Inktober iPainting Hope
So inktober is a drawing challenge, and the word for today was Hope. Over 2,000 years ago, Hope made a stand against sin. Christ’s sacrifice defeated sin, opening a door to Salvation to all those who believe. In 2020, the Cross still points upwards to Heaven, outward calling whosoever will, and reaches down to our foundations, giving us a new life to build on!

I Believe In Writers
I can remember wanting to write a book since at least 8 years old. I was dictating things before that. For some reason, and I don’t even remember what sparked it, writing was important. Writing a book was an accomplishment.
I still believe that. Over thirty some books later, I still get excited at the possibilities of completing a book. I also get excited about the possibility of encouraging other writers to write. There is the story of how C.S. Lewis inspired to J. R. R. Tolkien to complete The Lord Of The Rings.
Writing isn’t about the writer being important, it’s about the importance of learning, sharing, and listening. The interchange, and exchange of ideas. My friends have always inspired me to write, and I wanted to give back to that. It’s the reason I wrote The Writer Encourager.
Next month, for those who don’t know, is NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month. A lot of people want to record their thoughts this year. Maybe you do, but you don’t know where to begin. You don’t need a critic, you probably already have the tools you need, but perhaps you need a friend. Someone to encourage you along the way. I’d like to be that friend.
I’ll be sharing some things next month to help on my site. Also, Amazon has my book, The Writer Encourager available now. Whether you want to get a jump start, or you’re gearing up for November 1, I hope you’ll let me help you with your writing journey. Our site is about adding value, through words and pictures, it’s about what you put down on paper, and not just what PruittWrites.
Inktober iPainting Fancy Signet
Today the prompt was fancy, as a child I was fascinated with signet rings. The fact that the power of a kingdom was behind a king’s name and signature was amazing.

Inktober iPainting Squirrel A Rodent?
In the drawing challenge called Inktober, there are drawing words you’re supposed to sketch. Did you know the squirrel is considered a rodent? It’s not what comes to my mind with the word. Life is the same way. As my Pastor Denny Livingston said recently, what may appear as a setback, is really God setting you up for something far greater!

Inktober Blade
When I saw that the #inktober prompt was blade, my mind went immediately to God’s Word, referred to as a Sword in Ephesians 6:17. His Word stilll works in 2020, and will help us overcome any obstacle we face!

Inktober Sketch Young Mr C
Inktober’s word of the day is bulk, and this is not about weight in this case, rather about impact. It’s why I chose a young Mr Churchill. His bulk was not in his size, but his impact on his day.
