Why Tattoo’s don’t make me trashy, low class or uneducated.
Let’s face it, after all this time some people think Tattoos are bad judgment call, trashy, low class, uneducated and beneath bug scum. They forgot not to judge. What A LOT of people do not understand, thousands of people each day have to get small tats for radiation treatments. I had Hodgkin’s Disease a form of cancer. After a year of chemotherapy, it was tat time. YES, I have 7 small round permeant tattoos on my chest that I got (wait for it) when I was 17 years old. This helped the machine line up for my radiation treatments I had to have for a year. See below the blue dot yes there are 7 of them.
Move ahead 6 years when I was pronounced cured. I got a rose on my shoulder to celebrate. Who wouldn’t want to celebrate beating cancer when you were told you have a good chance of dying?
So at this point I had 7 small tats and 1 rose that no one could see. Move along 5 more years. I got married and with my husband I got a small butterfly landing on the rose. Not even a quarter size. When he got cancer the butterfly meant a lot to me.
You can see how old the two tats are from the image and how faded the colors are.
When my mom was in her early 40’s she got a Celtic frog on the insider of her ankle. This year will be 3 years since she has passed. Two weeks ago and almost 20 years since the butterfly I decided to remember my mom and got a frog tattooed on the inside of my ankle just like my mom. NO, it is not Celtic but it is still a frog.
Just last week, I got two paw prints and two of my dogs names. Winter was our first dog and passed away from Cancer. Nanook was my dog and he passed of old age. Yes, I wanted to remember my babies.
Now just to shock you even more. My husband and I have lost 2 children before we adopted our 4 boys. I will be getting their names on my arm soon. One miscarried and one we had to bury. There is nothing worse than burying your own son.
I am educated. I went to college. I am not low class I am middle class and I do work over 40 hours a week. I am not trashy, we wear nice clothes, we have a nice house and our kids get compliments all the time with yes ma’am, no ma’am, holding doors open for people, behaving in public and helping people.
You have your opinion and you can keep it to yourself before you want to contact me when you know nothing about me or my background.
God does not judge! He loves me the way I am or he would not give me cancer, let me lose 2 children, become a diabetic, give my husband cancer that has NO cure, lose my mom at an early age and being a single parent during the week while hubby works at 60 hour week out of town. I keep on going like he wants and he will not judge me because I have marks on my body. I love the way I am and I will not change for anyone.

Pre-Order & New Release by Tonya Ramagos! #Babsbookbistro
PRE-ORDER
When state arson investigator Tamara Royce is summoned to Pleasure, Tennessee by one well-placed phone call from the Barlow brothers, she knows her mind, body, and heart are in trouble. She’s resisted the brothers’ advances for too long. Two things kept her from submitting to her deepest, darkest desires. She refuses to choose as adamantly as Darryl refuses to share her with Seth and Colt. She’s also afraid Seth will attempt to control her entire world. But, when she faces off with them as she works to catch an arsonist, she quickly learns there’s no amount of inner strength that will save her from their beds.
Seth, Colt, and Darryl Barlow’s dominance varies, but their desire for the super-sexy and, so far, unattainable Tamara is one in the same. They’re willing to make compromises within themselves in their quest to claim her, but will that be enough or will the burning pleasure they give her leave their heart in ashes?

In the wake of a deception that shocked Station 4’s C-shift, put everyone under a microscope, and left Engine Company 2 two firefighters short, Lieutenant Cameron Slovaks and firefighter Korlin Jenkins know they should treat their new coworkers like any of the guys. Except, one of them is a headstrong, whip-smart, irresistible sex-kitten and she has her sights set on them.
Julia Patrick’s life goal was to be a firefighter. Now, she’s fresh from the academy, assigned to Station 4’s C-shift, and convinced her dream is colliding with a nightmare. She may be new to the job, but she knows heat when she feels it. The spark between her, Cameron, and Jenk is strong enough to ignite one amazing fire. But can they be trusted or are they keeping a toxic secret? Determined to find out, she gets closer to them. Then her life is threatened, and she can’t help but wonder if they are who wants her dead.

Interview with Edith Maxwell – Cozy Mystery Author
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
E: First, thanks for asking me over, Babs! I’m a Californian and world traveler transplanted to New England. I had a number of seemingly unconnected prior careers – linguistics professor, organic farmer, doula, technical writer – all of which now provide material for my mystery novels now that I write fiction full time. I’m also a proud mom of two fine adult sons, a gardener, an amateur chef, and a reader.
How would you describe your books to readers?
E: I write cozy and traditional mysteries with regular people solving crimes. A farmer, a midwife, a chef, or a professor in a village-based setting finds herself enmeshed in a murder. By the end of my books, in which violence, sex, and obscenities are all off the page, justice and balance are restored to the town. All is well again – except for the victim and the villain, of course.
What are you currently working on?
E: I’m polishing Mulch Ado about Murder, my fifth Local Foods Mystery, and then I’ll start working on the third Quaker Midwife Mystery, possibly titled Breaking the Chain.
Of the books you’ve written, which one is your favorite and why?
E: Usually it’s the book that just came out! So right now Delivering the Truth is my favorite. I love being immersed in 1888 with my Quaker midwife hearing secrets and catching both babies and murderers in the historic town where I live.
What books have most influenced you as a writer?
E: That’s a hard question. I guess I’d have to say the mysteries of greats like Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers, and Arthur Conan Doyle. I’ve been reading them since I was a child (and giving myself nightmares as a result!). When I decided to try my hand at writing fiction about twenty years ago, it just seemed natural to create a mystery novel.
What do you find to be the most challenging part of writing? And the most rewarding?
E: Getting my arms around the entire story is ever a challenge. I, and many authors, always get bogged down somewhere in the second third of the book. I have to keep track of everything I’ve already written and keep the story moving forward without getting lost. It’s tricky. But now that I’ve written eleven novels, all of which are either published or will be, I no longer panic. I know I have to just push through. Once the first draft is done, I’ll be able to refine and tinker until it all shines and the puzzle works. And that’s very rewarding.
What can we look forward to seeing from you in the future?
E: Now that Delivering is launched, the next two books to release are Murder Most Fowl, Local Foods Mystery number four, and Grilled for Murder, Country Store Mystery number two – both at the end of May!
Is there anything you’d like to share with your readers?
E: I love to hear from readers. Find me on Facebook or twitter. Check out my web site and send me an email. Come to one of my events if you’re in New England! Authors are nowhere without readers and I appreciate every single one.
Book blurb:
In Delivering the Truth, Quaker midwife Rose Carroll becomes a suspect when a difficult carriage factory manager is killed after the factory itself is hit by an arsonist. Struggling with being less than a perfect Friend, Rose delivers the baby of the factory owner’s mistress even while the owner’s wife is also seven months pregnant. After another murder, Rose calls on her strengths as a counselor and problem solver to help bring the killers to justice before they destroy the town’s carriage industry and the people who run it.
Bio:
Agatha-nominated and Amazon best-selling author Edith Maxwell writes the Quaker Midwife Mysteries and the Local Foods Mysteries, the Country Store Mysteries (as Maddie Day), and the Lauren Rousseau Mysteries (as Tace Baker), as well as award-winning short crime fiction. Her story, “A Questionable Death,” which features the same 1888 setting and characters as Delivering the Truth, is nominated for a 2016 Agatha Award for Best Short Story.
Edith is Vice-President of Sisters in Crime New England and Clerk of Amesbury Friends Meeting. She lives north of Boston with her beau and three cats, and blogs with the other Wicked Cozy Authors. You can find her on Facebook, twitter, Pinterest, and at her web site, edithmaxwell.com.

Bluetooth Selfie Stick For iPhone – iPhone 5, 6, 6 plus Review
I received the Bluetooth Selfie Stick a few days ago to review. I am not too much into selfies but I though it would be great for the family. With 4 kids and hubby it is hard to get a good picture of all of us together. There is always someone taking the picture and getting left out.
The thing I like most about the stick is the button to take pictures is on the handle it self.
Closed as you can see the stick is not that long maybe 9 to 10 inches. The phone fits nicely in the holding section and easy to lock. I have the iPhone 6 plus. Easy to connect the bluetooth. And the instructions are great and easy to follow. Everything about this stick is easy.
Comes with a great charging cord that plus into the bottom of the stick.
I received this product at a discounted rate for my honest and unbiased review.

Star Crossed, Book 3 of the StarTide Agency Series ($3.99)
The Slut (actress Jenna Stone) and the Stud (rocker Dane Hadley) haven’t seen each other since their relationship imploded, a decade ago. Now their careers depend on each other. Is it true love? Or are they doomed to be forever Star Crossed?
BETTER THAN THE MOVIE
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl who lived in Los Angeles, and who wanted nothing more than to be loved. But from the time she was thirteen, Jenna Stone has been marketed, pimped out and bartered, all for another person’s dreams of fame. Jenna has certainly enjoyed being a star, but what she’s missed was being special. Her new movie deal might make her just that. Except the WWII period drama will co-star the one man whom she mistakenly let get close. That can never happen again.
One-time actor Dane Hadley has loved his success as a rock star, but after his band broke up, a return to acting seems the best way to keep the money rolling in. Except his co-star is none other than Jenna Stone, the only girl he ever loved, and the woman who crushed his heart. Working together will be nothing but business…until it isn’t. And with villains, plot twists and successes better than even Hollywood can write them, true love seems suddenly possible, after all. And the paparazzi will be there to catch everything…

So, about me. The short version of the bio is, I’m still 17 at heart, I used to be a ballet dancer and yes, I still miss dancing the way I did when I was 17. I’m a romantic from way back, and I’m a writer who currently has a Day Job as an Office Manager.
I grew up in San Diego, fell in love with another dancer, and married him. We’ve got two tall sons and live in Ventura County, California. But probably one of the most important things to know about me is, I’m a hugger. I hug. I touch. It’s one of the ways I process people. So if you see me coming, know I’ll reach out and give you a hug.

Wouldn’t It Be Deadly: An Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins Mystery book review
Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins make an incomparable pair of sleuths in the start of a delightful new series
Following her successful appearance at an Embassy Ball―where Eliza Doolittle won Professor Henry Higgins’ bet that he could pass off a Cockney flower girl as a duchess―Eliza becomes an assistant to his chief rival Emil Nepommuck. After Nepommuck publicly takes credit for transforming Eliza into a lady, an enraged Higgins submits proof to a London newspaper that Nepommuck is a fraud. When Nepommuck is found with a dagger in his back, Henry Higgins becomes Scotland Yard’s prime suspect. However, Eliza learns that most of Nepommuck’s pupils had a reason to murder their blackmailing teacher. As another suspect turns up dead and evidence goes missing, Eliza and Higgins realize the only way to clear the Professor’s name is to discover which of Nepommuck’s many enemies is the real killer. When all the suspects attend a performance of Hamlet at Drury Lane, Eliza and Higgins don their theatre best and race to upstage a murderer.
This reimagining of George Bernard Shaw’s beloved characters is sheer pleasure. Wouldn’t It Be Deadly transports readers to Edwardian London, from the aristocratic environs of Mayfair to the dangerous back alleys of the East End. Eliza and Henry steal the show in this charming traditional mystery.
My thoughts:
Many of you know I love Audrey Hepburn. My Fair Lady is my all time favorite movie. My family laughs as I watch it at least once a month. Can you imagine my surprise when I got this book in my hands or I should said iPad.
I feel in love with the story in the first few pages. The story takes place after the Embassy Ball and Eliza takes a job with Nepommuck as his assistant. When Higgins and Pickering come back from Spain they are surprised to find out she is working with him. She had to do something to make a living and she didn’t want to get the flower shop as of yet.
Things start to go wrong when Eliza comes to work and the hall way is all dark. Someone knocks her over and in the process Nepommuck thinks she has lost her mind when he finds her. When Higgins burst through her door later that day he makes a big scene which causes even more stress on Eliza. Not to mention Mary, one of Eliza’s pupils clings to Nepommuck in horror of Higgins.
Higgins decides to tell the truth about Nepommuck in the local newspaper. Shortly after Nepommuck is found dead. Now Eliza has to try and save Higgins from going to jail which might be hard when he is hiding where he was on the morning of the murder.
The authors did a wonderful job with this story. There were a lot of laugh out loud moments, twists, wonderful character interaction. You can hear Audrey and Rex in this story. Eliza is a hoot there is one scene on the stage that is so funny I dropped my tablet.
The best part about the book is all the characters are brought in from the movie. Mrs Higgins, Freddy, & Mrs Pearce keeping everyone inline. I could not put the book down it is that good.
I am already reading Move Your Blooming Corpse the second book in the series and loving it.
