reality of our lives. Which then makes us ask what is the highest frequency of thought that we can have? You can answer this easily for yourself – what makes you feel powerful? I believe that one of the most powerful frequencies is Love. While Fear and Hate are two of the lowest energetic frequencies – they make you feel scared, fearful, and vulnerable.
Dr. David R. Hawkins his book, Power VS Force attempted to catalogue different human Energetic Vibration Levels. He used behavioral kinesiology, a form of muscle-testing to determine emotional responses to stimuli. In essence, certain words and concepts would be said to you and your muscle resistance would be measured. A strong response would indicate a high energy level, and a low or weak muscular resistance would indicate a low energy level. Based on his testing he was able to produce a spectrum of energy frequencies aligning to certain emotional energy levels within humans. We don’t necessarily have to take these as scientific gospel, but they do give us a general frame of reference:
Shame … energy level 20

Apathy …energy level 50
Grief …energy level 75
Fear … energy level 100
Desire … energy level 125
Anger … energy level 150
Pride …. energy level 175
Courage … energy level 200
Neutrality … energy level 250

Ego -The Energy Thief
You can see that the lower energy levels are all associated with the Ego, rather than Spirit. John Randolph Price writing in A Spiritual Philosophy for the New World forcefully gives a vivid description of the problems of the Ego:
In the Wisdom Teachings, the ego is called ‘the Dweller on the Threshold’ – and is described as the sum total of the evil desires, past mistakes and weaknesses, all perverse motives, and the personality defects of the lower nature. It is a vitalized thoughtform representing the principle of duality including wrong mental attitude and every controlling fault in consciousness. Once we know what we are dealing with we can begin the process of transmuting this destructive energy through the Law of Substitution – in other words replacing the lower (vibrational frequency) with the Higher.
Omnipotence in continuous unceasing thrusts of Divine Energy completely restores, renews, regenerates and rebuilds your life and world according to the Divine Reality. All of this is happening at every moment in time, but remember, Spirit can do for you only what it can do through you. And any obstructions, blocks, impediments and interferences are caused by the Dweller and the insanity that this thoughtform represents.
How do you clear the channels? Through an activity that impairs the dweller more than any other. It is called surrender, not to the mad hatter on the threshold, but to the Spirit. It is a giving up – a casting upon the Holy Fire within all the aspects of your mental-emotional system that it feeds on, and this must be done daily. Every single day, and hour-by-hour if necessary, until you are safely and permanently in the Secret Place, you must release everything that has caused you fear, anger, guilt, hurt and depression. These can almost always traced to your wrong thoughts, wrong words, and wrong actions. Recall the cause. Recapture the situation and bring the whole scenario into the Presence within as if on a rolled up canvas and cast it upon the Holy Fire. It is a law of the Universe that whatever you surrender to Spirit is always purified, thus unblocking Spirit’s avenues of expression through consciousness.
Thus when we start replacing our lower Ego based thoughts with much higher ones such as Love, Joy, and Peace that is when our consciousness rises dramatically and the power of the Divine Source Field becomes available to create and attract into being the wonderful material reality that we desire. When we are in a fearful or hate filled state with thoughts that push people and things away from us, or when we are feeling guilty or shameful, then we are the mercy of the material reality around us and attract into our lives things that are undesirable. Being in a loving energetic state is like having the equivalent of a nuclear reactor in terms of energy to work with in creating your material reality. While being in a fearful state is like having the energy of a firecracker – you might make some sparks, but moving mountains and creating miracles is definitely out of the question!
Mind-Body Harmony
E is another term for the Divine Source Energy that is the basis for all creation. It is the creative information and energy force that drives everything. Allowing this highest level of energy to flow through you, enables you to exist at your highest state of being and is what you use to powerfully co-create your reality. If you block, dilute, or distort it, you lower your creative potential dramatically. How? – through your lower energy thoughts, toxins in your body, electromagnetic interference of your physical/mental/emotional/spiritual energy fields (cell phones, wifi, microwaves), sound noise in your environment, and lack of connection to the source field directly (lack of exposure to nature, lack of proper breathing and access to high quality air and water).

Of all of those “blockers of Source Energy”, though all are collectively important, none is more powerful than your thoughts. Of course, when we think 50,000 thoughts a day, just saying a few good ones, and then heaping in a mess of bad ones won’t get us very far. And so we have to be careful of our thinking (and speaking) on a moment to moment basis and also realize that throughout our day, there are things that are stimulating unhelpful thoughts and feelings and potentially changing our energetic state from good to bad.
These things include what other people are saying, doing, and how they are being (their energetic state), what we are saying and doing, the types of energy we consume in terms of television, music, books, internet content, emails, texts, etc. And, since the mind and body are connected, if our body is not in good shape, is full of toxins, is not getting adequate exercise, sunlight, fresh air, water, and natural foods, then it will negatively affect our mind and thinking also.
We can also develop the capability to control our thinking through daily meditation. Meditation is to the Mind as Exercise is to the Body. Meditation gives us the capability to control the flow of thoughts and to quiet our mind so that the good remains and the bad doesn’t have an easy way to get in. Our reactivity to external stimulus goes down dramatically thus giving us greater ability to choose our thoughts. As many gurus have said in the past:
The Divine Source is the Space In-Between Your Thoughts
When we decide to be proactive in our thinking to positively define our reality, we get much more selective about the things we consume that could alter our thinking in a negative way and start to not let those things into our life anymore. We come to see how quickly our energetic state can be lowered by those things that stimulate unhelpful or low-energy thoughts within us and make our “E” crash. And, if your E is crashing and low, it directly attracts into your life people, events, and situations that are also of a low vibratory energetic frequency.
Like attracts Like in the world of Spiritual Energy.
And when we are choosing our thoughts wisely, we allow Divine Source Energy, the information stream of all creation, to work seamlessly on our physical body and regulate it back to perfect health. Current day medicine only looks at the body as a series of bio-chemical inter-actions. Energy flow within the body, as the Chinese and Indians discovered thousands of years ago, does not come into the equation. What this does is that traditional western medicine is relatively good at treating symptoms but not so good at treating the root cause of ill-health. How could it? It’s missing the complete story of how the body really works.
To be clear, I’m not saying western medicine is not useful. I’m saying it shouldn’t be an either / or situation between alternative or holistic therapies and western medicine. We should be using the best of both in order to treat the root cause of ill health. And in the process, getting rid of current therapies that are highly toxic and result in the blocking of E / Source Energy into the Human body.
But how do you know if you are at an optimum Energetic Vibration Level?
A very simple test of someone’s Energetic Frequency that I like to give is the following:
If someone is experiencing unlimited amounts of joy, love, perfect health, happiness, and abundance in all aspects of their life, then their thinking and daily energy consumption in various forms is working in their favor. If that’s not what they are experiencing, then there is a problem with their thoughts and their energetic consumption patterns in their physical environment.
The Two Frequency Generators of Love that Move Mountains and Create Miracles
So being mindful of your Energetic Vibration is the key to being happy and proactively controlling your reality. Being able to raise your energetic state would then be a key skill we should all learn. In my experience there are two key things that quickly move your Energetic State to one of Love and Higher:
Forgiveness
When we forgive someone or something, we immediately remove the energetic hold that person or situation may have had on us. We cut the cord so to speak and release ourselves from any energetic frequency reduction that person or situation could impose on us. By forgiving, we boldly choose to be in control of how we feel, not something or someone outside of us and take back control of our Energetic Frequency and dramatically raise our “E”. Forgiveness releases us to rise back to the highest level of Energetic Frequency we can possess and restores us to our natural harmonious and joyous state of being. With Forgiveness, we recognize that the “other” is actually “us” and that any differences or conflicts between us are temporary illusions that are not worthy of sustaining.
Gratitude
When we are grateful, we immediately put ourselves in the energy frequency of Love. Gratitude eliminates the separation between us and our external world. We realize it is all part of us and we recognize the inherent beauty and goodness in our surroundings. When we choose to be grateful, the universe recognizes our gratitude and provides back to us beauty and goodness in our lives. The Love Frequency rises within us and gives us the ability to powerfully create our reality and to Move Mountains. We allow the Divine Source to beam freely through us, and thus embrace our inherent capability as Divine Co-Creators.
Creating with Divine Source Energy
Once you get your Energy (E) sky high, the question then becomes, what do you want to co-create with it? In human terms we would consider this to mean what is our life’s purpose or our mission. As each of the trillions of cells in the human body has a defined purpose, so do we as human beings. When a cell loses communication and synchronization with the body’s cellular management mechanism, it becomes cancerous. It no longer works harmoniously with the rest of the body to keep it functioning well. Instead it ends up going rogue, becoming disconnected and separated from its cellular peers and goes off on its own agenda.
Humans suffer the same issue as a cancer cell – they can become disconnected from their Source of Energy and Information (E, Prana, Chi, Divine Source, The Zero Point Field) and instead of working harmoniously and holistically through their unique purpose for the best outcome for all, they instead pursue their own “ego and fear-based agendas”. As a result both they suffer and society at large.
When a person’s Energy Vibration is high however, and they are connecting cleanly to Divine Source, they are seamlessly guided to their purpose and life starts to take on a more effortless quality. You embrace your Divine Purpose, follow its impulses, and the power of the Source optimizes your physical reality to achieve your common goals. You, just as a healthy cell in your body, have decided to perform your optimum role for the good of the whole. As a result, resistance dissipates, and life takes on a more joyful and vibrant quality.
Synchronicity becomes your normal way of life. Things magically happen to make your path smooth. Information and guidance happens just at the right time for you to make the best choice for the highest good for yourself and others. In fact, you are granted access to higher levels of intelligence beyond the small “local hard drive in your head”. Anything you need to know, you can ask and be instantly given the answer. Decision making from the smallest item to the most complex issue becomes easy – you have “insider” access to the intelligence of the Divine Source. Speaking from experience, I can tell you that this is a great way to experience life. My deepest desire is that all of us will experience this in our life times.
An enlightened, high consciousness society would work hard to ensure that each of its citizens had ample time and training to develop strong access to Divine Source Energy. They could then be in full alignment with their purpose and powerfully co-create with the Divine Source to produce their unique contribution of beauty and goodness for the benefit of all. I’m sure you’ll agree, the time has definitely come for us to put that concept into practice…

Christmas as Re-Birth of the Truth and Spirit Within
During this time of year, I often wonder which of the many meanings that surround Christmas is true. Is it really to celebrate the “virgin birth” of a child that was god’s only son? Given that many scholars have now shown that the virgin birth story and the “only son” myth were found in a number of different cultures prior to the time of Jesus (including the Roman story of Mithras around 1,500 BCE), that would seem not to be the case (how many ‘only-son’s can God have…right?). Could it then be a metaphor of some sort, a symbol of something profound and meaningful that we all share and are called to participate in?
That seems to resonate with me and recently I came across one of the better explanations along those lines from author John Randolph Price writing in his book, Spiritual Philosophy for the New World. I hope you enjoy this excerpt and that the true meaning of Christmas glows ever brightly in your heart throughout the coming year. (comments below in parenthesis are my own):
“To be “four-squared” means that the individual is in balance – spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. It denotes the whole person functioning in a Fourth Dimensional Consciousness and expressing Truth of Being on the third dimensional plane.
This four-square symbolism can also be viewed from a cosmic perspective: (1) The Will of God, the Omnipresent Father, (2) the Love of Christ, the Universal Son (the collective consciousness of all humanity which everyone is a part), (3) the Intelligence of Spirit, the Holy Mother – all expressing as One in (4) the Person of Jesus Christ (one of many who attained master-level consciousness and came to demonstrate the path to Spiritual Mastery for all).
Where do you fit in this Holy Square? You are it! You are the Will of God (expressing itself through your unique personality), the Love of Christ (attaining Christ Consciousness is having Unconditional Love and Acceptance for everything and everyone), and the Intelligence of Spirit – and the story of the Divine Being (who came to show that we are all Divine, just like him). Jesus’ birth and life is a detailed map of the Path and a magnified vision of the Divine Strategm carefully planned to reveal to you your supreme value as an individual.
It has been almost 2,000 years since this Cosmic Proof incarnated on Earth as God’s Perfect Example of you, of everyone, but collectively we did not believe God and we certainly did not believe this Divine Reflection of ourselves. Perhaps it was because his teachings were so twisted and distorted, his life so controversial, his truth so outrageous. Or maybe our disbelief is simply a denial and disavowal of ourselves.
Jesus shattered the ring-pass-not of spiritual understanding. He extended the frontier of Knowledge, thus providing us with an opening through which to move out of ignorance, fear, guilt, and self-condemnation. But we retreated deeper into our ‘caves of darkness’. Over the years a few ‘got it’ and they would quietly and carefully leave messages at the door s of the caves for the ones with open minds. One by one they ventured out into the Light.
Slowly the Light spread and new secret societies were formed to explore the mysteries and prove the teachings. And in every case, in every place, Jesus was there…overshadowing the group and radiating his Energy into the consciousness of the searching souls.
Meanwhile, in the depths of the caves the masses continued to huddle, watching the shadows and listening to those seemingly with authority – those who thought they could usurp the power of God. In ignorance they taught ignorance – and Jesus lovingly looked on, knowing that even in the human sense of time the lines of light and darkness would one day converge and the lower world would cease to exist.
Nothing can hold back the Will of God. No one can change the Divine Plan. Jesus came into the world to impress on the collective consciousness that Will of the Reawakening and the Plan of Christing (the path to planetary Ascension). This Cosmic Seed, this Divine Purpose, is part of our very being, and is the way out of the illusion (of separateness and isolation from each other and the Divine Source).
The Message of the Records says, ‘You are the Holy One of God and that all the Father has is yours. You have simply forgotten, and in the forgetting you created a belief in a self that does not exist (Your Ego is not you. Find your Soul and you have found your True Self which is directly connected to the Divine Source and Everyone and Everything in Creation).
I came to show you that you can remember and be born again in Spirit. I came to show you that through the symbolism of baptism you can, with purpose of mind and heart, let go of error by releasing all to the Spirit within. I came to show you the divine possibility of your perfection so that you will therefore be perfect even as your father in heaven is perfect. I came to show you that once you have crossed out, crucified, the lower nature, you will be resurrected as the Divine Being you are. I came to reveal your Divinity by offering myself as an Example. I came to give you proof of your Identity.
What a glorious mission! But what do we do? We, unconsciously perhaps, continue to look at poor Jesus hanging on that old rugged cross as a symbol of suffering that we are supposed to endure while in physical form. How unhinged can we get? Yet we have chosen this idiocy and have interpreted it as a way of life.
Isn’t it time to take Jesus down from the cross? Isn’t it time to look again at The Book of the Way (there were over 25 gospels floating around in the 200 years beyond the life of Jesus. Don’t settle for just the 4 that were hand selected for inclusion it into the Bible by the Roman Emperor Constantine around 325 AD. Would you let a politician determine Spiritual Truth for you? Seek out all of the teachings and determine the Truth for yourself – see resources below) that he left for us and start following his instructions? Isn’t it time for each one of us to claim the seamless robe and accept our inheritance as Beings of Light? So many millions have already done so and are following this love-being, joy-filled, fun-loving, peace-giving, freedom-speaking Elder Brother right into Paradise on Earth.
We are all on that path, too, because everyone who reads these words has already passed through that first gate – the first initiation of becoming consciously aware of the indwelling Christ Presence. But we must not become complacent or we will be pulled right back through the gate into the never-never land of upside downness.
The original esoteric (hidden) meaning of Christmas was to ceremonialize and commemorate the Christ Idea and be born anew in the Spirit of Truth (the truth that there is a Divine Source that creates everything and is flowing through you and everything in existence including all of your fellow humans, nature, and animals. All are interconnected and One. Belief in separation (being different, better, or worse) from others or from our beautiful planet is an illusion and an error of thinking lead by the Ego).
To the initiates it was a holy ceremony to remember the rebirth with a rededication to the Master Self, the Christ within. Was Jesus left out of the commemoration? Hardly. His birth provided the framework, backdrop, scenario, purpose and meaning of the ceremony – so it was both a celebration and gratitude for the Great Example and Wayshower and an observance of the first door leading to mastery.”
