Alyson enjoys bringing characters to life and has been writing since she was a little girl. Her first published book was in elementary school, where it was put on display in the library for others to read. Alyson ’ s love for books is what compels her to write and create new worlds of her own for others to enjoy. She enjoys writing everything from erotica to suspense thrillers. Deception is the first book in The Fixer Series, which is both an erotic romance and suspense thriller.
A Colorado native, Alyson loves to travel. She has visited Ireland, Mexico and most of the United States. Her favorite vacation hideaway is Hawaii. She has a love for the ocean and enjoys swimming with sea turtles in the wild. Alyson is a former accountant who has traded in her abacus for a full-time writing career.
She has been happily married for twenty three years to her high school sweetheart and is the proud mother of two adult children. Her love of quilting keeps her busy in the winter months when she isn ’ t writing. Alyson ’ s favorite past time is spending time with her family, watching football and laughing together.

Wrinkles Suck!
As you can probably tell by the title of this post, I’m not really enjoying the aging process. And…you’re probably wondering what in the hell sparked this thought all of a sudden. Well let me tell you! First of all…when you become a middle aged woman, selfies are no longer your friend! The struggle is real! Every time I take a new selfie all I see are those fucking wrinkles and bags around and under my eyes! Believe me, I have tried everything and nothing takes away what heredity gave you! It sucks!
When I was younger I could totally get away without wearing make-up. I didn’t even really care for it much. A little mascara and lip gloss went a long way. Then enter my 30’s. I got a little brave and started using foundation, blush and eye liner and oooh lala! I was rockin that shit like a cat loves catnip! I like to refer to those as the good old days. Now that I’m in my 40’s, I struggle to find the right concealer that doesn’t get stuck in my wrinkles and laugh lines. I use neutral colors on my eye lids so I don’t look like a $3 whore, because I’m worth waaay more than that. HA! And…now…well, it’s kind of like your boobs and ass, everything starts to sag. Thank God for Victoria’s Secret!
I took a selfie this morning to promote how much I love a certain color of lipstick and I can’t believe I posted that shit to Facebook! Honestly! What the fuck was I thinking? I put it all out there for the whole world to see. All of my beautiful imperfections just out there staring back at me and all of my family and friends.
I guess there is one good thing about getting older. It’s the ability to get a really bad hair cut that you hate, wrinkles, bags and let’s not forget hooded eye lids…but you just don’t give a fuck anymore! Your give a fuck meter got up and went the moment you took that selfie and posted it for all to see.
The moral of the story? Even though we ALL have imperfections, it’s important to remember that no matter what our outer appearance looks like, it’s what’s on the inside that truly matters. My advice is to avoid selfies! Those fuckers do nobody good, unless you’re 20 years old and all of your skin is still nice, tight and perfect. I’m kidding! Embrace your beauty and remember…love yourself just the way you are. Even if you notice every little imperfection. You’ve earned it!

Summertime and a Book Deal!!!
Summertime and a Book Deal!!!
Although the summer started out rough, this last part has been thoroughly exciting! I am so happy and excited to announce that after 3 very long months, I have signed with a publisher! Booktrope will be revamping and re-releasing The Fixer Series and all books that pertain to that series! I am unsure if they will be publishing Kiss of Summer or if I will be publishing that under my own publishing company, Alyson Raynes, Inc. For now, the focus is on Deception, Promiscuous, Redemption and Triztan.
I couldn’t be happier and look forward to this next venture in my writing career.

Summertime Desserts by Alyson Raynes
There is nothing more that I love in the summertime than delicious desserts. When I was a little girl, I remember bugging my Grandma for 50 cents so that I could go to the ice cream truck and get a bomb pop with the other kids. It was a tradition until I became too cool for it around the age of 12. Now at 43, I find myself longing for those days. HA! Funny how as we age , we tend to want to regress to the good ole days.
One of my favorite all time desserts came to me when I married my husband. His mother has a love for making desserts and making me fat!!! LOL! I don’t care! I love to eat sugar and I plan on enjoying my life to the fullest. One of the things she makes is a graham cracker ice cream dish (I like to call it, Ruth’s Graham Cracker Delight). It’s so good! I mean…OMG GOOD! Like, the minute I stick the spoon in my mouth, my tongue has an orgasm! It’s that…damn…good!
So…since you will probably hear a lot about food in my upcoming New Adult Novel, #Kissofsummer, I thought I’d share the recipe with you.
Ruth’s Graham Cracker Delight
Ingredients Needed:
1- Box of Graham Crackers
1- Stick of Melted Butter
1- Gallon Vanilla Ice Cream
In a blender, blend the graham crackers until they are fine.
Melt the butter in the microwave until it is liquid.
In a baking square baking dish (you will need to determine the size based on how many graham crackers you have crushed.) Pour the melted butter into the graham crackers and stir and then pat out until it forms around the dish, creating a graham cracker pie crust.
Melt the ice cream in the microwave, (you will need to judge how much of the ice cream you need by the depth of your baking dish.) Then pour the melted ice cream into the graham cracker crust in your dish.
You can either sprinkle some more graham crackers on top or leave it without.
Let it freeze over night and then serve for dessert the next day!

Kiss of Summer and Malicious Beauty
It’s been a while since I made my last blog post. I do apologize, but my personal life has been a bit on the crazy side lately. If you didn’t know already, I have gone back to work full-time, which has made it a bit more challenging for me to write consistently over the past 2 months. I’m still trying to adjust my writing schedule with my work schedule, but I promise, I will get there.
I have also decided that I will publish Kiss of Summer before Malicious Beauty. Malicious Beauty was supposed to be a serial book, but I have since changed my mind and decided to make it a full length book, that way, you won’t have to wait to find out what happens next. Kiss of Summer will also be a full length novel. I ask that you be patient with me, as this book has some very personal writings in it, as well as many emotions that I am currently dealing with personally.
That is all for now. I’m not very exciting these days, but I’m hanging in there and look forward to publishing within the next couple of months.
