WHAT WILL YOU LEAVE BEHIND?

WHAT WILL YOU LEAVE BEHIND?

We all leave some trace of ourselves behind. It could be something that we had created like a book or a piece of artwork. It could also be something simple like a laugh, a smile, or even a joke.
What will you leave behind?
Will it be straightforward like tracks in the sand that others can easily follow? Will it be a feeling that remind people of you?
Do we want others to remember us? Do we want loved ones to think of us fondly?
This will only happen if we work at it. We must be careful to be good people and not hurt anyone unjustly.  It is definitely worth the extra effort.

MANY FACES OF....

MANY FACES OF….

This is a great picture. How many faces do you see?
We show different faces to the world at different times. We can appear happy, sad, troubled, friendly, hostile, secretive, honest, consoling, mysterious, and so on….
But what face is the true face? What do we really feel inside?
Unfortunately, when we speak to someone, we don’t know if we’re seeing their true face or the face they are determined to show to the world. Given the circumstances, we could make an educated guess. But it is just a guess. Only the person who owns the face knows his true self. And maybe we don’t really want to know what he or she is thinking.

On the long journey of life, we leave our tracks behind for others to follow.

MIRROR IMAGE

What do you see when you gaze at your own reflection?
Are you pleased with what you see? Is it a mirror image of what you are inside?
Reflections could be deceiving.
Houses may appear cheerful and colorful on the outside, but what about the people who live in these homes? Are they happy or are they sad?
The sky may appear calm at night, but a storm may be soon approaching.
The mountains stand proud and tall, but they might be treacherous to navigate through.
Once our shells are peeled away, we might not like what we see.

THE DEAD GAME

THE DEAD GAME The Dead Game is a supernatural thriller. Its a cross between the TV shows Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries. Linda moved to a small town to live a quieter and simpler life. She opened a bookstore and made new friends. Life was simple—that is until the dead body washed up on shore. Linda was horrified to find out that dead bodies and disappearing tourists were common for this town. As soon as the sun set, she and her friends were stalked by dark shadows. But this was only the beginning.Linda and her group received an unsigned invitation to a party at the deserted house on the hill. They were afraid of the unfriendly hill residents. Residents that only ventured out of their homes at night. They did attend the party. Pursued through revolving rooms and dangerous traps, they barely escaped with their lives. Two of their own remained trapped in the house. Or so they thought. The Dead Game had begun. http://outskirtspress.com/thedeadgame http://amazon.com/author/susanneleist

TWO FACES

TWO FACES

We all have two faces. One that we show to the world and the other that we keep safely hidden inside. What if everyone was unafraid to show their true self? Would the world be a better place to live in? We would never have to second guess whether someone was being truthful or not. We would all see what was real and not an illusion created by others.

It is easier to have two faces. That is why I believe that it is not going to change. Sometimes I wish that people would take the harder route and be truthful. I do that. Unfortunately, the most common reaction is surprise and skepticism. It is still worth a try.

TO DREAM OF SPRING

As the weather turns colder, let us think about the spring. The beautiful blossoms that pop up everywhere. The warm wind ruffling the leaves. The green meadows of grass. Keep your eyes closed and enjoy the sweet smell of the flowers. Hold on a little bit longer. When you open your eyes, you might feel a little bit more relaxed and hopeful. It works for me.
