Editing Tip: Change your Format

Whenever it comes time to dig into a draft (first or
tenth), I change my format.

Personally, I find it IMPOSSIBLE to do a good edit on the
computer. My brain is not set to that function. For this reason, I have to
change my MS physical format. I go from writing on the computer/my ipad, to
editing with LOTS of colorful pens on good ol’ fashioned paper.

If you can, try this out.

Out Today: Wink Poppy Midnight, Shadow and Flame, Hold Still, etc....

Wink Poppy
Midnight by April Genevieve Tucholke

Every story needs a hero.
Every story needs a villain.
Every story needs a secret.
Wink is the odd, mysterious neighbor girl, wild red hair and freckles. Poppy is
the blond bully and the beautiful, manipulative high school queen bee. Midnight
is the sweet, uncertain boy caught between them. Wink. Poppy. Midnight. Two
girls. One boy.

I just needed a mental break from both the day job and my break-neck schedule because of these

It's St. Patrick's Day, I've been doing random "real-life" crap all day and just got here. No review today, but if you want to hear more from me, head over to Fiction University where I'm guest posting!

Creating a Tolerance of Rape Culture and Discrimination: The Easy Way

There is a pervasive thing that has wormed its way into
fiction and uses its own normalcy in an attempt to conform reader’s minds to a
tolerance of rape culture, discrimination and ableism.
And it’s as seemingly normal as your average CISHET White
Male protagonist.
This is the problem because he has become the default.
Life doesn’t come with that default. It shouldn’t.

the way Pinocchio seems to be changing from a
