Should I Eat a Doughnut or Chocolate Ice Cream?

I’m trying to eat better. Honest! My sweet tooth got away from me this past Autumn. From the week before Halloween through Christmas, I had very little self-control. What can I say? I’m a stress eater and addicted to chocolate, and that’s the season for both. Not to mention all of the holiday events where it’s rude not to partake. Ok, that might be an excuse.

But now I’m trying to get back on track and that’s never easy. When I fall off the wagon of healthy eating, I get food amnesia. I’ll tel...

Contact Relationship Management (CRM) Systems for doTERRA Wellness Advocates

If you’re serious about building your doTERRA business, you’ll want a good system for keeping track of customers. Some Wellness Advocates get along fine with using a notepad or Excel, but if you want to take your business to the next level, a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system could be a great addition. CRMs allow you to keep a database of contact info, emails, and phone calls, as well as create tasks so you never forget to complete a request or make contact. When you’re building y...

Ship Your Enemies Glitter!

Anyone who has ever crafted or worn a sparkly costume knows there is nothing more frustratingly impossible than trying to get rid of glitter. You find it in your hair, on your clothes, in your carpet…It sticks around for MONTHS!

And now, you can impose that same torture on your worse enemy.

Orange Pancakes

Eating Orange Pancakes

Eating Orange Pancakes

I’m not a professional chef or even that fantastic of a cook, but I like to share recipes that make my toddler happy. I know how hard it can be sometimes to get them to eat and have found luck in trying other people’s suggestions…So, here’s mine!

My little one loves pancakes, because they’re easy for her to eat, but I don’t like her to have all the sugar that’s in maple syrup. So, I try to flavor-up the pancakes to make them fun and healthier to eat. She usually eats blue...

Meet Edgar…I Did!

Meet EdgarIf you do a lot of social media work, chances are you’ve been targeted by ads on Facebook for the new social media tool Edgar (“Meet Edgar”). The ads promise an update scheduler unlike any other. However, if you’ve been using Hootsuite, Buffer, or any other similar tool, you’ll notice that there isn’t a huge difference in the list of features. They all schedule posts to major social media sites at specific times, while implementing URL shorteners and some form of statistics. Matter-of-fact, y...

Goodbye 2014 – Don’t let the door hit you on the way out!

Goodbye 2014It appears that 2014 is going out with a bang and not in a good way. For me, that is. I think it’s a sign that I need to reevaluate some things.

It started on Christmas Eve when I got a package. My out-of-state sister, who I felt I had a good amount in common with, decided to return my Christmas present to me. Part of it was even something she requested. Of course, this made me feel like crap. Isn’t saying “thank you” and secretly getting rid of the present the more polite thing to do?

Monday c...

December 2014 Loot Crate Reveal

It’s time for another Loot Crate reveal! December’s theme is…ANNIVERSARY! But first…

Dear Loot Crate,

Will you please start including pants and underwear in your boxes? We have t-shirts and socks, which I love, but if we’re going to get Mr. Awesome’s wardrobe completely refreshed with your geeky sweetness, we’re going to need to change this up a bit.

Sincerely,

Meghan

For those of you not familiar with Loot Crate, here’s a little background…If you are a fan of pop culture or video games, you’ll lo...

Men, Don’t Do THIS When Buying Gifts for Your Lady

Best Buy Email

Best Buy Email

Men, this post is just for you. Not saying a woman wouldn’t do it, but, sorry, the odds are not in your favor…

Most men I know wait until the last minute to buy gifts and many decide the best approach is to go straight to the store that their wife/girlfriend is always shopping at to purchase a gift for her. It’s not a bad idea: there’s a high probability that she’ll like whatever you buy her. But….

AND THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT….

When the cashierist at the counter asks if you have wha...

What you’ll need:

Review: The Fault in Our Stars (Audiobook)

The Fault in Our Stars Audiobook

The Fault in Our Stars Audiobook

Every month, I try to do an audiobook review. Last month, I purchased “The Fault in Our Stars” by John Green. I heard a lot of good things about this book, so I decided to listen to the audiobook version narrated by Kate Rudd for my monthly selection. I downloaded it on audible and got to listening.

Here’s the synopsis from Amazon:

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final ch...
