(via BRUSHSTROKES)
Broad brushstrokes of blue and grayflow to greet the perfect day.
The meandering swipes of teal
mirror how you make me feel.
The foaming white swells drift apart
as your kiss lingers in my heart.
My fingers reach for the brush,
but I tell my mind to hush.
No painting needed today
to capture the perfect day.
Nature speaks of the time
when you were only mine.

(via INTO THE WOODS)
Into the woods, I flee,
Yearning to be set free.
I don’t know which way to go.
I turn around, to and fro.
A light shines between the trees.
I peek between the thick leaves.
No one is along the path.
I can do the simple math.
It’s him against me.
I’ll never be free.

(via TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT)
TAKE IT TO THE LIMITTake the night to the limit,
The road to its end,
The sun to its setting.
Allow no stone unturned,
No drama incomplete,
No sentence unwritten.
Take the road to the limit,
To a future yet to happen,
To times better spent.
Raise a glass to adventure,
A smile to the road taken,
Leaving no road untaken.

(via BY THE SEA)
BY THE SEACome with me to the pool by the sea.
Oasis is the best place to be.
Relax by the pool or sit at the bar.
Tourists visit this place from near and far.
I think I’ll take a dip in the pool.
I am definitely not a fool.
I’d never pass up a chance for fun
Or a tan in the Florida sun.
Wait. Come and look over here.
I found a book on the chair.
A small town is a beautiful place.
I see the stunned look on your face.
Oasis Hotel resembles this one.
But it isn’t always fun in the sun.
It is a haven for The Dead.
Is the heat going to your head?
The sky is turning dark.
Shadows appear in the park.
What’s that standing behind you?
It’s not one shadow, but two.
More shadows come ashore.
I will not wait for more.
Our destiny seems to be in this book.
I’m leaving now without a second look.

(via SING ME A SONG)
Sing me a love song.
Rhyme me a sad tale.
The woe of heartbroken lovers
whose tinny cries take to the air.
The needle rides the grooves.
Round in a circle, it goes.
No beginning or end.
Like a tear that refuses to fall.
A song without an end.
The melody echoes through eternity.
One jump and scratch at a time.

(via OUR SPECIAL PLACE)
When the music plays,
And your body sways,
Let my arms hold you,
And my body spoons you.
We’ll sashay to our own beat
And let the town fall at our feet.
As the demons fall from grace,
This remains our special place.

(via THE SEA RUNS RED)
At the end of the journey,
where the sea runs red,
the nights grow long,
dark shadows roam free,
and The Dead come to play.

(via DANCE WITH ME)
Dance with me until the moon hides its face,
And the sun attempts to quicken the pace.
From the sunlight, the vampire turns his face,
And dancers twirl to the light’s frenzied pace.
