Title: Redemption

Book 3 in The Fixer Series

Author: Alyson Raynes

Genre: Suspenseful Romance/Erotica

Synopsis:

Dylan Prescott is a man who knows what he wants and will stop at nothing to keep the woman he loves safe. Living a privileged life has afforded the Prescott family many luxuries–until one of the family’s deepest, darkest secrets is revealed.

Alone and fighting for his life in a Russian hospital, Dylan realizes he is in way over his head. Unsure of how to sever his ties with those who are most corrupt, he begins plotting a new way to help people and finally become the man he knew he was always destined to be.

Brooke Prescott has been missing for nine months. Unsure of who–or where– she is, she must fight to remember and find her way back to those who love her the most.

Will Brooke remember Dylan, or have recent events changed her so much that she will walk away and never look back? Or can Dylan be strong enough for the both of them? Can he learn to be the driving force to their redemption?

“They say if you get a second chance in life, you should take it. Sometimes that is easier said than done, especially when you’re the one that’s caused all the pain.”

Excerpt 1:

Tears streamed down my face as I remembered the first time I met him. He was so young, beautiful and full of life, not like the man I had seen suffering in pain, just days ago. My heart burned to see him, my fingers ached to touch him, just like when we shared our first kiss. A kiss that I would never forget for as long as I lived. It was forbidden, both of us promised to another, but the attraction was so strong, neither one of us could fight it. I could still feel it, no matter how far apart we were. He was my soulmate.

Excerpt 2:

Women. What was it with them always trying to fix their friends up with men they knew nothing about? I came to the conclusion, that I would never understand.

Now, Stephanie, that was a woman after my own heart. She didn’t play that bullshit game. You always knew exactly where you stood with her, and that was usually right on my cock. The first time I fucked her, I knew I’d met my soulmate. I loved a woman that knew how to take control in the bedroom, and one that knew when it was my turn.

I enjoyed tying to her my bed, but I equally enjoyed it when she did it back. And that night with the vibrator…well…it was fucking hot! My favorite though, was when she let me watch her with another woman. Holy shit! I had never seen anything more beautiful in my life. The way they caressed each other’s bodies, while tongue kissing each other, made my cock harder than it’d ever been.

Excerpt: 3

“Princess, I have to go. You heard Nurse Ratchet over there barking her orders,” I said, holding my stomach as I leaned in and kissed her hand. “I love you. Don’t ever forget that, Brooke.”

“Nothing but diamonds. Right, Cowboy?” she asked as I was being wheeled away.

“That’s right, Princess. Nothing but diamonds.”

She remembered. I couldn’t believe it, but she remembered. It was what I’d said to her after she had made her promise to me. It would forever be etched in my heart: her words, her confession of her love to me.

“You’re perfect,” she said, placing her lips on mine. “I love you more than anything in this world. I will give you whatever you want, whatever you need. That is my promise to you, Dylan.”

She had looked so damn beautiful sprawled out before me, completely naked. I couldn’t help myself when it came to her. That night, I surprised her by introducing toys into our sex play, and then told her, I wanted to fuck her while she was wearing diamonds and nothing else. Of all the things to remember…she remembered me making love to her.

Bullying

Bullying-  It’s a word that I have seen popping up a lot lately.  It’s no longer just a school problem but has become a society problem.  There are assholes everywhere.  At school, on the street, sitting behind computers, hiding where no one really knows who are they are.  It’s become a HUGE problem and I guess I have a hard time understanding why we as a society still tolerate this type of behavior from individuals.

So with that said, I am going to share a little bit about myself with all of you and my experience with bullying.

Twenty-one years ago, I gave birth to the most beautiful, baby boy.  His name is CJ.  I had a very tough pregnancy, in which both of our lives were at risk.  I first went into labor at 23 weeks with him, and continued down that road the rest of my pregnancy.  Finally, the blessed day came when I had to go in for an emergency c-section, because they could no longer stop my labor.  CJ was born 6 weeks premature, and at the time, although he was in an incubator and on oxygen, things seemed like they would be normal.

Flash forward 3 years later, and my life would be turned upside down.  Not only was he hearing impaired and visually impaired, but he had been diagnosed with cerebral palsy.  But you know what?  It didn’t matter.  Because to my husband and I, he was the greatest blessing that we could have ever received from God.  Was it hard?  Hell yes it was hard!  But nothing was harder than sending my son off to school so that he could be made fun of and called a retard, only to return home in tears, day after fucking day!  I wish I could tell you that it got easier…but it didn’t.  At twenty-one years old, he still deals with mean ass people that live in this world.  If it isn’t the constant staring, or look of disgust as he walks by, it’s the snide, rude comments that are made.

People don’t think he hears them, but you know what?  He does!   And it’s hurtful!

So yeah, I know a thing or two about bullying from personal experience.   As I’m sure everyone does, because I think it’s happened to all of us at some point in our lives.

And this is why I try to keep drama out of my life!  I have enough stuff to deal with in my personal life, and I honestly don’t have time for it anywhere else.  Have I been bullied?  You bet your sweet ass I have.  I’ve had people make up lies about me as well.  But you know what, those people aren’t worth my time or the breath out of my mouth, so I just take notes as to who my friends are and aren’t and go along my merry little way.

My point is, there will always be that one person who is so jealous of you, that they’ll make whatever they have to up, to make themselves feel better.  And there will always be a group of “plastics”, aka “Mean Girls” who will be waiting to shove a knife in your back just so they can watch you bleed. Don’t give them the time of day!

How do you stop it, you ask?  Stop feeding into the bullshit!  Don’t feed into their drama.  Put your middle finger up and walk away!  You don’t have to listen to it!  Because honestly, that’s where bullying really starts.  With the he said, she said crap.  Imagine, if no one listened and repeated what they heard, how quickly an asshole would be shut down.

I have learned many things from my son over the years.

No matter how bad life seems, always wake up with a smile and thank God for another day.  It doesn’t matter what others think and say about you, it’s how you choose to handle what they say about you.  Because remember, you can’t change them, you can only change you.

So love those who love you, be nice to those who don’t and understand that you have a bigger purpose on this Earth than to worry about trivial crap.  Take a lesson from my son.  Smile everyday, be nice and let the other shit roll of your back.

Be Happy,

Alyson Raynes

Breaking News!

Happy Friday!

I have a couple of announcements to make and I figured this would be the easiest place for me to announce them.

1.  Facebook is hiding most of my posts just as they are everyone else’s.  So…if you want to stay connected with me, please subscribe to my newsletter.  I do not spam and I only send important updates.  :)

2.  My blog tour ends on Sunday, March 23rd.  There is a giveaway attached to the tour and you can find the link to that under Aly’s Blog, The Fixer Series Blog Tour.

3.  Tomorrow marks the 30 day countdown to the release of Redemption!   Woo Hoo!   Now here’s some updated news about the release date.  I was originally going to publish on April 20th, but it was brought to my attention that April 20th is Easter Sunday.  Therefore, I will not be publishing on Easter Sunday, because I will be spending it with my family and I respect the same of my readers and fans.   I do apologize for that little mishap on my part.  Redemption will be released on Tuesday, April 22, 2014.

4.  My online store is now open.  You can purchase Fixer inspired items in there, such as hoodies, T-Shirts, book bags, etc… If you see something in there but the size is not available, please let me know.  I can have more made.   You can find my store on www.alysonraynes.com, click on Rayne Gear and then click the Etsy box.

Thank you all for your kind and loving support!   I think this is probably the first blog post where my ADD wasn’t coming through.  LOL

Have A Wonderful Weekend and Happy Shopping,

Aly
