Cougar discrimination… AKA Ashton and Demi
You know– this subject is a sensitive one to me because my DH is 9 years younger than me. I didn't know how old he was when I met him, just that we clicked. I remember him asking me how old I was and him not telling me his age. When I heard he was 26 and I was 37 I freaked out. It almost ended there. He knew it too. He had to calm ME down. I am so glad he did. If I had let the age thing get in the way then I would have lost someone very special to me.
It hit me the other night watching the Golden Globes how the days of old still exist in many ways. Men vs Women are simply looked at differently. A man can be with a woman a ton older than him and no one jokes about it or belittles them. (Hugh Hefner is an extreme case so that doesn't count) No one says — hey — here's Catherine Zeta Jones's Dad Michael Douglas. But there was the Ashton's dad joke to Bruce Willis at the Golden Globes. Women are simply bashed for the very same thing. WHY is this? I don't understand it. And frankly, so many men just get fat and sloppy in their older age while many women work tirelessly to stay attractive because its beat into us from youth that we have to look good, be thin, have a great everything. And if a women has worked all her life to do that and then she is in her 40′s and she still looks good, better than a lot of women who are younger than here and yes I mean Demi — come on — she looks freaking awesome –then why would she settle for a man who is less invested in taking care of himself?
Then there is the other factor– you can search your entire life to find that special person and never find that connection. Why does finding that person come with punishment because of age just because you are a female? Why are females the desperate COUGARS?
SO I leave you with a photo of me — The Cougar and her catch:) Call me whatever you want but make sure 'happy' is in there somewhere.

Monday — will it be sunny or will it snow….maybe both
We started today at 59– now the snow rolls in and we will be in the 20′s tonight. Yes, welcome to Colorado Springs. I prefer the snow because its winter. Pikes Peak normally has snow coverage now. It doesn't. Very weird this year.
I just turned in final page proofs for THE LEGEND OF MICHAEL and hope to finish my second Spice Brief today.
And since we all need a daily laugh….enjoy

Update and some fun…
Well I am officially back from the dead, almost caught up on my deadlines my bad tooth and jaw infections caused. I turned in the June Spice Brief and I am hoping to finish up the July Brief Monday. I will have a fun, sexy extra chapter of the June Brief posted on my site when its released. I also have the final page proofs for LEGEND OF MICHAEL! YAY!
I have some things in the hopper as far as books go and I hope I can share soon! For those of you asking no news on what I am doing with the Knights of White YET…..Thank you so much to the fans who are eagerly awaiting this news.
I also have a site update next week with lots of excerpts, my convention schedule and more. I also have a cool Zodius series section that will go up once the designer is done. This may not be at update time but soon after.
I'll leave you until tomorrow with a laugh. Watch for Anderson Cooper! I don't deny I'm a Fox fan, not CNN. CNN's hosts just don't appeal to me. BUT I liked Larry King and I love Anderson Cooper. If they had more like the two of them I might enjoy CNN. I enjoyed the video below. I hope you do too!
