Are you in Kindle Unlimited? I need your help.
Reach out to me at terrymaggertbooks.com, I have a favor to ask.
It seems that there's a glitch in the Amazon features and I'd like to run a test--- it won't cost you any money, but it would help me out tremendously. All you have to do is get one of my titles (most are in KU), read a few pages, and tell me how many. That's it.
Thanks in advance!
Terry

Outlander Casting, Audiobooks, and Candy
It's October.
That means that eating peanut butter cups every day isn't just fun, it's patriotic. I consider it my solemn duty to support the United States economy by consuming as much candy as possible in and around holidays where gorging on chocolate is perfectly acceptable. Did you know that Reese's has a peanut butter cup the size of a manhole cover? It's true. They weigh a pound. Before anyone asks, YES I have a source and YES I will be eating them, quietly in my car why I think...

How I Spent My Summer: By Terry
What a fantastic summer.
It can be summed up as follows:
Lots of book events.
Many new friends.
Pie.
Coffee.
Running.
Repeat as necessary.
As evidence, I offer the following:
Because glasses are serious business in Wisconsin.
This is The Katy. She runs a blog, writes, and smiles. It's her thing.
Kristine is a writer who asked me to be on her book cover as a gambler named Dallas. I don't have a beard, and could not grow one overnight. I was rather let down by my own limitations.
Also, if you blather...

Outlander Finale: Gutted.
Amazing.
I ran out of superlatives about thirty minutes into the episode, and didn't really process everything until some time later. The key to Outlander is making fictional people as real as the historical figures they're surrounded by.
Case in point: Bonnie Prince Charlie.
Survey says-- throat punch. Good Lord, how did someone like that ever aspire to be anything other than a professional coward? Kudos to Andrew Gower for taking a role playing someone so reviled.
And-- lest I forget...

About Orlando
I write books, but I also teach history. My fields are military history and religion. They go together, as evidenced by the horrific things done in the name of God.
More than fifty people are dead because a coward named Omar Mateen saw two men kissing, became enraged, and planned-- in cold blood-- an act of war.
Let me offer some unsolicited advice about God. If your God commands you to kill, then there is no room in my life for your god.
Christianity is, depending on your notion of time,...

Outlander: No memes. No jokes this week.
What I learned this week:
1. Cait won the Emmy.
2. That episode makes everyone reconsider their own (often painful) history.
I wrote this in 1998 after we lost a child. Hope it holds up over time.
Stillborn
His physician's coat rustlesas he leaves- the door glides shut, to leave my wifeand I alone with the fluorescent humof the lights, a cold steel tableand our sadness. Our spirits as empty as her wombher shuffle is tender, towards the doorto the careach step normaljust like my stop at the nurs...

YA Heroine: Meet Livvy Foster
I'd like to introduce you to Livvy Foster, the heroine from Heartborn, which will arrive on your Kindles and in stores this September.
I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be working with Lauren Flatt, who captures the mood, beauty, and strength I wanted to portray.
Meet Lauren.
The cover will be shot by Chattanooga photographer Adrienne McNellis (see her work here ). She captures the fantasy and wonder that I'm looking for, and we'll be in the beautiful hills of East Tennessee to boot....

Epic YA Fantasy: You're gonna need armor!
I'm entering the fray of YA writing this year.
I have chosen to do so with a team of experts. It isn't for the faint of heart. In order to make certain my language is correct, I have some exceptionally kind people helping (Cosplayer Abby DeMersseman and Author Kate Higginbotham have been in on this since the ground floor), as well as a LOT of adult fans who read YA.
So, in essence, I'm proceeding carefully in order to make certain my story is as lush as when I first dreamed it. That's correct--...
