M J Summers
If you feel this preview is full of innuendo, “I suggest you have a dirty mind…”
She lost her virginity in the world of publishing just 8 days ago, has not even had time to come up for air, yet my next guest is already preparing for a second go at it…
So what is the draw that takes her away from the limelight and onto Simons 10 Q Interviews? Clearly not this host; as he is content… built for comfort not speed, the once glorious six pack having long since graduated into a middle aged one pack…
Ok, If you haven’t already figured it out, before I reveal the identity of my next guest, here is an interesting fact that may or may not have been influenced by her recent best selling publication…
FACT; During Q3 of this year Viagra has reportedly taken its first rise in sales since Q4 of 2012… Did my next guest influence that, and moreover did she invest in Viagra shares prior to publishing her debut novel? Enough teasers…it’s time to reveal my next guest on Simons 10 Q Interviews…
We are of course talking of M. J. Summers, the debut author who, until little over a week ago, was unheard of within publishing circles. She has taken amazon by storm, seemingly reaching the parts that few other novels in 2013 have been able to; Nos #1 in genre on the first day of release and reaching #57 of the Top #100 amazon books within a week.
I hear cries of “Selling Sex, it’s a sure thing, easy to create swelling sales figures and bulging bank balances!”
Really? Maybe for the likes of Jackie Collins
or someone with enviable celebrity links. But, for the millions of attempts each year, very few tickle the top spot and I suggest only a handful reach the ultimate climax within the Top #100 books, for any length of time….
I must be honest, it is not my genre of choice, in fact such books are banned from promoting on the Facebook Group Book Lovers for which I am the admin… But, the fact remains – with the nation and many avenues of promotion closed to her, how does a suburban housewife with little knowledge of promotion, an average following on social networks and no experience of the world of publishing, just how has she achieved what hundreds of authors attempt and fail to achieve in their entire careers, and how has she achieved it within a single week….
It’s the million dollar question to which I have no premature answer… But, come again in a week or so and MJ will reveal the the naked truth
to you all.

H Alan Day
A third generation rancher, my next guest graduated from the University of Arizona before returning to manage the ranch on which he was brought up with his sister.
For 40 years post graduation he managed the 200,000-acre cattle ranch namely Lazy B. a ranch which straddles the high deserts of southern Arizona and New Mexico. In 1980 he purchased a second ranch in Nebraska and soon after yet another in South Dakota…
So, why oh why, I hear you ask is this individual running the gauntlet of Simons 10 Q Interviews….
Because, fellow readers, because….
The man I refer to is the ranching legend, H. Alan Day. His sister, none other than former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, and together they co-authored “Lazy B”
, the New York Times Best selling memoirs of their time growing up in the world of ranching.
Alan has been gripped by this way of life, inspired and often held spellbound, by both the beauty and dangers, the rewards and the challenges. His incredible experiences, which have led him to lobby congress in pursuit of a cause, have inspired a second memoir, namely The Horse Lover, co-authored by Lynn Wiese Sneyd, the Foreword, written by his sister and former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.
