It's called The Blogchatter Book of Thrillers, published by Readomania. If you enjoy thrillers or mysterious stories, you will like it. You can get it HERE or HERE.

Today, I'm happy to introduce the talented writers of this anthology! Also, let me tell you a little about the stories (as they appear in the book).

Being an Intuitive Writer/Painter

Recently, I came across a word called paracosm.

A paracosm is a detailed imaginary world created inside one's mind. This fantasy world may involve humans, animals, and things that exist in reality; or it may also contain entities that are entirely imaginary, alien, and otherworldly.

So, basically our mind is a paracosm. And it reminds me of another word called 'Jouska', which means 'a hypothetical conversation that you compulsively play out in your head.'

If you are a writer or artist, then you'd f...

Rain in My Heart by Edgar Lee Masters: My Hindi Translation

Rain in My Heart by Edgar Lee Masters.

Books That Rekindled My Interest in Horror Stories

📸: My painting

In the dead of the night, we had finished watching 'The Evil Dead' on a VCR that we rented for a day. I was a kid but I remember that I was not really scared. I even wandered in our courtyard alone while everyone dispersed, calling it a day, finally.

Then began my reading sessions with a magazine called Manohar Kahaniyan. Dadaji discouraged me from reading that magazine but I read it anyway, particularly horror stories. But I never felt scared even though I read those stories at nig...

Louisa Clark: Me Before You (and the sequels)

Yesterday, all of a sudden, Louisa Clark (the female protagonist of Me Before You, one of my favourite books) came to my mind.

What Louisa Clark was doing in Me Before You was not her dream job, of course. Her father lost his job and the responsibility of running the household fell on her shoulder. No matter how cheerful she appeared, she, obviously, felt restricted.

So, Will Traynor gave her father a job so that Clark could feel free and relieved. In the end, he gifted all his money to her so tha...

Wave: Acrylic Painting (and a poem)

My painting

चली आई है दबे पाँव,

My Translation: Sardar ―the Game Changer by Geeta Manek

August is celebrated as Women in Translation month. So, I'm happy to share my new translation 'Sardar : The Game Changer' by Geeta Manek. Geeta Manek is a Gujarati author and playwright. She has written for Gujarati cinema.

This book was originally written in Gujarati. It's been translated into Hindi by the author herself. And I am so thankful that I got an opportunity to translate this book into English.

As you can guess, it's the story of partition and how Vallabhbhai Patel played a pivotal ro...

When it was Raining

Photo: Soop Kim, Unsplash

429 words.

It's been raining relentlessly since last night. This morning has dawned gloomy yet refreshing.  I walk towards the kitchen. I know you're in the bathroom. Too excited to catch the flight for your crucial official meeting.

As I am fixing a quick breakfast, my eyes land outside the window. A white car stands, taking a shower in the rain.

Our first car.

'I like the red one,' I had said as we checked different cars at the showroom nine months ago, right after our ...
