Andrew Hughes
Born in Co. Wexford my next guest was educated at Trinity College in the city of Dublin where he still resides. He is a qualified archivist and worked for Ireland’s RTE before going freelance. His debut Novel The Convictions of John Delahunt was Shortlisted for the 2013 Irish Book Awards and his writing style has been likened to that of Andrew Taylor, Andrew Miller and Peter Ackroyd.

It was whilst conducting research for his acclaimed book, Lives Less Ordinary: Dublin’s Fitzwilliam Square 1798-1922,
that Andrew first came across the true story which inspired him to write his debut novel; The Convictions of John Delahunt.
We are of course talking of the exceptionally talented Andrew Hughes who has agreed to run the gauntlet of Simons 10 Q Interviews…

My next guest has started 2014 at the pace of an Olympic athlete, with a Page One Editorial feature in the Wall Street Journal, another feature in The Times and a spread on the Facebook homepage of Amazon. Of course, whilst I recommend all interviewee’s ‘limber up’ before running the gauntlet on Simon’s 10 Q Interview, I have never seen rehearsals taken so seriously!
Given all of the above publicity one might be forgiven for thinking he is a traditionally published name such as Dan Brown, Clive Cussler or the like. But you would be wrong, though his amazon ranking as an author is right up there with both of them….
So, let’s find out a little about our next guest before he arrives….
My next guest has been confounding authors due to the pace at which he writes; an astounding 25 self published books during the course of 30 months, with countless Bestsellers amongst them.
Under the pen name of Russell Blake, Craig Rosso is reported to have sold over 450,000 books electronically during the last 2.5 years, earning in the region of $1.5 million. Not bad at all for a man who is alleged to have been originally motivated by little more than boredom.
Russell Blake, now 52, had retired as a property developer, moved from the US to Mexico and spent much of his time enjoying tequila until, he confesses, he had consumed about as much as he could bear. It was then, whilst looking for something else to occupy his time, that he decided to relinquish his mind of the ideas he had stored away. Ideas which so far have kept pace with the regular 12 hour tip-tapping sessions on his QWERTY….
Ladies and Gentlemen, I consider us to be incredibly fortunate that Russell has agreed to take time out from his harrowing writing schedule to run the gauntlet of Simons 10 Q Interviews.

James Becker
Whilst your fellow countrymen sleep soundly at night, you are attempting to anonymously survive your career in keeping that luxury something that they can take for granted.
