PROMO BLITZ: Beneath The Surface by Miranda Rae Carter
Book Title: Beneath the Surface
Author: Miranda Rae Carter
Genre: YA Paranormal
Release Date: October 22, 2013
Hosted by: Book Enthusiast Promotions
Adolescence hasn’t been fun for Liss Lawrence. And after a year in Vancouver, when she’s finally adjusted to her new situation, a freak car accident sends her life spinning out of control and crashing into the world of the malions, a hidden race silently helping humanity from secret enclaves underground.
Liss’s knowledge of the malions endangers her family when Jaredsons Securities takes an interest in her accident. Few know the men of Jaredsons Securities, an international intelligence company specializing in missing persons cases, are actually the Vykhars, ancient malion enemies whose true purpose is the eradication of the malion race. The Vykhars will stop at nothing to discover if Liss is connected with the malions, and if they do, they will exploit her.
Perhaps more dangerous still are Liss’s growing feelings for Rion, a strong-willed malion scarred by his encounters with Vykhars and carrying a secret that could destroy their relationship. But Liss has a secret and scars of her own, and Rion’s fiercely protective nature threatens to tear them back open.
Can this pair of unlikely lovers survive the dangers of the Vykhars? And can their love survive their own misconceptions?
As my door closed, I rolled onto my side and looked at the bag on the floor again. Rion had put himself, his entire family, and Abby, at risk for me, a complete stranger, and instead of feeling glad to be home, I felt horrible.
I took a deep breath and pushed myself up to sitting. It took every bristle of strength I had to get up to walk over to that bag of clothes; not just because of my sore muscles, but because they reminded me of him, and the problems I’d created when I insisted that he let me go.
I poured them onto the carpet, sat down beside them, and hugged them as tight as I could. I hadn’t even taken a second to think about what I was doing, it was automatic. I think I was craving some sort of comfort after everything that had happened this weekend, and holding those clothes was like holding onto the part of me I’d left behind. I pulled the clothes closer to my face, and took a deep breath in—they still smelled of him.
My heart began to pound.
Pine, leather, and that musty underground smell of his world had me roiling inside. It was so strong. I inhaled again, recalling the moment Rion had smiled at me. It wasn’t forced, we had actually connected, and when he carried me in his arms, I felt awkward, but safe…and so warm. I desperately wanted to feel that way again; I wanted to know everything was going to be all right again. And then I heard something crinkle.
I ripped open the pile of clothes and found the paper in the pocket of my jeans, and though the letters were difficult to decipher at first, I managed to read his messy, all-capitals chicken-scratch.
YOU WILL BE WATCHED CLOSELY. IF I SENSE ANY DANGER, I AM COMING FOR YOU.

♣
I sat there staring at the words, confused, because he said that we couldn’t have any further contact. I read the note again and realized it was the vykhars he was warning me about.
I shoved everything back into the plastic bag and opened my closet door. Rion’s scent was all over the clothes, and I needed to find a safe place to store them. In a few months, when everything settled down, I’d put them into a donation bin.
I took out an old backpack, shoved the bag in and threw it to the back of my closet. When they were securely covered by three layers of last summer’s wardrobe, and I felt satisfied that they were hidden well enough, I slumped down on my bed. Even though I was completely exhausted, I couldn’t shut my mind off.
When I thought about Mom, I had no doubt that coming home was the right decision, but I had no idea how messed up my life would become. Everyone’s life had been put on hold this weekend because of me: my parents missed work and I’d worried them sick, Katherine cut all ties with me, I had driven the best doctor in B.C. into hiding, I still hadn’t faced police questioning, I was apparently going to be watched closely by these vykhars, and, oh yes, I still had to go back to school and face my peers.
Miranda Rae Carter has lived in British Columbia, Canada, her whole life, and is a self-proclaimed home-bug. She spends most of her time doing what she loves, and that is being a mom and wife—and trying to master the art of cooking. The rest of her time is divided between looking in mouths and writing. BOOK BLITZ: Melynda Price - Courting Darkness

Paranormal Romance
Date Published: 1/23/14
She’s captured the hearts of Heaven and Hell…
Betrayed by her true love, Olivia cannot let go of the angel her mind doesn’t remember, but her heart refuses to forget. In an attempt to reclaim her broken life, she is determined to unearth her past, but some secrets are better left buried.
To save her life, he sacrificed everything. Universal Law was broken when Liam violated Olivia’s free will. His guardianship has been revoked, and the pain of letting her go is nothing compared to the torture of enduring their shattered bond. He can no longer sense her, no longer feel her, and the enemy he risked it all to save her from, now has free reign to claim her for his own. To get her back, Liam must turn away from all he is, all he was, for the one thing he may have already lost forever—Olivia’s love.
Haden will stop at nothing to possess Immanuel’s Stone, and locked away in Olivia’s memories is the key he needs to find it. But in his quest for vengeance, he never expected to lose his heart to the enchanting green-eyed beauty. Forced to choose between love and revenge, Haden is captivated by a woman who will never be his…or will she?
EXCERPT
Before Olivia’s feet could touch the pavement, Haden’s hand was on her arm–his grip firm and unrelenting. It was difficult to imagine his touch being otherwise, yet only a score of minutes ago, he’d held her with a gentleness she’d thought him incapable of.
Looking at him now, wearing that standard-issue scowl, the impassive arrogant glint in those sea green eyes, she’d swear this wasn’t the same man. And therein lay the problem… She thought of him as such when the truth was, Haden wasn’t a man at all. Sure, he shared some of the same Homo sapien genetics, but he was so much more. And the minute she let her guard down and forgot that, was the moment she’d surely die.
***
Grinding his arousal against her backside, he growled, “I should take you right now for that little stunt. Haul that cush ass of yours into the back seat and finish this!”
It was a threat Olivia knew he could easily carry out. At her shameful, breath-hitching sob, Haden hissed a curse. His biting grip on her neck eased a touch. “Do you think that I want to want you, Olivia?”
She hoped his question was rhetorical because she couldn’t speak past the lump in her throat.
“Do you think this is some game you can outplay, outwit and outlast me? It’s not Survivor! I am ancient, Olivia, old as fucking Noah and his Ark. I’ve spent lifetimes hunting and killing the Sighted. Do not tempt me again, or I swear to God I’ll finish what you started.”

“I have to say I was a bit shocked by this one, not just of Nate’s need to control everything but also of Marina’s complete change from a completely independent woman to allowing her life to be ruled. I’m looking forward to reading the next one and finding out how their relationship develops.”
* Booksessed Bec * on Amazon
”The one thing that I absolutely love about Serena’s books it’s that you can relate to the women. Also you absolutely find the men just irresistible! The relationship between Marina and Nate in my opinion is one to be completely envious of! I love how Nate breaks Marina down and then build her back up. Love how he exposes her, but shields and protects her at the same time. It’s not just a D/S relationship. Not about the punishments and the the great sex. It’s about the the way Marina discovers the woman she really is inside. The woman that she denied herself to be. The woman that only Nate can bring out of her. I can’t wait to read more. I absolutely love the Naughty Nookie series.”
Giselle on Goodreads
”Unbeknown to Marina, Nate was a Dom who suppressed his desires to be with her, but no more, she is going to submit to him or lose him. Will she be able to do this as they go back to the ranch were she was born?
I like Serena Akeroyd’s writing style and the theme for these novels - becoming your true self through sexual liberation. i’m looking forward to the next part of Marina’s story."

Paradise Taken
Based on true events.
Four lives, intertwined by friendship and business, whose true story was more devastating than fiction.
Rob and Kaye were thrilled to be moving to the island of St. John with dear friends Jake and Claire. The men were going into business together and relocating with their families to the beautiful tropical paradise. It was a dream come true for the longtime friends.
But, when feelings are revealed and temptation takes control, one friendship turns from lust to love and no one can walk away unscathed.
And, one person’s ultimate decision leaves everyone lost and devastated.
Excerpt
Jake took the lounger next to me, and we sat in silence for a while as we gazed up at the clear night sky. Jake finally broke the quiet night air. “Are you happy living here, Kaye?”
“Yes, very…why do you ask?”
“I was just asking. You seem to glow all the time like you’re very content.” He smiled slightly. “I only ask because I like to see you happy. You have the best smile, and it’s contagious. It brings me tremendous joy.”
I flushed at his comment. It stirred something in me—embarrassment, confusion, happiness…I didn’t know. Jake reached over and put his hand on my arm, and a chill ran through me.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable. We’ve known each other a long time, and I’ve always wanted to tell you that.”
I felt his sincere kindness, and it made me blush again. I leaned my head back and closed my eyes. “Jake, you are so sweet to say such nice things to me. All these years you’ve treated me with love and respect, and I adore you.”
Jake leaned over and kissed my cheek, and I jumped at his touch. His eyes widened in shock, almost like he couldn’t believe he’d done it either. We both stared at each other for a few long seconds, then started laughing.

Saving Us (Sequel to Paradise Taken)
Our love affair wasn’t what everyone wanted it to be. It was raw and full of absolute joy
and unbelievable pain. !
My love for another woman had consumed me for years and now that Kaye was mine, I
wasn’t ever letting her go. I knew the consequences of our affair would be devastating to
our families, but I was too selfish to walk away.
My beautiful Kaye was having my baby and we were determined to get our happily ever
after….until one day, one event, one conversation threatened it all. !
"I had to know what went wrong. My stomach was sick with grief and I didn’t know what to
do next or even how to help Kaye.
I needed to get to her.
It didn’t matter what Rob or Claire thought. No one could stop me from going. I knew
she needed me. I could feel it deep in my soul.” Jake
Excerpt
The pain in Kaye’s eyes was almost too much for me to bear. I knew she loved me and wanted
to be with me, but having Rob and the kids standing there when we drove up was painful for her.
I wanted to force her back into my car and drive away. I knew that would never happen. She
loved her kids too much, and she still cared a great deal about Rob. !
I was certain their kids knew nothing about the baby being mine. It appeared that the affair
wasn’t a big surprise, but apparently, the paternity was a secret. That didn’t matter to me—not at
that moment. !
Reluctantly, I got in my rental and drove away from the love of my life and my baby. I needed to
give Kaye some time with Rob and her kids. I hated it, but I didn’t really see a choice. !
As I drove back to our hotel, I thought about how things could have been all these years had I
just told Kaye about my feelings while we were in college. I didn’t regret my life with Claire,
and I certainly didn’t regret my children, but they’d never fully had my heart. It belonged to
someone else and the life I’d missed out on.

Book Blitz: Ocean's Collide, The Oceans Trilogy by M.A. De Olmos
Book Title: Ocean’s Collide (Book 1 of The Oceans Trilogy)
Author: M.A. DeOlmos
Genre: New Adult
Release Date: December 3, 2013
Hosted by: Book Enthusiast Promotions
My name is Livie Marie Acosta. I am a firm believer that childhood memories are supposed to be happy, joyous, and beautiful. I also believe everyone else in life has just that… except for me, of course.
I came close to having that once with my own family. I had a loving mother that treated me like her little princess. My father was, and still is, the biggest support system in my life, but even his love isn’t enough for me at times. I would have been a proud big sister at the age of seven, but Antonio Jr. was torn away from us before he was even born.
I was destined to be alone and hurt, both emotionally and physically scarred.
The only skeletons that remained of my once happy family was a father I adored, but who lived hundreds of miles away, and a mother whom I had spent most of my own life saving from her demons.
Like many people, they are scarred so deep that when they bleed, it is a reminder that they are still human.
I have a secret. A secret only I know about. I keep my secret well, and keep it hidden from the peeping eyes of the world.
At least I tried… that is until two angels barged into my life, and into my scattered heart. Their presence in my life spun me on my heels, turning my world yet again upside down, and right side up all at the same time.
What I find could either save me, or finally push me over the edge.
My name is Melissa DeOlmos, a newbie to the world of indie writing. I live in sunny side Palm Bay, Florida with my two lovely crazies ages five and two, along with my Law Enforcement champ of a husband. I could say that writing novels has been a passion that I’ve always pursued, but I can’t. Writing for me has always been my own secret escape into a land of wonders, opportunities, loves and so much trouble that I sometimes wonder if I need medication for the stories that pop into my head. I am now deciding to share my mystical mind and stories with the world, so that hopefully others may also find that little something extra they’ve been looking for. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy my books.
Livie and Lawrence
I heard someone clearing their throat, causing me to snap my head up from my phone. Coming around the corner was a tall and very, very hot guy. I must have turned into a deer caught in some kind of bright and sexy as hell headlights. Since when did Paul Walker buff up and open an MMA studio.
“Can I help you?”
Realizing my mouth was open, I snapped it shut and nervously stuffed my phone in to my pocket. “Yes. I was actually wondering if the owner was hiring for staff yet. I saw an article in the paper highlighting a new MMA studio opening. Do you know where I can find the owner?”
“You’re looking at him, Sunshine.” I looked him up and down from head to toe again.
“Serious?” He looked a little offended by my response, but he looked so young to be in this business. He should be modeling or catching some hang ten waves as a professional surfer. He had that look about him.
“Ouch, Sunshine. What’s wrong with me being the owner?” He asked honestly while crossing his thick arms across his chest, and those biceps were oh so yummy.
“Sorry… I didn’t mean for it to sound so rude. You just look very young to be in this type of business. I hope I didn’t offend you.” His smile returned and it instantly calmed me.
“Sunshine, you don’t have to apologize,” he said as he made his way toward me. He extended his hand out and I took it in mine shaking it firmly. Dad always said a firm handshake was a sign of respect. His touch was warm and soothing. Something about him made me feel extremely comfortable. It wasn’t just that he was sexy and looked like the delicious Paul Walker. His energy enveloped me and calmed me for some reason. “I’m Lawrence Grant Hawthorne. Nice to meet you.” Letting go of his hand I smiled back.
“Livie Acosta. Nice to meet you, too.”
“So you say you’re looking for a job? Here at my studio?” He asked this in a rather incredulous way. I ignored the dumb look on his face, because honestly, he didn’t know I could put him on his ass in a second. I reached into my shoulder bag and pulled out my portfolio. “Yes. I am interested in working for you, especially, if you are going to turn this studio into an MMA training facility. That’s what I read in the paper.”
He took my portfolio and opened it, keeping an eye on me as he perused it. He flipped it open and skimmed through it. This guy was tall, and I had to tilt my chin up just to make eye contact. God, I hated being short right now! As quickly as he opened the folder, he closed it and handed it back.
“Okay, Livie. You seem to have some experience in martial arts, and if you want to work for me, you wouldn’t mind showing me what you’re made of, would you?”
Cocky son of a bitch. I reached over, pulled my shoulder bag off, and laid it on the counter. I emptied my back pocket of my phone and car keys. Smiling, I looked up at him. “I thought you’d never ask.”
