Setting Goals and Keeping to Them
Each month, I write down what I want and need to get
done.
This month had 5 Categories: four different books and
then “admin”. It came out to 26 items.
It’s the ninth, and I’ve managed to knock off ten of
them. Which is great, but it’s also left me with the 16 that probably require
the most work from the list.
That’s why I always break my monthly list down at the beginning

Out Today: Fire Touched, Map of Fates, The Cold Between....
There’s a lot of them today!
Fire Touched by
Patricia Briggs
Tensions between the fae and humans are coming to a head.
And when coyote shapeshifter Mercy and her Alpha werewolf mate, Adam, are
called upon to stop a rampaging troll, they find themselves with something that
could be used to make the fae back down and forestall out-and-out war: a human
child stolen long ago by the fae.

Anxiety, Epilepsy, And My Writing
I make lists for everything (because otherwise, I’ll
forget). My memory is shot, unless the thing isn’t actually important, and
lists keep my anxiety from stabbing my brain a thousand times asking “did you forget
anything?” It only stabs me ten times, tops. (I almost started this post as a
list, but realized I needed more space than a bullet point provides.)
I try really hard to keep myself

IWSG: Drowning in the Marketing Pool
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who looks at every* part of the writing process and says "I can do this!" And then there's marketing....
Marketing is like that cricket in your bedroom wall. You know it's there, it annoys the heck out of you, people are constantly telling you the "right way" to deal with it, you know you have to deal with it, and yet, dealing with it feels like you need

A Study in
Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro –
The last thing sixteen-year-old Jamie Watson–writer and
great-great-grandson of the John Watson–wants is a rugby scholarship to
Sherringford, a Connecticut prep school just an hour away from his estranged
father. But that’s not the only complication: Sherringford is also home to

Week's Links 2/28
I’m a busy bee again this week, so it’s a short list of
links. Maybe someday I’ll get caught up and be able to get a meaty link post up
again. ;)
Ever
wonder what it looks like inside a lava lamp? Now you can know.

Cover Reveal: MoPO Book 5 - The Ghost Rebellion
I don’t think it’s a secret that I’ve loved the Ministry
of Peculiar Occurrences series since I got an arc of Phoenix Rising back in
2011. So I was ecstatic to hear there was a way to make book 5 happen back when
Pip and Tee set up their kickstarter for The Ghost Rebellion. I’m happy to be
able to help them out in today’s cover reveal.
