2015, you're gonna be hard to beat.

2015 has been an astonishing year. In May I met some awesome folks at Book Expo America in New York City, andCity of Fae was published by Bloomsbury (Ivisited their New York offices and meet some of the fabulous Spark authors while there). I count myself lucky to be a part of the international Bloosmbury team, and frankly I'll take any excuse to visit their central London office! In 2015, I signed with super agent Hannah Sheppard of DHH Literary Agency London. Any agent that takes her

Why blog?

Hello all and welcome to my new blog. So, why am I starting a blog? 1, I do most of my chatting on Facebook, but Facebook is making it more and more difficult for my nonsense witterings to reach people who might actually want to read them. Plus, I've had readers contact me who don't use Facebook, and those people don't get a chance to chat with me in real time. 2, It's nice to have some personality on the website. Each blog post will have a comments box, and I'd love for you all to come

**COVER REVEAL** (& competition)

It's here, it's here, I can finally reveal the gorgeous cover for Chaos Rises

As with the Veil Series, Chaos Rises is an epic urban fantasy with grit. There will be plot twists, action, snark, sexy times, and demons—many demons: wild ones, lesser ones, half ones, vicious ones, bad ones, good ones, somewhere-in-between-ones, and sexy ones.

You'll meet Gem, our main character, and Del her brother. Both born in a lab and raised by the institute, both now on the run. There's Torrent, the man with a forgotten past; and Allard, the demon who buys and sells his lesser brethren, and who rules LA's streets like a king (or should that be a prince?).

I could go on...but: spoilers!

I cannot freakin' wait for you to read it. But, alas, it's not out yet. In the meantime, you can follow my Pinterest page here, where I'll regularly be pinning images that represent the characters, themes, and locations in Chaos Rises.

If you're an iBooks reader, you can pre-order Chaos Rises today for just 99c here

To celebrate the cover reveal, I'm giving away a signed paperback copy of the bestselling urban fantasy series that started it all - Beyond The Veil - over on Bitten By Books - click here.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

New book news, snippets, & cool stuff...

Time for an update! I'll keep this quick (must get back to writing). Here's rough idea of all the things happening in the next few months:

Firstly, Girl From Above 3: Trapped is finished! It's due to hit the shelves at the end of November or very early December. Caleb's on his usual fine form, trying to screw over everyone else before they get a chance to screw him over first. Throw in some riots, betrayals, deaths (some grizzly), fleeting kisses, painful truths, explosions, sex... and you have a typical GFA book ;) Add it to your shelves here: Girl From Above Trapped (The 1000 Revolution, #3) by Pippa DaCosta

***

I'm finishing up edits for City of Fae #2 which is due to go off to the publisher at the end of December. People are going missing from all over London. Alina suspects her nemesis, General Kael is behind it and won't stop until she sees him revealed as a liar and a monster. The problem is, she's more like him than she cares to admit. Cover coming soon! I've seen the mock-ups and it's gorgeous. Add it to your shelves here: City of Fae #2, (City of Fae, #2) by Pippa DaCosta

I'm about to start the first draft of a very exciting project for 2016. The Chaos Series! Woot! The first book, Chaos Rises, has a tentative release date of April 2016. I've already filled a notebook with my internal ramblings, character sheets, plot arcs, key scenes, and more. I simply cannot wait to introduce you to a new cast of deadly, intriguing, and sexy characters. Gem, Delta, Torrent, Allard, and more. You can take a sneaky peek on my Pinterest page by clicking here (For any new fans, don't worry, you do not have to read the Veil Series to enjoy the Chaos Series).
Cover news will be coming in November. Add the book to your selves here: Chaos Rises (Chaos, #1) by Pippa DaCosta

I spend way too much time on social media, so if you'd like to contribute to my procrastination, hop on over to Twitter & Facebook.

And before I go (this turned into a much longer post than I'd planned - sorry!), I'll leave you with some fun facts and a snippet from Girl From Above 3:

1, In 'Trapped' Caleb says fuck and its many variations a grand total of 194 times (compared to 146 times in Book 1).
2, 'Trapped' will be around 44,000 words after edits (Book 1 was 41,000. I don't have target word counts for any of the Girl From Above books, they have as many words as the story requires, be that 40,000 or 90,000).
3, 'Trapped' has the highest body-count of all three books so far.
4, Chapter One has a sex scene and a death scene. Now ask me if it's the same scene ;)
5, #1001 likes the rain.

***

“Does the past ever leave us?” Caleb asked, his smile fading away.
“It is always there,” I replied softly. “It is who you are.”
He tapped his fingers on the arm of his flightchair. “Not you. You could erase yours?”
We both stared out of the obs window, our gazes lost among the crowd. “But then who would I be?”
He blinked and looked at me. “You’d be you.”

'One For Sorrow' A New Muse Short Story

Muse and Ryder are back in 'One For Sorrow' The Veil Series #5.5.

‘Routine call,’ Ryder had said. But when Muse arrives at the abandoned house, there’s nothing routine about the demon waiting inside. His trap is set, and he knows the Mother of Destruction has one weakness:

Akil.

I can't say too much without spoilers. It's fun, dark, opens up a few questions for the sister series I'll be working on next year, and we get a glimpse of what life is like for our favorite characters after the events of #5 Ties That Bind.

More Muse! Yeehaw!

Release dates coming soon (October). Meanwhile, please add it to your Goodreads shelves and spread the word.

Something wicked this way comes...in August!

I have good news and bad news, and some more good news. It’s been a crazy July, with some exciting changes afoot. Firstly, I can now confirm that City of Fae is getting a sequel! Yay! More Alina & Reign, more creepy fae living under London, and a whole load of intrigue to come. City of Fae 2 is due for release in May 2016. You can add it to your shelves here.City of Fae #2

I’m currently working on a traditional fantasy (sword and sorcery, with a faster pace) which my agent is eagerly awaiting. You can track my thought processes on Pinterest here.

But, due to these two commitments, I’ve had to delay the release of Girl From Above 3: Trapped. This is not a decision I’ve made lightly. Like you, I want to see what Caleb, #1001 & Fran do next (although, technically, I already know, but where’s the fun in that?) Depending on how the year progresses, I may be able to get back to Girl From Above in a couple of months. However, I’ve had to tentatively move the publication date back to early 2016. I am sorry I’ve had to do this, but there’s only so many projects I can cram in my head at once without burning out, and I really want to give Caleb & Co the commitment and attention they deserve. If I can bring the date forward, I will.

That’s the bad news, but wait, there’s more good news! There is a short story coming from Caleb & Co in the Galaxy Chronicles, a rocking anthology from some fantastic sci-fi authors, due out in August/Sept. In my contribution ‘Falling’, it’s just another day on the black for Caleb Shepperd, until he’s trapped in a silo with a woman he’s been hired to kill (I wonder who she could be?). Once I have my grabby hands on the cover and release date, I’ll let you know.

Also! Yes more good news and the reason for that scrummy ‘HOT’ image. Early August, something hot is hitting virtual bookshelves. Thirteen heart-stopping stories by best selling authors, with fierce and feisty heroines, diabolic intrigue, romance, adventure, danger, and mystery … (Authors include SM Reine, Kate Danley, Deanna Chase, Marie Hall, Sarra Cannon, Liz Schulte, Sara Roethle, Lola St Vil, Melinda VanLone, Carolynn Gockel, Christine Pope, Debra Dunbar & me!)
Get those one-click buying fingers ready & add it to your shelves here.Demons & Djinn (13 Book Limited Edition Bundle) by Christine Pope

Okay, I think that’s everything. As always, stay up to date by chatting with me on Facebook. and join my mailing list.

Happy reading!

The Crazy Sci-Fi Spawns A Sequel!

If you've been following me (not literally I hope, that'd be weird), you'll know that writing sci-fi was kinda off-the-wall crazy, at a time when I'd become known for writing urban fantasy.

Well, the first book Girl From Above: Betrayal has definitely hit a sweet spot with readers. I wanted to write sci-fi that I'd enjoy reading. In other words, trim all the technobabble and give me the story already! I think I've achieved that, and readers seem to agree. I've been blown away by the amazing response so far.

Hot on the heels of Book 1 comes Girl From Above 2: Escape released TODAY!

To celebrate, I'm running two Giveaways. A Goodreads giveaway on Book 2's GR page (click above link) and a Facebook giveaway for both books 1 & 2. The paperback copy of Book 2 is a VERY SPECIAL PROOF EDITION. There are just 2 copies of this proof book, and I will always have the other one, making it super rare.

Hop on over to my Facebook page to enter or join my mailing list here to be automatically entered. I'll be drawing a winner at random on Thursday June 25th, 2015.

In the meantime, if you haven't tried my sexy, dirty sci-fi series yet, go give it a shot. Book 1 & 2 are just 99c each right now, and FREE with Kindle Unlimited.

I'm currently in the process (and on a deadline-yikes!) of writing something very special from the same world. More on that to follow soon.

Have a great weekend filled with much reading!

Pippa

Are you ready to meet the London fae?

It's here! City of Fae is out today. Are you ready to meet the fae who inhabit London? They're gorgeous, of course, it's how they hunt. You'll be fine, just so long as you don't touch them.

I had so much fun bringing City of Fae into the world. The two main characters are feisty, kick-ass, and riddled with secrets.

If you've read my books before, you'll know by now to never take anything at face value. So, buckle up and enjoy the ride.
